I've no idea what happened - but it sounds as if plugging in the phone has fried the logic board. The best thing that I can recommend is that you take the machine to your local Apple Store/AASP and have them diagnose the problem.
At this point, there's simply nothing else that you can attempt.

There is an issue with Photoshop specifically related to recent updates in which causes the licensing to revert to trial after a certain number of launches (typically 2-3).
The current workarounds are to either:
- Sign in with your Adobe ID again every few launches
- Uninstall Photoshop CS6 and then reinstall it but don't install any of the updates
The issue with the updates is planned to be fixed in the coming weeks. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps for unexpected power off issues found in the article below.
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

You won't. Had you placed the phone immediately in a bag of dry rice for a few days, you might have had a chance. But turning on a phone before it dries completely just destroys it.

iPods do not work with "accounts." They work with your iTunes library. You don't have to set up a new iTunes library for each iPod. One iTunes library can sync with as many iPods, iPhones, and iPads as your own, at the same time. iTunes connects to and treats each device separately.
However, if your iPod nano is set up for automatic syncing with an iTunes library that is NOT your current iTunes library, you cannot sync your current library to it without replacing its existing content. Do you have access to the previous iTunes library, the one the iPod currently synced to? If so, you should transfer your song files from that iTunes library to your current iTunes library. Then, sync our iPod to your current iTunes library. You can post back to get more info about the procedure.
If you don't have access to that previous iTunes library, the approach is to first offload the song files from the iPod to your computer's drive, then add the song files to your current iTunes library.
You cannot use iTunes to transfer song files from iPod to computer, except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store. However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
You can then sync your iPod to your "consolidated" iTunes library.

I recently got a (fake anti virus) virus and it damaged my computer. I got it fixed and reinstalled the software and it appears to be working correctly. Could this be the part of the problem ?
Would it help if I reloaded the Itunes (off an external HD) or downloaded it again from Itunes ?

I doubt it. For my updates, it has typically taken me many tries/retries. Like for you, the download would stop. and I would have to restart from the beginning. If you get a network timed out error try disabling the security software on your computer.

Plugged USB into my MBP and it shut down. Doesn't restart, what to do?

MacBook won't boot. Receive Kernel Error. How do I get it to work again?

Randomly yesterday received pinwheel while using. Tried to restart but got stuck on grey apple scenery and would not go any further. I turned it off and plugged it to power source and left it over night. Turned on fine in morning. I plugged a flash drive in to USB and got pin wheel for several minutes. Had to restart and when I did I go the grey screen again, this time with the kernel error stating I had to restart my computer. It had happened every time I restarted since. Help. I have many files that are not backed up.

Macbook pro will not shut down, how do I get past the grey screen freeze without a hard shutdown?

Recently upgraded from 17" Macbook Pro to 15" late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina. I have an intemittant problem, (that I also experienced with my 17" Macbook) where when I log out or try to shut down I get a grey screen, no cursor, no spinning beachball... no way to escape a blank grey screen. Why yes, yes it is! I see that you are running 10.6.8, so the best soultion would be to upgrade to Mavericks. If I am not mistaken, it is at no cost to you. Just go to the Mac App Store & find the Mavericks upgrade. It should be one of the more popular options on the featured page.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your data. It sounds like you need to sign into your own Apple ID again on the iPad, then download your previously purchased iPad apps again. We have an article on how to do exactly this, and it can be found right here:
