I plugged in a charger for my iPhone and the system immediately shut off. What can I do?
Immediately I thought the worst, I just fried my computer. After looking through the forums I did disconnect and reset the battery connector carefully, no progress. When I plug in my charger, the power light shows this dim pathetic green like it has given up on life. I'm now assuming I have a serious problem, before I go to the Genius Bar I want to confirm this here and also I'm wondering if I will have to pay for the damages? If so how much does a replacement board run?

'When I explained my symptoms to the Genius tech, he said it sounds like "coma mode". Like Mr. H said, happens when the lid is open and closes to quickly. My machine checked out just fine from the diagnostic check. The Genius tech gave me this tip to get the MacBook out of "coma mode." You have to make sure that you macbook is hooked up to the AC power supply. Then depress the power switch (keep holding it down) and press the Option+Control+Shift keys. Keep these keys held for while counting to 5 and release. You Mac should come out of it coma and be ready to go.'

It probably overheated and shut down. Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons until an Apple logo appears. This will take 10 to 15 seconds of holding both buttons.

as of July 2014 Facebook won't upload photos when trying on my MacBook, yet my iPhone and the PC at work will, what's up with my Mac or Safari? I have updated my Flash and that seems fine. Facebook is not allowing me to upload photos of videos to my profile or friends profiles. Also when I post a link to an article the photo preview with the article no longer shows up either. Version 7.0.4I can upload photos to Facebook on Safari 7.0.5 and Mavericks v10.9.4 so update your OS X.
Go to Apple top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click Software Update, OR, open the App Store then select Updates from the menu top of that window. Then follow the instructions for updating OS X.
When you're done, launch Safari then uploading photos on Facebook.
If you still have problems, troubleshoot Safari extensions and third party plugins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If your missing device is off or offline, you cannot located it, however, you can still put it in Lost Mode, lock it, or remotely erase it. The next time your device is online, these actions will take effect.
As for the data on the iPhone, if you have backed up the iPhone with iTunes or iCloud, you can use the iPhone backup extractor to extract the data from the backup files to your computer, or restore the found data to a new iPhone with the help of iPhone PC Suite. -

If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten, restore the device from the computer to which the device is synced. For information and instructions, see:

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches after installing new software or apps.
If this does not help, and to rule out a software issue, set it up as new device without using the latest backup, in case that backup contains corrupt data.
Is the camera working after that, restore from the backup. Is the camera still not working, this might be a hardware failure and you'll have to get the phone serviced by Apple:

There's no way to "restore" your phone, but, you can login to iCloud.com, using your computer, locate your phone, then erase it.

You don't sync the MM calendar anymore, you subscribe to it in iCal,

The apple logo appears for 5 seconds then disappears for 10 then appears for five and so on. I can get it to the connect to iTunes screen but as soon as I unplug it from the wall it shuts off completely. A laptop with iTunes isn't enough to power it up. Can anyone help me fix this?

If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer
If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."

If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device. -
Ive been unable to install some free apps like podcasts and Kindle for some days. I don' t kow of i accidentally changed anything in the setting or what could have ahappened. can anyone help?
Here are some suggestions that have worked for other users that were in your situation and suffering from the same dilemma.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
