I plugged my iPhone 4S into itunes. It said it was times for my iTunes update and IOS update. I clicked yes and it said it will have to restore iPhone. Then a message appeared later saying Error. It was no longer visible on itunes! Now it is stuck!
It is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen. Itunes won't see it or my computer when I try to connect!!!!! I am freaking out. I got my old iPhone. Plugged into iTunes and it did the same thing! I Deleted iTunes. Then downloaded apple, but it won't recognize my phones as plugged in! HELP!!!
If you're in recovery mode, all data is ALREADY lost. You've no choice but to restore.

When opening the version of Iphoto i have an error message appears that says; You can't open your current iphoto library using this version of Iphoto. What version of iPhoto do you have? If you're on 10.5 then you're not running the latest iPhoto
Any chance that the library was opened with another version?
Simplest solution will be to just restore from your back up. -
Need to update my IPhone 4 and connected to the itunes on windows XP. I clicked on update and waited. A message appears that says," Cannot update etc. Please check your network settings/config., etc... or try again later" and it's been happening for a while. Please help.
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -

In Messages on the Mac do you have the Preferences > Messages section set to "Save History when Conversations are Closed" ?
This will store all IMs and iMessages in ~/Library/Messages/Archive.
Use the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and type that path into the Dialogue box that appears. (~/Library/Messages/Archive).
They are stored in dated folders so some guessing/trail and error will be needed.
You may find that if this was an iMessage and you send the person a new message that the whole History with that Contact since you installed Mountain Lion/Started Messages may appear and that it is scrollable the closer you get to the "top" and the top may keep moving until all is on show.

I cannot download Mavericks. Every time the file download stops a message appears that says the file is damaged and cannot be used to install Mavericks. I delete the file, download again and the same message appears. What can I do?
I only have one video project that I ever published to iDisk. It didn't have any music or photo files attatched to it, just a few clips stitched together. I can play these clips right now in the Event Library (so I know the source files are on my computer), but strangely, under the Project Library, the project is not there. I'm almost certain that I didn't store the project on iDisk; I just completed the video and published it to iDisk (as a .mov file I think) for family to see. I've tried to figure out how to get iDisk to stop looking for this project to no avail.
I don't know if others have experienced this, but if I click on any project and on the menu bar select Share --> Remove From --> Media Browser... it lists iPod, iPhone, iPad, tv, Computer and MobileMe. Why would MobileMe be an option here? This is the case for any video project I select. Didn't iLife '11 and/or OSX 10.8 remove all mention of MobileMe? I wonder if this is part of the problem too.
Edit: I just removed every project I have from the Media Browser. Still no luck. -

I live in Thailand - land of fakes - I recently had my comp. repaired - new motherboard. Now when I try to download something a message appears to say that my Internet Download Manager is registered with a fake number.
Thank you AlleyKat for your assistance. I did not try to delete IDM it sounded too dangerous for an old computer illiterate guy like me to tackle. But I followed the instructions and disabled it in tools. So I can download things again now. However when I restarted my computer after disabling, the message was still there asking me to pay for their license.
