If it there is a backup you will find in in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup. (Just open Finder>Go>Go To Folder..., past this in the path box and click Go.)

Have you talked to your carrier to confirm the unlock?
What was the procedure you did to unlock the phone?
Standard unlocking procedure once processed by the carrier:
Backup in iTunes
Erase the phone (ignore restore terminology here)
Plug the phone to the computer and then launch iTunes
Wait for unlock notification.
Restore the backup. -
I reinstalled my plug-ins into Photoshop CC (2014) on Mac OSX 10.9.4, and they are greyed out in the Filters menu. How do I get them to work? I have tried everything including repairing permissions.
My apologies. Your post jogged my little grey cells to the point that I did a few experiments. In essence, you are right. My plug-ins do not work with 8-bit greyscale images. I like to deliberately shoot B&W and have a Wratten #12 minus-blue filter on the lens--as I used to do with film cameras.
The raw files ( Fujifilm's .RAF) were converted in Adobe CR by checking off "Convert to Grayscale" under the fourth tab. In the future, I will do the B&W conversion in Photoshop with either Nik or Topaz plug-ins.

Someone made a purchase from my Apple ID to a device that was not mine – I received an email stating that this occurred, yet the only solution that Apple gave me was to change my password. When I look at my account, I can see the $20.00 purchase of music volumes that I did not purchase myself and was not uploaded to any of my devices; however, I cannot find a solution to getting my money back or to file a complaint against the unknown person that did this. Additionally, how do we prevent something like this from happening again, especially when I have an iPhone? What can I do in this situation?
Thank you for the suggestion. I did change the password; however, I generally will purchase gift cards to link to the account so that if something like this ever happened it would not be taken out of a credit card or bank account.

i deleted my note by accident i do have notes on icloud. so i had half the note saved but the other half was very important and hard to right. i restored my ipod on i cloud back up but it still doesnt show i put so much time in that anyway to get it back?
How did you delete the Note? If you did a "select all" and "cut", open the Note and shake your iPhone to undo the cut action.

ichat starts to open, lingers a second, then 'unexpectedly' quits. I'm in Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I can't find the ichat plist in the library, even though I've custom re-installed (even the hard way) and downloaded the latest upgrade. Que pasa?

If it's the iCloud email address that is incorrect, you cannot change it. If it's a non iCloud address, you can change it at My Apple ID -
i just downloaded two rental movies from the iTunes store, proceeded to sync them to my iPad, and now I can't find where they landed. Anybody know where to access rental movies on the iPad? thanks

To transfer a rented movie from iTunes, use the movies pane in iTunes. Rented movies transfer is at the top. You must have an Internet connection to transfer a rented movie. Select the "move" arrow in the direction you wish to transfer, and click the apply button at the bottom right. Rented movies can only exist on one device at a time, they do not sync like other video, but move from iTunes to the iPad. -

When I plug my ipod into my computer and click on itunes, I get three songs listed in a library that is not mine. It does not seem to recognize my ipod.
Pete I was having a similure problem with my 5th Gen. I cut my losses and stress and restored my iPod to factory settings. It wiped the device clean, but with all my music in iTunes it put it all back on in a matter of 5 minutes. Yes you may loose some music, but oh well at least your device is working.

"Notes" application and getting data off (or onto) the iphone
I would like to use the notes application for a variety of note / list type functions (shopping lists, ideas of things to do and ways to solve problems, etc.), but I ran into a pretty big stumbling block in making good use of it. If I type notes while I'm on the road, how do I copy / sync those notes with my PC? And how do I copy a text file (aka note) from my PC to the iphone so I can refer to it while I'm in the store or on the road. I can't believe they wrote synch software for my contacts and calendar in outlook, and forgot to put in a way to copy basic text notes to and from the iphone. Even my Palm Pilot Pro (circa 1998) did that... what am I missing?
Well, this is not exactly true. Somehow PC remembers your notes so that it puts it back even if you do complete restore of software/firmware which wipes off all you data on iPhone.
Now, if only someone could find where and how this data stored on PC and write some program to edit the PC data.... -

I will try to explain this as clearly as i can.
In December i noticed that my bill was not as high as it usually is. I then went back and saw that i was given a a 400 dollar credit to my account. i was not sure why it was there, but i didn't do anything about it yet because i was traveling for the holidays. i figured i would just handle it when i got back in town. What i did notice was my bill was less for the month of November and October. So on Jan 1st i got a text saying that my bill was $646 then i got the email telling me the same thing. I went online and saw that they took 400 dollar credit back and said I owed all that money plus a late fee. i called up to get this figured out.
First time i called (1/2/2014):
i spoke with someone that said they took the late fee off and then asked me to pay them all the money right then. i said i could not just drop all that money right there. I asked why i owe all the money when i had auto payment on and they should have been taking it. i also said it was not my fault this happened that it was an error on their end. I should not get penalized because of this. They sent me to their payment specialists to get it figured out. I spoke with two other people before i could get to someone that could do anything for me. The arrangement they gave me was i could pay 317 this month and 55 dollars for 6 months over my bill. This would get me caught up. I was frustrated and said i needed to call back. I really just needed to calm down.
Second time i called 1/6/2014):
I called up and was told my bill amount. I then realized they never took the late fee off my account, which really made me mad. They said they took it off again, but i really don't know. Then they sent me to their specialists again and i told them the situation from before about the deal. They said i could do that still, but there would be a late fee each month until i pay it off. My problem is that it is not my fault that this happened and i am being charged a late fee for a bill that i was never late with and i will be charged more until i pay it off. i also have been a customer for about 10 years and i have never been late on one payment.
I realize that i probably should not trust that setting up auto-pay will allow things to work out, but i guess i have learned to not trust it.
What should i do? Who can i call to get this figured out? they won't budge with anything.I'm sorry you received a credit that was added to your account by mistake thecook26. I can understand how frustrated you are with the entire situation. As stated by Elector, its always a great idea to contact us if you see a charge or credit you're unaware of on your bill. We do our best to correct all mistakes but contacting us when you see the mistake is always a great thing to do. I apologize that you have a late bill but we are trying to help with the payment arrangements so that your account will stay active because of an error cause by us but that still needs to be paid. I'm happy the first late fee was removed but I am unfamiliar with payment arrangements for 6 months. They are usually for 1-2 bill cycles. Please let us know if you have any other concerns.
