I-Pod Keeps Flashing A White Screen.HELP!

Every time I turn my i-Pod on it flashes a white screen with an i-Pod with a sad face on it and below it it reads," www.apple.com/support/ipod". Why is it doing this? The problem just started happening recently. Please, someone help me!

First try the standard reset.

If that does not work, connect the iPod to the computer. Does iTunes see it? If so, try using the Restore button on the iPod's Summary tab (in iTunes). This will erase it and restore its original settings.
If that does not fix the problem, it is likely that that the hard drive has gone bad.

    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

  • My phone keeps displaying a white screen with the apple, then occasionally flicks to a blue screen, but won't turn on! HELP!!

My phone keeps displaying a white screen with the apple, then occasionally flicks to a blue screen, but won't turn on! HELP!! I have had it on charge all day and have tried plugging it in to my computer to sync.

    Restore your software using iTunes.
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
You should be able to restore your backup file after this procedure. If the problem comes back, you either have corruption in your backup file, or a serious hardware problem that should be looked at by a tech at the Genius Bar (make an appointment first).

  • All I have on my I pod touch is a white screen with multicolored lines going across screen.  What do I need to do.  I can't use I tunes because it says I have to have passcode and can't get screen to come up.  I have already tried holding both keys down.

    - See if placing the iPod in Recovery mode will allow a restore.. It bypasses the passcode (and erases the iPod)
    - Next try DFU mode

  • Why do I keep getting a white screen and just play button when previewing in browser? CP 7 and 8

It doesn't matter what I try, I just keep getting a white screen show up with a play button in the middle. Once I have pressed the play button in the middle the rest of the slides play, this is not good - I need to ensure company logo is first thing users see.

  • I keep getting a white screen on my iPhone 5 when I check my mail

Why do I keep getting a white screen on my iPhone 5 when I check my mail?

This could be the result of a few different things.  A damaged LCD screen, corruption in the iPod's software, or a loose LCD ribbon cable.  If a restore of the iPod in iTunes does not take care of the issue, then the iPod likely needs to be serviced.

  • Logic 9 keeps crashing with white screen flash!!!

    Hi all,
Lately Logic has been crashing consistantly every 15-30 min since updated to 10.7.4. It has become absolutly unbearable now and is constantly ruining work and flow. Everytime it crashes a white screen flashes up and if im lucky i can save just in time before it completely freezes and the rainbow ball of death starts spinning. I have to then force quit logic. The crashes happen randomly in time and in task. The one reocurring act that i've found it tends to crash alot on is when trying to move some in the arrangement or the piano roll. I have no idea what the problem is and would post a crash report but since im force quiting EVERY time i am unable to obtain one.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problems and if so is there a fix.
    MRADERZ

Repair Disk Permissions did not work but so far so good on reinstalling the update.
Seems to be working fine on my macbook pro.
No crashes since reinstall so will do this on my imac when i get home from work.
Fingers crossed works the same as it is my main producing computer.
    Thank You AnaMusic unbelievably appreciated.

  • Keep getting a white screen then the computer restarts?? PLEASE HELP!

It seems like every time the computer starts to work too hard it just gets a white screen for a few seconds then it restarts.
This is on a Satellite P105 laptop.
I took it apart and cleaned all the dust out as someone suggested and it is still doing it. The fans are coming on and I also have it sitting on a cooling pad. I dont know what else to do?! Could the video card be damaged completely? Or could it be some other problem?

    Try the display driver first.
Does it happen with Wordpad?  Start, Proggrams, Accessories.
See if you can find a simple way to reproduce the problem.  Then try booting up in safe mdoe and see if it happens.  if it doesn't happen in safe mode, then it might be something that is loading in normal windows.  From the run command, run msconfig, and in that remove the checkmarks from everything in the Startup tab.  If you don't have the problem with that, then slowly add the checkmarks back in until you see which one causes the problem.
If safe mode still has the problem, then Startup Repair, or system roll back are worth a try.
Post back if something worked, or need more info, or you have more info.
    Hope that helps.
PS - While it could be hardware, there is a good chance it isn't and I think it is worth the effort to go down this road first.

ok i have a blackberry curve mobile, i dropped it in a pint of lager new years eve. i have left it to dry for months. first time i turned it on i was getting the white screen and it kept happning. so i tried updating the software and it worked fine for about 3 minutes. so i just left phone for a couple of weeks tried updating software again. last night it stayed on without turning off or having the white screen, but i get up in the morning to check my phone click it then the white screen appears again. making me very angry, because the white screen doesnt come on if i have my phone connected to USB to pc it stays on. anyone know why this is happning?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With moisture intrusion into a BB, the only thing that is predictable is that the results will be unpredictable. All of your symptoms could be perfectly understandable given the lager-bath your BB received. I'd recommend a new device ASAP (and get regular backups of your data, of course).
    Good luck!

  • My Nokia SuperNova 7510 is flashing a white screen...

Yesterday, my phone ran out of battery so I plugged it onto the charger and left it that way overnight like I normally do. When I tried to turn it on in the morning, a white screen flashed on the screen and it kept going from a black screen to white about 5 times and then shut off again. It keeps doing this, I've tried taking out the battery and SIM card and waiting for a while and nothing has happened. I've also tried the deep reset thing where you hold down the 3, green key, and * and the flashing still happens when I press the key to turn it on. Please help.

if you have done reset etc and the problem remains you need to take it to a nokia care centre im afraid you can try updating the firmware 1st though if nothing changes nokia care centre is your last resort
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Curve 8530 White Screen, help please?

I have a white screen. It did not get damaged or wet in any way. I can hear my phone ringing, hear alerts and see the LCD indicator light flashing. I cannot press any buttons to answer the phone or see the screen. The screen will only turn white when charging and hooked up to the computer, it will not respond to any pushes of any buttons. My device is recognized by the desktop manager on my computer. I have done the update to 5.0 Bundle 1675. I have also done a back up. My supported networks are CDMA 800 and 1900. I have tried rebooting both by taking the battery out before and after updating to the new version. I have NO hourglass, just the white screen. Any ideas?

    Hi
You've certainly been trying to sort it. Try my own method because it involves wiping the device completely. You have a backup so you should be good.
This what I did to completely wipe my BB. I wrote this before starting and printed it off.
If your device is functioning, perform a backup now if you haven't already done so saving the file to a place and in a name that you can easily locate on computer.
I then uninstalled DTM and then deleted all other references to BB/Rim in Windows Explorer thus removing the OS for the BB from the computer in order to ensure that the version I would reinstall would be a brand new downloaded version.
Get the latest Desk Top Software (DTS)
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/?CPID=OTC-DSKTPSW&cp=OTC-DSKTPSW
and install it on the computer.
Get the correct latest version of the OS
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    and save it to computer.
To erase all the data on your BlackBerry device, complete the following steps.
    1) Download JL_Cmder from http://www.4shared.com/get/oqP9V-2Q/JL_Cmder_v19.html
    2) Install JL_Cmder to computer.
    3) Double check you have already backed-up the BB. If you DO NOT, you will lose ALL data.
    4) Make sure the DTS is closed and plug in the BB to computer via USB
    5) Go to the JL_Cmder on your computer and double click it to start. Now,this may take a few tries to connect, so keep trying until it does.
    6) On the first screen, Press any key to continue.
    7) Now, if your device uses a password, enter it now. If not, press "N"
    8) Press 4 to initiate the WIPE
    9) Press "Y" to continue
    10) Now type "blackberry" to continue
    11) On the BB you will see a white screen with a'507' Error. Don't worry, this is what you want! You are now ready to install the OS.
Launch the new Desk Top Software on the computer
1). On the home screen of the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, click Device > Update my device.
2). Click View Other Versions. Click the version of the new OS you previously downloaded.
3). Click Install. The DTM will install the OS and then provide you with a list of applications to install. If you have had difficulties with an app, do not install it.
Do not disconnect the device until the whole process is completed and the device has rebooted.
After 10 minutes reboot again by removing the battery whilst powered-on and leave it out for a couple of minutes.
Leave it again for 10 minutes. You should now have a fully functioning BB!

  • HT201263 Ipod white screen HELP!

hey i have an ipod touch 4th gen and this morning it went to white screen and i cannot connect to my itunes because it isnt recognizing my ipod for some reason (i am guessing because of the white screen). When i try to reset my Ipod with holding lock and home button it shows me the apple then goes back to white screen. I have never encountered this problem before so I am stuck, and will this possibly result in my ipod being dead and me having to get another one.
This was coused by me trying to update to ios 6 and it just radomly stopped and wen to white screen.

I had the same problems: constant white screen (or sometimes white with colored lines) and iTunes would not recognize the iTouch.  After much experimenting, I was finally able to recover my iTouch using the following steps:
    1. Update iTunes to the latest version.
    2. Allow the iTouch to fully drain.  (Mine was so locked up that the 2-button hold reboot wouldn't work anymore.  You might try skipping this step if yours isn't quite as angry!).
    3. With iTunes running, connect the iTouch to the PC.
    4. Hold both the buttons until the Apple symbol appears, THEN KEEP HOLDING until a "connect to PC" screen appears.
At this point, iTunes finally recognized it long enough to allow me to select "recover".  As the update was downloading, the iTouch lost connectivity.  After the download was complete, I repeated step 4 above, and was able to select recover again.  Although it took a very long time, eventually the recovery completed, and iOS6 was installed.
By the way, if you are like me and did not have the latest iTunes installed, the restore process will download some version of iOS5 (instead of iOS6) then refuse to go any further after the download is complete.
    Hope this helps.

  • TV screen goes blank or flashes a white screen

During playback of movies or TV shows, the TV screen will go blank or it will flash a white fuzzy screen and then the picture will come back.  The audio continues uninterrupted.  We have reset the unit several times, I bought a new HDMI cable just in case that was the issue and still have the problem.
Another item we have noticed (and it could be related) if you got to video settings, we have the resolution set to 1080p.  But from time to time the setting reverts back to 720p.

..... Except, the Apple TV still won't change to the 1080p.
It's likely not as bad as you think, if your tv is 1080 then that's what you will be watching whether you have your tv set to upscale the picture to 1080 or whether the tv outputs at 720 and lets the tv upscale to 1080.
The worst scenario for you would be if the tv wasn't as good at upscaling as the tv. This largely depends on how good your tv is.
For example. We have a 50" LG tv in the front room, which is a little wacky since its display is actually something like 1366 x 768, so no matter what resolution we set the tv at the tv will always do some scaling. However it was noted that the tv is actually very good at scaling, indeed it's better than the tv (probably due to it costing c£ 3,000). So if we have a SD file, we get a better picture when the tv outputs at SD than when it outputs at 720, however we can't keep shifting resolutions to match our content so the tv is set at 720 (if it wasn't we would lose much of the quality when we play >SD content.
On the other hand our tv in the bedroom is a 46" Sharp Aquios and its upscaling is lousy. It's so poor that if we watch a SD tv broadcast (upscaled by tv to 1080) live and compare it to a recording of the same broadcast and played through the tv (output at 1080) the recording is noticeably better than the original broadcast.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that it all depends on your equipment.
