I pod mini wont turn on

Ive had my i pod for about 6 months now and it has been working fine and only ran out of battery once throughout the whole 6 months, but the day before yesterday i was listening to it it ran out of battery. I turned it back on and i started to work again but about 10 minutes later it indicated that it was out of battery again. So when i tried to turn it back on, it wouldnt work.
I tried charging my i pod but the screen is blank and it dosent seem to turn on at all. so i left my i pod disconnected for over 24 hours for it to drain but it still won't turn on. This is my second i pod. This is driving me nuts

everytime I try to turn on my ipod it wont. I press all the buttons on it and it still wont turn on. and yes I checked the hold button. after about an hour or so I try again and it may work it may not. this usually happens if I dont listen to it for about a day or so. Is this a common problem or is this a problem in my ipod?

  • My mac mini wont turn on but there is power to it as the usb port charges my iPad

My mac mini wont turn on but there is power to it as the usb port charges my iPad. My monitor uses a HDMI cable when the mac mini is off it says no input received which it does not say so it is receiving some signal from the mac mini. I have tried a different cable and a different monitor/ hdmi cable. The fan isnt running there is no start up noise but the little light on the front blinks every 4-5 seconds. Im booked in to see a GENIUS on sunday but I was wondering if there is anything I can do in the mean time. The mac mini is only 8 months old if that. Any ideas people? Oh the mac is also running mountain lion and has been since the day of release i've never had a problem up until this.

The following table lists the new tones and their meaning:
    Tone(s)          Description
1 tone, a 5-second pause, repeat          No RAM installed
3 successive tones, a 5-second pause, 3 successive tones          RAM does not pass data integrity check
1 long tone when holding down the power button          Firmware upgrade in process. See About firmware updates for Intel-based Macs for more details.
3 long tones, 3 short tones, 3 long tones          Firmware restoration from CD in process. See About the Firmware Restoration CD (Intel-based Macs) for more details.

Can you count the beeps or flashes?
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable
In addition to the beeps, on some computers the power LED will flash a corresponding number of times plus one. The LED will repeat the sequence after approximately a 5-second pause. The tones are only played once.
Note: In this case, a flash is considered to be 1/4 second or 250 ms or greater in length.

  • My ipad mini wont turn on what do i do?, my ipad mini wont turn on what do i do?

My Ipad mini wont turn on what do i do?

Assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Ipod mini wont turn on

i got a replacement mini from apple 2 days ago and it is very frustrating. it took many many attempts to get it to even upload songs and now that there are songs on it, it wont turn on. It is fully charged, i have tried resetting it, i have tried to re-update itunes and everything, it still wont work. The only time it turns on is when it is plugged into the computer and the hold switch is on. as soon as i turn the hold switch off so that i can actually scroll to anything, it turns off. PLEASE HELP

Does the computer see it when it's connected? Have you tried Restoring the iPod?

  • Help!, Ipad mini wont turn on even pressing both the home+power button

iPad wont turn on anymore even i press the home + power button (sleep/wake), nor even if i plug it with the orig. usb to the pc and to the charger! It doesnt respond to anything!. To simplify my problem,  heres what i have done:
    * I let it plug into the wall charger (original)OVERNIGHT,  - nothing happens
    * I plug it into the PC connect with iTunes (latest), - nothing happens, iTunes did not detect the iPad mini
    * i press the home + power button for more than 10 minutes - nothing happens
    * i have tried the dfu mode and nothing happens
Before this happened, the battery was at 43% then we tried to update it with IOS8 (so it was 2 weeks ago), since it alerted me that the battery will not suffice for the update process i cancelled the update ( the status was at "preparing update"). Then i put the iPad into the table.
The next morning this iPad is dead until now!!

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

  • Ipod mini wont turn on or charge

I really need some help with this one... i recently got my 2nd gen blue ipod mini replaced by apple and the new one they sent worked for approx 3 days and now wont turn on or reset...i figure the battery has run flat but when i plug it into my usb the charging battery comes up on the screen but is stuck on the 1st bar and wont move...i have tried resetting the ipod while it is plugged in but the charging battery symbol goes away for a second and comes back. What do i do?!?!?

It may be that your USB port is not delivering enough power to charge properly. Try an AC adapter or car charger, or USB on another computer.

  • My ipod mini wont turn on at all no matter what i try

I've tried toggling the hold button while holding down the menu and select buttons, and i've tried a few other things that i have been told to in the situation that my ipod wont turn on, but none of them will work. right now it's hooked up to the usb cable on my computer, and it has been for the last couple days. i think all this might be because ive been too lazy to click eject before i unhook it a couple of times before, but i dont know.

I've tried toggling the hold button while holding down the menu and select buttons
It seems you are not performing the reset correctly. Don't worry about the hold switch...just press and hold menu and select simultaneously for about 6 seconds until you see the Apple logo appear. If you have an AC adapter, plug the iPod into the wall socket using this and then try the reset.
i think all this might be because ive been too lazy to click eject before i unhook it
Bad idea! You should always eject it properly or you risk corrupting the hard drive...it would be a shame to have to fork out for another iPod just because of laziness!

  • My ipad mini wont turn on and rebooting don't work

As I expected my Ipad to go off it did,but now it wont turn on even though it has the apple sign on it.

And you tried resetting your iPad like this?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
IF you did that and it didn't work, look here and see number 5.

First try a Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
