I'm looking for a portable docking station with a good speaker system. I recently tried the Sony RDP-M5iP and it is not loud enough for my purposes. Any suggestions?

If your criteria is to get the loudest speaker, better try different make and model on the store before you buy one.

Nano Docking station

Hi all, I just received my black 4GB Nano and still have my mini docking station. Does anyone know if I will be able to plug my headphones to the lineout port on the back of the docking station and listen to music AND control the volume with the Nano? Since the headphone plug is at the bottom of the Nano, the only plug for the headset while the Nano is in the dock is the rear line out plug. However I remember with the mini I could not control the volume if I plugged my headphones in the rear of the dicking station since the mini had the plug on the top. I cant test it out since my docking station is at work.

Have discovered that I had not in fact updated the ios!!
Went through the process last night and my ipod now works fine on my docking station.

Syncing Classic with USB killed docking station for my Nano

I have two libraries in Itunes, one for music and one for books. I use my Nano for music. After I organized a second library for books, I bought a Classic. It uses a USB cable. After my first hookup of the Classic, syncing the book library. The firewire docking station for my Nano no longer will connect that Ipod to Itunes. I can charge, but not sync. Is this a new feature from Apple or does Itune now only recognize Ipod thru the USB port? I can sync the Nano with USB, but I like the docking station

I do not think that your USB docking station is faulty. I use it all the time.
What killed my ipods (resulting in exactly your problem) was the update to firmware 1.1.2. I am on my fifth !! ipod classic (courtesy of technical support/ genius bar at the apple store) as they are not as solid as the older models and
may go wrong quicker, despite much more enhanced functions. Touch wood mine is working fine now.
In the mean time, you could try a hard/factory reset of your ipod:

IPod Nano not making good connection with JBL docking station... HELP !!

I have a JBL docking station for my nano. Actually I have 2. One at home & one at work. The problem that I am having is that when I connect my nano to the docking station I must not be getting a good connection because only one side of the speakers plays unless you push on the nano & apply pressure at which time it will then get full "surround sound". I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the nano port because as stated I have 2 identical JBL docking stations and it does it on both of them. Please help !! Docking is the only was I even use my nano and this is driving me nuts...... Suggestions?

Could someone please tell me the correct lead I need for an Applie Ipod 7th Generation 16GB for a Sony docking station. I bought a Lightning to 30 pin adaptor that fits the dock but not the ipod (this was recommended to me by someone from the Apple shop believe it or not). I need one that will fit the ipod and then slot into the 30 pin dock. The dock pulls out and my old ipod (5th Generation) just slotted straight in, but this slot obviously doesn't fit. It would really help if someone can recommend what I need to use or even if there is one that just slots in or whether I need some sort of cable and can't use the docking station. I've had a lock at the Apple store but just keep getting confused about what does what and can't seem to see anything unless I need an additional cable to slot into the 30 pin adapter I already have?

If it is a lightning to 30 pin adaptor, and you have a 7th Generation Nano it has to fit the Nano.

You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be.

Does the 4th gen Nano have an adapter for docking stations? Need help!!!!

It's a dock adaptor. Not sure if it works - but frankly, I am just as annoyed as everyone else about the change in connection. I have the original Bose sound dock and the 4th Generation Nano does not work in it.

Clean any debris from the adapter, docking station connector and the connector on the Nano.

How can I turn off the volume limitor on my ipod nano? I want to play it with a docking station, it is no where near as loud as an old 4GB ipod!

Hello, please can you tell me how to turn off the volume limiotr on my ipod nano? I want to play it on a docking station and it just isn't as loud as I want it to be. An old ipod is much louder.

I tend to select things from left to right and every time I am moving in a downward right diagonal motion during lasso selection I am missing a clear view and I am tending to have a more sloppy selection. All this does is slow me down since I need to go back and hit those areas again. The big arrowhead just get's in the way. The original lasso tool with the thin line and small active point at it's lower left was far better for me.
I don't like turning the cursors to precise because I like to see the active tool icon where my cursor is and as the icon changes as I hold modifier keys down. If I am forced to get comfortable with using pricise cursors I guess I will, but man, I've never had to do this in my 15 years of photoshop use...
I would absolutely LOVE to find a way to get the old lasso icon -- without the arrowhead above it.
Is there any chance this option could be inlcuded in cursor preferences? I'd give much thanks, Adobe.
