I Pod Touch plays music tracks in random order...?

My i-Pod Touch will only play music tracks in random order - permanant shuffle and pressing the "crossed lines" icon does appears to do nothing, other than make it play... in random order! I've factory re-set and re-installed twice and this has made no difference at all. Can any one help or have any suggested fixes?

If you press now playing it will show up with that screen with were the son is at in terms on mins and the play button and all that stuff but just under the time thing there are these little things and one may be orange click that tell the orange is gone that should help if u understand what I'm saying hop that help

I find it intensely irritating in ITunes 11.0.1 that I cannot simply play the tracks in a music album in the same order that the tracks came in when I downloaded the music without having to click on each individual track to play it. As most of my albums are sound tracks, I do not wish to "shuffle" the tracks. I simply want to listen to the tracks in the order they originally came in. Is this asking too much in 11.0.1

Here's a couple things to try:
1. Reset the iPod by holding the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
2. Uninstall and reinstall one of your purchased apps. Sometimes this can rectify the issue.
3. Connect the iPod to iTunes and restore it. New system software usually resolves the issue. Make sure you sync before restoring because a restore removes the data from your iPod.

When adding audio books to ipod either manually or by syncing, the tracks seem to be in the right order but they play back in a random order which means you can't listen to the book. How do you overcome this? (Bill)

I have found the problem myself when I got into the Settings. Somehow it had been put onto shuffle all music files and once I turned that off it reverted to normal. I realised something basic was wrong when our other ipod that had been synced at the same time didn't have a problem. However, I had put all the books on manually, one album at a time as problems occurred when syncing the whole library, including multiple albums for the same piece of music.

Zen Touch classical music tracks and upgrading firmwa

Does anyone know how to back up the pre-installed classical music tracks that are on the Zen Touch? I want to do this so I can upgrade the firware to 'plays for sure' without losing these tracks. Apparently upgrading the firmware to 'plays for sure' will?delete the?tracks. I haven't been able to copy these tracks?to hard dri've/CD or even record them as they are 'protected'. Creative telephone support?are just rude and unhelpful. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help! I will try to follow your advice using the recording facility in creative media source organiser- it will be painstaking but that's not a problem for me if it works. If I connect the Touch headphone socket to the line-in on my PC, will I be able to listen to the tracks through the speakers on my PC as they are?being played/recorded? It would be good if I can do this as I will?then know exactly when to start/stop the recording. Also do you know which recording source I should select (I would guess 'microphone' but maybe 'mixed output')? Thanks again- it's good to get some helpful suggestions for a change!

IPod Touch - playing music & games at same time

I just got a new iPod touch, replacing an iPod classic. On my classic I could play music at the same time as playing games. I don't seem to be able to do this on my new iPod touch. Is there a way to play music and games at the same time?

on most of the apps i have, in the options/settings, you can turn off the sounds and music. your own music will stop when you load up the app, but you can start it again by double clicking the home button, it will bring up the 'in play' music feature, then you can hit play and you're off.

Did she actually sync her music to the iPod? It sounds to me like she is playing music through the Home Sharing feature in iTunes.

Why do my ipod touch play music low?

Everytime i listen to music with out head phones the volume does not get that high. They sound nice when i place it on a dock or with headphones, but not without. Do any one know why they play music low?

It's playing the sound out of a speaker in the iPod. Apple has decided (for several reasons) that the volume from the internal speaker would not be very loud. That way, when you walk past me in the street, you don't have to listen to my choice in music at full blast (and I don't have to listen to yours!).
The internal speaker isn't meant for qualltiy listening.

Can Ipod Touch play music to Airport express like Airtunes of itune ??

I will wan to buy an iPod Touch for portable music player, & I really want it be able to play the music from airport express to my home music system when I come back home.

I had the same problem. I thought there was a problem with the file system and thought I'd have to reset my entire phone. But you had the answer... Thanks! Seems like something Apple could improve - I'm sure I randomly touched that area.

On my old ipod I could set it to play all the songs on an album and they it would randomly select another album and play all the songs on that one then select another album and so on. I cannot see any way to do that on my new ipod touch.

And you are right, at least at this time, you cannot achieve what you are stating with your iPod Touch. There are apps available which can do this for you. Go to the Apps Store and search on "Album Shuffle" and you will see some apps pop up.

My itunes page has been replaced by a small window in the upper left hand corner of the desktop. i can control my music, but cannot access radio, itunes store etc. ie can only play my music in a random order that i cannot control. i am unable to return

i was listening to the radio on i tunes and suddenly the itunes page dissapeared and a small window appeared in the upper left hand side of the desktop. i can control only my music via this window which has a search fwd and back arrow and a play and pause button. there is also a volumn set to full. i can control my music by the volumn control at the top rt of all pages. i want to access the itunes store and the radio, but cannot (can access the itunes store by googleing it.

Well, whenever I put it to sleep, wait for 2 minutes then press a button(This is with the Earphones with MIC plugged in) The music starts playing again!
