I-pod won't update (error -69)

My I-Pod started skipping music and then the controls became very slow to respond.
I've restored the I-pod and updated I-Tunes. The computer recognizes my I-pod when I plug it in through the USB cable.
But when I went to reload my music onto the I-Pod, it only loaded the first CD from my I-Tunes list. When I hit "update" it went a little further, but then I got this error:
"Attempting to copy to the disk "Ipod" failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)."
That's all I can get now when I try to update.
Has my Ipod bit the dust?
Many thanks,
Christy

hi Tom!
while the ipod is connected, go into your itunes "ipod" preferences tab. do you have "Manually manage ..." checked, or one of the "Automatically update ..." options checked?

  • BIOS won't update (Error 1275) on G530 (MT 4446)

G530 (MT 4446) with BIOS v. 1.09 and a fresh installation of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I want to update my BIOS to v. 1.10 in accordance with: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g530/downloads/DS003832 I download the executable file and I ran it as an Administrator. The whole resulting folder has no kind of blockings or reduced rights. I ran the BIOS update utility as an Administrator, wtih no other applications running and I have been keeping getting a Cannot load driver PHLASHNT.SYS Error code: 1275. I have also repeated the process in Safe Mode, and the exact same issue is reproduced. I am aware of https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-B-and-G-Series-Notebooks/G550-BIOS-update-won-t-apply-phlashnt-sys-driver-can-t-be-loaded/ta-p/288278 but it obviously doesn't apply in this case. As always, your help and advice on aforementioned issue will be vastly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

FYI to all the helpful folks here (and any looking to shut their jet engine off as well): Flashing the BIOS did the trick.
First I had to find a website with DOS OS files and put those on the USB instead of Vista.  Oldie but a goodie, but at least it booted! No other versions would.
I had been intending to use the WinPhlash utility that Lenovo supplied with the BIOS update but since I was booting from DOS that was useless. However, I found a DOS version of it and used that instead. Boom baby!  Flashed and rebooted.
It did take two boots to get it back to normal (first one gave very alarming messages about no operating system being found but I think it was just a remnant of the reboot that was triggered from the DOS session).  A second boot returned life to normal and blissful silence from the server.  And I was finally able to get the model and serial number back in there to get rid of the bootup message it throws for that too.
    Ahhhhhhh.
Thanks to all for the hints - I believe I had gotten the idea of flashing the BIOS to solve this from some other thread I found here.  This is a very nice forum to have bookmarked.

  • HT1926 Win 7 64, latest updates. iTunes won't update - error "iTunes has an invalid signature. It will not be installed'. Tried rebooting, nothing seems to work. Due for new phone - am seriously looking at Android.

Any suggestions? IE 9.0.8112.14621IC. Symantec End Point Protection 11.0.5002.3333. Latest MS patches, rebooted, nothing has changed on my computer in months besided the MS patches. This is crazy - spent more time on this already than it's worth.....

I'm searching for an answer to almost the same exact problem, using almost the same exact hardware and software. Has an answer been found?
The files that I'm trying to burn come from eMusic, and they are formatted mp3. Recently, (after the iTunes update to 9.2.3?,) they would not drag and drop from iTunes into Toast. From several different discussions I've tried working around this by dragging to the desktop first then dragging and dropping to Toast, going to Toast from a programmer's homemade help window, " iToons," and today, after talking with Apple support, going directly to Toast from my eMusic folder. Alas, all recordings do not perform like they use to. Sometimes they play and sometimes not. There is one I managed, that is listenable, but sometimes I have to put it in my car stereo over and over again as it gets ejected with an error code, sometimes, finally it takes it... Some of the recordings on other disks I've burned are not clean - they have white-noise sounds creeping in... I use to have none of these problems. One time as I was listening to a CD that managed to play, and it just stopped playing... Is there an answer out there to get back to how it use to be? Thanks for you help.

  • Nokia E63 won't update, error code 12017

I can't update my Nokia E63 using the ovi suite software.
After doing a complete memory wipe, the same error code appears during the update process.
I select update 501.21.001, hit install... but before the download can even begin I get error code 12017.
After googling issue, I see many many people have had this issue.  I have tried all solutions, including installing the Nokia PC Suite, then installing the software update from there.  I have also tried disabling Windows ICS.
Is there any solution to this problem?  Is there some way to manually update the phone's software without using Nokia's software suite?
    Thank you.

    I have exactly same problem.
I can easily update my e71 (both with NSU and Nokia Suite), but can't do it with e63 - error 12017 in Nokia Suite and nothing in NSU (I see "First step" all the time).
I've tried every solution I found on nokia forums, I reinstalled whole software, drivers, turned off ICS, AV, firewall and nothing.
I have nokia suite v3.3.86, NSU 3.0.605 and nokia firmware 200.21.012 (latest is 500.21.009/501.21.001 !!)
    I ran out of options.
    Edit
I only add: I can manage e63 from nokia suite, I succesfuly made a backup of all content. So the phisycall connection works.

    UPDATE:
After trying the renaming of the 1.0 folders in the /library/application support /adobe/AAMUpdater and ~/library/application support /adobe/ AAMUpdater I was still having the same problem.
Then tried downloading the adobe camera raw 9.0 update directly from Adobe Camera Raw 9.0 Update for CC and ran the dmg setup file.  Both photoshop and bridge were updated and when I logged out of CC then logged back in again all of my apps were up to date.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/baddns.php
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/hackedrouter.php
If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

My iphone 5c says connect to itunes. It won't update/restore; error message (27) comes up. I also haven't backed the phone up since last year. HELP.

    Hi there owain11,
It looks like that particular error may be realted to a hardware issue. Take a look at the article below for more information.
Resolve iOS update and restore errors
    Check for hardware issues
    Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer may have a hardware issue that's preventing the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

  • Twitter loads, but won't update and gives Twitter error message, but only in Firefox.

I just installed my operating system (Ubuntu Linux 12.04, KDE desktop) three days ago, and installed Firefox yesterday. When I go to my Twitter feed, I get a bar at the top of the page saying "Sorry! We did something wrong. Please refresh the page and try again." Refreshing doesn't change anything. At the same time, my feed won't update, and scrolling down the page doesn't bring bring up more tweets, just an error message saying:
Loading Tweets seems to be taking a while.
Twitter may be over capacity or experiencing a momentary hiccup. Try again or visit Twitter Status for more information.
This does not happen in Chrome or Rekonq. I've checked all my add-ons, cleared my history, cache and cookies. I don't know what else to do. Help?

What worked for me was to delete all cookies in Firefox, and then log in again to Twitter. Options > Privacy > clear you recent history. Ask it to clear everything and untick all but cookies.
