I-pod wont sync songs

my computer crashed recently and i lost my i-tunes library but when i reinstalled i-tunes it would only copy some songs from my i-pod. i just purchased new songs, and my i-pod will not sync them...HELP?!

Check your iTunes settings or when connecting your ipod to the computer, on the front page where it's about your ipod there should be sync options. and click sync all library . or seleted . which ever one you prefer.

I then notice that still the songs have not been updated and no matter how many times i do this process over and over again it still doesnt change... how can i fix this so i can put new songs on my i-pod?

  • I Pod Wont Sync

I restored my I pod recently and now when it syncs it will get to song 544 out of 606 and then say "The Ipod cannot be synced. The required disc cannot be found." and the sync stops. I then tried to eject the Ipod through both Itunes and Windows and it will not leave the "Do Not Disconnect" screen.
Also the red symbol doesn't flash on the screen, its just a white screen saying do not disconnect, if that helps.
    Thanks

Oh, and I forgot to add, it's not the song because I removed that song from my library and tried again and it stopped on the same song number but a different song

  • IPod shuffle wont sync songs

My shuffle won't sync all the songs from a playlist that I created. But it will sync it from the main music list.
    Why???
I never had this problem before.

The first explanation that comes to mind is that there is something different about the songs that won't sync. They might be in a format that the iPod does not support, or videos, or illegally copied DRM'd tunes, or wonky in some way.
The fact that you can successfully sync other, random, tunes suggests to me that the 'Pod and iTunes are working properly, but there is something about specific songs that is not.

  • My itouch wont sync songs.

  • My itunes wont sync songs from a differenet apple id

My friend put some songs and games on my sons ipod and now when I try to back them up on his itunes, they dont show up.
I assume this is because they are from her itunes account.  She gave me her login/password to use on the itunes to see if that would back them up, but I'm worried this might mess something up.

You need to rip/import songs from CDs into iTunes. I am not sure what you meant by "sync CDs to itunes" but you do not sync CDs with iTunes. Please follow the below steps to transfer mucis from CDs to iPhone 3GS -
If the songs are already transfered in itunes and you can listen to them when the CD is not in the CD drive, you can skip to "Transfering Music to 3GS".
    Importing Songs
    1. Insert the CD into iTunes.
    2. iTunes will show the CD in the left side panel under Devices. It will also try to recognize the CD if connected to the Internet. If it is a commercial CD, then iTunes will recognize the tracks and fill them up. Otherwise, you will get Track 1, Track 2, etc. You can also manually enter the CD data if iTunes fails to do so. Click on the CD Name on the right left side pan and click on Track 1 and select Get Info. Then enter the Title, Artist Album etc. Click on next when done Track 1 and do so for Track 2.
    3. When all information is entered, click on the Import Setting button on the lower right side. Choose either AAC or mp3 encoder. Choose a Setting -  I chosen Custom and the highest possible quality. You need to choose based on available disk space.
    4. then Click Import. iTunes will import the songs in his library.
    Transfering Music to 3GS
    5. Then attach your 3GS to the computer using the USB cable. the 3GS will be shown in the devices section. Click on it and choose Music from the menu on the top section. Make sure Sync Music is checked. Now check the songs/artists you like to transfer to your 3GS.
    6. Click Sync.
And that's it. Your songs will be transfered to your iPhone 3GS.
It's a long post but frankly, the steps are very intutive and natural.

  • My phone wont sync songs

I recently bought a Mac. I transferred all my old iTunes songs onto a hard drive & moved them to my Mac. I bought more songs on the Mac. When I plugged my iPhone in to sync it didn't work. How do I get the new songs onto my phone? I just downloaded and installed all updates needed....

Did you deauthorize your old mac? You need to authorize your new mac. iTunes allows for 5 "authorized" computers. See below on how to authorize:

"what do you mean by ipod won't play music from itunes Music Store"
Personally I don't mean anything by it, it's the title of a troubleshooting article. If you click on the blue wording you'll find that it's a link that will take you to the page in question where you can read some possible solutions.
"when i try to install new updates computer tells me session time out what am i doing wrong"
What updates are you referring to, iPod updates? Have a look at this page it may be of some help: iTunes 7 for Windows: iTunes could not contact the iPod software update server

  • IPhone 4s wont sync songs in iTunes

Ok, so I've been having trouble with this for a few months now.  I've just been dealing with it, but I think it has just gotten out of hand.  I've been waiting for a possible update to fix the issue, but it's just not happening.
I have a 32gig iPhone 4s, and it simply will not sync music from my iTunes.  I have plenty of space on the iPhone.  I am running the latest iTunes version and iOS version.  Songs purchased in the iTunes store will sync just fine, but any .mp3 I have added to my library will simply not sync.  Goes through the whole process, backup and all, and then will just not add the song.
I have restored my phone numerous times.  I have used Phone Cleaner Pro 3.  I have used iFunBox to delete the iTunes_Control folder and Purchases folder and resynced.  Whenever I restore my phone and resync, I will get all my songs loaded on there.  However, any sync afterwards doesn't work.  It is getting increasingly frustrating knowing that I have to restore my phone every time I wish to add new songs.
Does anyone know of a solid fix for this issue?

As a note, I have also checked and unchecked "manually manage music" and it doesn't work.

  • Ipod Touch Wont Sync Songs

    Good Morning,
I added some new mixtapes to my itunes library and when I plugged in my ipod to my mac to add them to it, they wouldnt add. I just got these bloody dotted circles and the songs appear greyed out when looking at them on itunes. My manually manage music box was checked and sync this ipod over wifi was not checked. I uncheck the manually manage music box and all the songs on my ipod are now the blood frigging circle.
So I decided to reset the ipod. I did. and I added the songs again, and now same problem. Only around 30 songs out of my 5000 are synced, the rest have the grey ring of neutrality. Any help resolving this would be extraordinary.
