I pre ordered an album, it says I purchased it and it's still not downloading

I recently pre ordered an album, it says I purchased it but still won't download, I don't know why this is happening and it's aggravating. Somebody please help me

When you pre order an album you don't get the album until it's released to the masses. Look at the album and iTunes it should say when you can download the album with it's release. I hate giving bad news but at least nothings wrong with your account

Tried to pre-order an album but not working. Please help!!!

I tried to pre-order an album. It was one that came with a song that downloaded immedietly. I clicked pre-order and it said some error and to try again. I went to and realized I was charged for that one song that you can get first. So i thought it went ahead and pre-ordered the album anyway. I looked in my purchased history and saw nothing about the album or that one song, so it charged me for nothing! Any ideas how i can fix this?

I couldn't find an answer so i just emailed iTunes support and they fixed it for me. Thanks anyway!!!!

The article below explains how the pre-order process works. If the item does not automatically downlowd to your iTunes Music library, and you are unable to download the purchased content, I've included a link to contact the iTunes Store Support team as well.

You can pre-order music and movies from the iTunes Store prior to their public release date. Pre-ordered items will download when they become available.
If an item isn't yet available, you may be able to pre-order it and download it when it becomes available. Items available for pre-order will have an orange pre-order button that displays the pre-order price. Most pre-orders will show an expected release date near or below the pre-order button. When the pre-order item becomes available, your account will be billed for the pre-order, and the item will appear in the Purchased section of your account. If there is a billing issue that prevents us from billing your account when the item is released, you'll receive an email notifying you that the item is available. You need to click the link within the email, using a computer and the latest version of iTunes, to fulfill the pre-order. You may also receive one or more emails if the status of your pre-order changes.
Some pre-orders include songs that are available for download immediately. When you pre-order, you will be charged only for these songs and you will receive them immediately.To pre-order an item

Check in your iTunes folder on your computer to find the files. If they are there, then drag on top of iTunes to import them in. If they are not there, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

I pre-ordered an album last november, and now it's finally avalible. On my Ipod, it says purchased, but there is no option for me to download the album. I also tried on my PC, and it still says purchased, but I cannot download the songs! Please help

Typically with pre-orders you should have received an email to download your tracks. If you have not received it, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

I pre ordered an album maybe a month ago, and it just came out today. They released some of the songs before hand and I have all 5 of those on my phone. But today when the whole album was released it didn't download to my phone. I went and checked the ITunes store and it said i never bought it even though it did. HELP ME!!

About a week ago,I pre-ordered Prism by Katy Perry on my IPod and she had already released Roar and Dark Horse, which downloaded. But yesterday at midnight, Walking on Air. And this morning I tried to download it, it said purchased, but I couldn't download it.

HT201272 I pre-ordered an album, but only 2 of the songs from that album are showing up to download. What do I need to do to get the rest of the album that I already bought?

Not sure what is going on here. I pre-ordered an album. One of the songs was available for instant download so I have that in my library now. I received an email saying that the rest of the album is available for download. When I go into my purchased songs as instructed, it only shows 2 other songs from that album. Not sure what I need to do.

Depending on your settings, the songs may already have been downloaded to your iTunes library.

I think that you can only do it from your computer's iTunes

Pre-order items from the iTunes Store
