I pre-ordered two versions of the same album on ITunes! How to stop?

So a few minutes ago I accidently preordered 2 versions of the same album on Itunes on my dell laptop! I want to cancel one, but i dont know how! It told me that you pay for it when it is realsed in November so I have not payed yet for either.

Select all the songs from the album, choose File--> Get Info, then under the Album area, type in the appropriate album title.  They should all appear under one album at that point.

I downloaded two versions of the same album, one staight after the other, I've been charged for both, can I get one removed and a refund?

    Carol,
William Lloyd said it all, but perhaps Kirby Krieger's User Tip will explain a bit more the different uses of albums and projects:
                       The Well-Trod Path: a Beginner's Guide to how Aperture's major parts inter-relate
Then I imported into Aperature, created new versions, one for each snapshot, then cropped each snapshot, so each snapshot is seperate in Aperature.
You want to find each snapshot separately in Aperture? Perhaps you could explain more, how you want to organize your photos. William pointed out albums to group versions of an image. You could also assign keywords to mark special occasions like birthdays, weddings, etc.  You could assign faces to find photos of persons by name. You can use the search field in the browser to search for photos by face, date, keyword, etc.  Aperture is really great for accessing images in many different ways. There must be a way to access the images in your Aperture library just like you want to.
Then, I tried to organize the ton of photos into projects and it won't let multiple versions of the same original photo be in separate projects.
That is, how Aperture works. All versions of an image need to be in the same project, because they are sharing the same imported original image file. Aperture tries to save your disk space, by by not creating image files for the edited versions. Versions are just a set of instructions how to produce the rendered image, when you want to edit it or to export it. Unless you are working with the version, it will live in limbo and it will not exist as an image file. So all versions are kept together in the same project with the original image file that is necessary to render them as an image.

  • Itunes two versions of the same album?

    Hello,
I have two versions, high res audio and CD quality, of the same album of an artist located in two folders "Album Title" and "Album Title HD".
By adding the two folders to the iTunes mediathek, all tracks are merged under "Album Title" in iTunes. Do I have to manipulate the meta data to avoid this behavior in iTunes? Interestingly the views on the Mac and via iOS Remote App are different:
    Mac:
    Track 1
    Track 1 HD
    Track 2
    Track 2 HD
    etc.
    Rmote App:
    Track 1
    Track 2
    Track Last
    Track 1 HD
    Track 2 HD
I disabled the automatic handling option for iTunes import. So still two folders in the iTunes music folder exist.
    Any ideas?
    Andreas

If you want them to appear as separate albums you will have to change the metadata for one of the albums.  There are many ways to do this and which one you use will depends upon your preferences.
You can make it obvious by doing something such as adding a descriptor to the album name e.g., Album Name [CD quality]
You can "hide".  If you do not normally use the album artist field and you add an album artist to that field for one of the versions it will cause that to sort separately.  Similarly if you add a number to the disc number field that should normally get it to display separately.
Alternatively you can come up with a smart playlist to sort according to kind.

  • When I OCR two versions of the same document and then compare th documents in Acrobat Pro XI, I usually get the message that there are no changes to mark.  However, I know there a quite a few number of changes.  I raised this question more than a year ago

When I OCR two versions of the same document and then compare the documents in Acrobat Pro XI, I usually get the message that there are no changes to mark.  However, I know there a quite a few number of changes.  I raised this question more than a year ago, and the response I received had to do with the quality of the OCR and the scans of the documents.  However, if I use Acrobat Pro XI to save the same documents in Word and then run a comparison in Word all of the changes are marked.  When a PDF is saved as a Word document in Acrobat Pro XI, is a different OCR module being used than the one used in Acrobat Pro XI for text recognition?

OCR is only for recoginition of the image / picture of text provided by an scanner.
Content typed into a Word file which is converted to a PDF is (in Word and in PDF) *not* an image  or picture of text - it is the digital text. So, no OCR involved.
When the "digital" (renderable) text of a PDF's page content is exported to Word no OCR is involved.
When a PDF's content is from the image output of a scanner and this is a picture of text then OCR comes into play.
If this content is exported to Word before doing OCR then it is the image that is exported to the Word file.
Once OCR is performed it is the OCR output that is exported.
OCR output is (always will be) impacted by "the quality of the OCR and the scans of the documents".
Regardless "Compare" is based on a Word file output to PDF1 then edits to the Word file followed by an output to PDF2. You use Acrobat Pro to do a compare of PDF1 & PDF2.
Paper 1 scanned to image 1 to image 1 in PDF1 that gets OCR 1 and
Paper 2 scanned to image 2 to image 2 in PDF2 that gets OCR 2
being processed with Acrobat Pro's Compare can certainly be done.
But - well you've described what can be observed.
    Be well...

  • How can I open two libraries at the same time on itunes?

Hey i need help on opening two libraries at the same time on itunes. I don't know if that is possible but need some advice if its possible. I already have several libaries but I need to compare labaries at times due to various users on my computer. Please help .

Not that I'm aware of. What exactly is that you want to achieve? There are tools for scanning media folders and adding any files not listed in the library, or deleting those that no longer exist. There are also ways to use one library for multiple users so that any tag update gets applied for everyone.

  • ITune has created several folders for the same album title.  How do I consolidate those folders into 1?

iTune has created several folders for the same album title.  How do I consolidate those folders into 1 without consolidating all albums?

I don't think you want to combine all of the HTML into one file. That doesn't make too much senese. If you wanted to, then just copy everything from all 3 files between <body></body> and paste into one html file between <body></body>. I think what you're trying to do is create seperate static pages. I would read/youtube how to setup a blogger website. • Can I have two versions of the same original live in separate projects?

I am not an Aperature or photography expert.
I scanned in a ton of old family photos with multiple snaphots on a page and in a single file. Then I imported into Aperature, created new versions, one for each snapshot, then cropped each snapshot, so each snapshot is seperate in Aperature. (I could have learned Spanish with all the time that this took.)
Then, I tried to organize the ton of photos into projects and it won't let multiple versions of the same original photo be in separate projects. I found a way to change the filenames through Batch Change, but that didn't fix the problem.
I would like to organize the ton of files, but from what I can tell my only option would be to go back to the scanned files, make copies from Finder as needed, once for each snapshot, reimport into Aperature and recrop each individual snapshot.
Oh my, I have kids and a job and a husband and I like to sleep at night. Is there any easier way to organize the photos?
    Thank you for your time.

  • Can two bands use the same name on iTunes?

Hi, I'm in a band that uses the same name as another band listed on iTunes.
Can two bands with the same name be listed on iTunes? We hope to eventually have an album for sale on the site and I'd like to know now if it's going to be a problem.

Of course it will be a problem. You simply can not have two bands with the same name. I can think of MANY bands that had to change their names (either completely or just for certain countries) because the name was already taken. Blink (Blink-182), Bush (Bush X), The Beat (The English Beat), Yazoo (Yaz), and the list goes on and on.
Your band better start brain storming for a new or modified name.

  • Can I backup two iPhones to the same laptop and iTunes account?

Is it possible to backup and sync an iPhone 4 and an iPhone 3Gs to the same laptop and iTunes account?  My wife and I both have iPhones.  Her laptop just crashed, so we only have one laptop to use as a back up / sync now.

Yes, iTunes will maintain separate backups for each device. Note, however, ALL iTunes content, presently on your wife's phone will be erased when you first sync it to your computer. So, you need to get all of that content into your iTunes library first. Read here about your choices for managing multiple devices on one computer:

  • Unable to merge the same albums in Itunes

I have put a bunch of music on Itunes but some of the albums are duplicated because the artist may have a song featuring another artist. Itunes separates these as two albums with the same name and artwork. So when I view my music I can have two or three of the same album but two of the three will only have one song because it is the original artist featuring another. I there any way I can merge these albums to give me only the one?

Mark these as compilation albums in the Get Info feature. You can highlight a set of files at one time and do them all in one go.

  • Hi, iTunes 11.1 don't tell me the duration of two or more tracks from the same album, which iTunes 10. did. How come? It is possible that the new version lacks such a possibility? Thanks

Hi, thanks to whoever will be able to respond - which the Apple assistance on line in Italy could not do, after minutes of conversation!
The point is that I cannot see anymore the total duration of two or more audio tracks selected from the same CD, but only the duration of the whole CD.
With the previous version of iTunes this was very easy, as I simply clicked on the tracks the interested me and I suddenly had the total time.
It makes no sense that Apple provides a new version which lacks one of the endless options of the program, therefore I hope it's only my faul in not being able to understand what to do. Otherwise, please tell me how can I downgrade and go back to iTunes 10....

  • Managing both Lossless and MP3/AAC versions of the same album

I've recently decided to keep a lossless version of some albums along with their mp3/aac counterparts. I would want to use the lossless version on my Apple TV to which I have a nice audio setup. I would use the mp3/aac version to go to my ipods (touch & nano). I was thinking of just keeping two playlists and selectively syncing to the appropriate device But will there be any collisions since the tags on the lossless and mp3/aac tracks will me the same (same album, same song, etc.) Do I have to modify any of these so they dont conflict? Thanks for your advice in advance!

Thanks for the info. But it looks kinda messy. And you have to have the ipods manually managed. I'm thinking it would be easier to change the album title to "title MP3" to distinguish it from the lossless copy instead of doing all this encoding work. I was hoping there would be a cleaner way to do it.
