I preferred the icons before iOS 7.0.4

The icons on the iOS 7.0.4 seem like a de-volution.
Before they had depth and 3D effect, now they are flat with cartoon colors.
Why Apple ? Why did you do that?

I haven't seen any mention of adding the text feature to photos, but Apple is always tight lipped on new features. Try a photo editor app like the one below.

My imac was running snow leopard and was upgraded to Mt. Lion. My Microsoft Office for Mac now will not open. SO since my Office was 2004, I just purchased Office for Mac 2011. Do I delete the icons before loading Office 2011 OR after I load 2011?

Upgraded my Imac to Mt. Lion and now the Microsoft Office icons will not open WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, or ENTOURAGE. I just pruchased on Ebay

Office 2011 will install in a separate folder. But do not install Office 2011 until you remove Office 2004. It comes with its own uninstalled located in the MS Office folder. Only use the uninstaller to get rid of it. Then install Office 2011.
Office 2004 and Other Applications Don't Work in Lion/Mountain Lion
If you have Office 2004 which is a PPC-only suite, it will not work in Lion/Mountain Lion. You need to upgrade to Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion/Mountain Lion.

Each can open and save Office compatible files. They may be purchased separately via the Mac App Store for $19.99 each.
As for other software, any PPC-based software will not run in Lion or Mountain Lion because Rosetta is no longer part of OS X. You will need to upgrade to Intel versions of the software.
(Access to the Mac App Store requires Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or higher and an Apple ID.)

iOS doesn't have "themes". You can make some changes to the look of iOS 7 in Settings>General>Accessibility. You can change contrast, font size and boldness. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "matt (matte?) interface around the icons". Perhaps if you could explain a little more?

Sorry you are having problems.
A clean reinstall will not remove bookmarks unless you take options to remove data or deliberately remove your profile.
You may and it could be prudent to back up your Firefox profile before doing the reinstall. At least look for and backup the data base file places.sqlite . Try Firefox's safe mode; for instance by holding shift key when you click the icon, before considering reinstalling.

When I lifted my opened my laptop, there was an icon at the bottom center. The symbol was similar to a half of a sun upside-down and it was crossed out. Since I've never seen the icon before, I don't know what it means or if it's affecting anything.

Anyone else notice the icons bug in iOS 5.0.1?

Hi,
I can't find anything about a bug in the new iOS 5.0.1 for the home screen icons and hoping to hear back on some workaround or new function(s)... I have a iPhone 4, CDMA.
It's happens when I want to arrange my icons on home screens. So I hold down the icon and it begins to "shake" to move them around or "x" them, but when I go to "set" the arrangement, I push the home button (like before in iOS 5.0 and older) and it's completely unresponsive. I have to now push the "sleep" button on the top of the phone. I tried pushing it twice, three times to see if that was the new command but it just brings up the spotlight search function.
Seems to me to be too buggy and inconvenient to need to push the sleep button each time to exit the shaking icons... Any advice on this?

Which RESET should work, without using the "Reset All Settings", "Erase All Content and Settings" or "Reset Home Screen Layout" options?
I did already completed the "Erase All Content and Settings" trying to fix something else with the phone and restored it from a back up. Now could that be the culprit of this bug and not an iOS 5.0.1 bug?

I just updated to iOS 7 on my iphone 4 and now my iTunes Store doesn't work. The App Store works fine, but the iTunes comes up blank whenever I touch the icons. It doesn't even seem like it loads at all. Can anyone help?

I just recently updated the software on my ihpone 4 to the iOS 7 and now my iTunes Store does not work. All of my other apps work perfectly fine except iTunes. Whenever I open the app, the icons for music and movies and tv shows come up, but when I touch them, nothing happens. The screen is just blank. And I already tried updating again, updating iTunes on my computer, turning my iphone off and on, and resetting my ihpone, and nothing works. Can anyone help?

I searched this site for ios 7 and itunes store and found numerous others with the same problem, and several suggested solutions. One said that they had blocked all cookies and that was apparently the problem. I had done the same thing - blocked all cookies. So I set cookies back to "third parties and advertisers" and that solved the problem. Now the itunes store is working.

I just encountered this problem for the first time and stumbled upon this forum to find a solution. I played around with it a bit and it seems that if you slide your finger from the bottom up, you will come upon that new screen that will allow you to do various functions with your phone (put it in airport mode, lock, etc.), you can select your Airport from this screen and play your music wirelessly from your phone; at least this was my experience. You can move apps around in iOS 7 the same as iOS 6. Press an app icon until you see it wiggle; then drag it to where ever you want it to be. Drag it onto another app to create a folder with the two apps. Tap the Home button to stop the wiggle.

I bought a Sandisk Connect Media Drive, downloaded the app from iTunes. Before iOS 8, movies played fine. After iOS upgrade I can no longer play movies downloaded from iTunes to the media drive. Anyone else have a similar issue?

I checked with SanDisk's own online support and they indicate that they have notified Apple of the issue.
According to SanDisk, the problem lies with Apple not having the iOS 8 version of the Safari browser having DRM decoding enabled that the Media Drive relies upon to decode and play iTunes DRM titles. Non DRM encoded videos will play in the browser.
DRM audio is not effected as this is handled by the native iOS music app.
As of the date of this post SanDisk have not been given a timeframe by Apple for this issue to be resolved.
I hope that Apple resolves this issue quickly as I have a large collection of DRM video titles on a 128Mb memory card installed in the Media Drive that I am unable to view.

Apps are in iTunes, are not part of the backup and when you updated the phone, you need to sync that content back.

Sync your iPhone to iTunes, and see if that does the trick. Also you could try a Soft Reset with no Risk to Data. Holding down both the Sleep button and the Home button until the Apple logo appears and then waiting for the Reset to bring you iPhone back to the lock screen. Are you trying to add the email at Settings>Messages>Send and Receive from (2 Addresses) your iPhone number and your email address?
