I assume these are POP accounts and all computers are set to remove from Server after downloading.
So on the non dominant ones... Mail Preferences>Accounts, highlight an account, Advanced tab, uncheck remove from Server, just have the main dominant one remove from server.
Or get/setup IMAP accounts.

You cannot change your Apple ID. You can get a new one if you want, but all of your Apps and media are linked to yoru old Apple ID. And no, Apple won't transfer your old ID purchases to yoru new ID.

I would guess the fan is the cause of the noise. Suggest you take a look at it.

I have the MacIntosh volume and the Boot Camp partition only. I know that when I installed Lion, I had to go through a whole back-up and recovery of Windows and then re-format the drive.
The tech at the Apple Store had a previous life as a MSCE and was very helpful. I believe he even said that I should not have htis problem with Mountain Lion which is why they gave me the flash with it onboard. I was in the process of starting a new job when I went to Lion, so I have waited to do this next and probably last upgrade to this old MBP since I doubt Apple will support this MBP in Maverick.
I do not have another installation, so that is not an option. I will try to create an external, I have plenty of hard drives around and see if I can get it done that way. It might take me a week or two to get back to it, but I will comment back upon completion of that effort. Thanks for your help....Dave Iverson

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? When I first signed up with iCloud (and still had Mobile Me), my contacts all double or tripled, or more in my contact list. When I went with Lion and fully integrated iCloud, that issue resolved itself. I got a new iPhone yesterday, and when it was up and running, everything was fine. This morning, I notice that my contacts are all duplicated again. My personal contact is in my phone 10 times. How do I resolve this? My iTunes sync setting does not have me syning my contacts, it should just be in iCloud. Thanks for any help.

You may want to do a Restore on the shuffle in iTunes. The Restore button is on the shuffle's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the shuffle, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. If it's a software or data corruption glitch, the Restore should fix it. After the Restore, reload or resync your songs, and try it again. As a test, you may want to initially select a small number of songs to put back on the shuffle.

For one thing, true call blocking (ie. where the call NEVER actually connects through to your number) can only be done by the service provider at their switches.
The best a device can do is allow the call to connect, and then use the caller ID information to compare that to a list of allowed and a list of disallowed caller IDs. That is a feature known as blacklisting, but it is not the same as actually blocking a call completely.
So as suggested, contact your carrier and ask what they can do for you.
