Alright, so I needed to buy a book because we are reading it in school. It's called Holes. So I did, so we purchased it and everything. I got an email saying :The following information for your Apple ID -emailadress- was updated on 10/15/2012.

Open iBooks. Click the "Store" button in the upper right. Then click "Purchased" in the lower right.
Is the book there?

As in purchased it 4 minutes ago, or 4 years ago? The new versions of iTunes are always very reliable at having songs show up in the main library display window when an item is added. Does your song appear in Recently Added? Have you checked your media folders to see if the song is actually on your computer but it is just iTunes that is having conniptions?

Did you purchase it from the iTunes Store or did you do the purchase from the App Store on the iPad?
Go to Search, and type in Pages, if nothing shows your iPad hasn't downloaded it.
Tap on App Store > Updates > Purchases, any sign of installation in progress? It is reasonably large so may take a while.

Me too. I have downloaded it numerous time to my iphone and sync from my mac. It is not on the phone even when selecting the music app and using the more choice. Audio books is not even a choice.

I believe you mean to say that you wish to switch which country's iTunes Store you are accessing. Go to iTunes Store > Change Country (all the way at the bottom) to do this. You'll have to use up all of your iTunes balance to do this. Post back if this is not what you wanted to do.

You should be able to delete the book via the Edit button at the top right of the bookshelf and then re-download via the Store button at the top left and then the Purchased tab. If it re-downloads in the state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that book and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

You can download your file by logging in to your account at cloud.acrobat.com and clicking the Files tab. Find your file, and select it. Then, click the Download File icon at the top of the window (looks like an in-box with a down arrow). Your file will download to the Downloads folder on your computer.

Hi, I've purchased a few films from itunes (and they are listed as Purchased in my account), but I can't find them on my computer or my itunes account, and itunes wants me to pay for them again. How do I get around this? I've tried all the suggestions, and it's hugely frustrating.
If you are in the UK, and the film studio allows re-downloading, and you are signed in with the same account that you bought them with, then they might show under the Purchased link under Quinklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page for re-downloading - if they don't show then check to see if they are hidden (hiding and unhiding).
But you should be keeping and maintaining your own backup of your downloads and noy rely on being able to re-download any item as they are occasionally removed from the store by the content provider (film studio, tv company, record company etc). -

Is your "home computer" the same as your laptop or are these two different machines?

I can't find the "Authorize your computer" in the Itunes Store. I can't download my old purchases because it tells me I have to authorize the computer, but I can't find it anywhere!! I can enter my account and deauthorize the old computers, which I did, but nothing happens. I can't find the "Advanced" option anywhere either.

Absolutely. A proxy can prevent the software from downloading and installing.
I realize you have already purchased Lion from the App Store but a workaround in your case would be the thumb drive.
