I purchased a book on amazon to download to iPad - download keeps coming up as error

i purchased a book on amazon from computer to be downloaded on ipad - cannot download to ipad - keeps coming up with error.  i recently purchased
a new mac book with the new operating system - could there be a problem with that?

How are you trying to download it, and what's the error ? If you want to read it on your iPad then you either need to download the Kindle from the app store and download the book directly in the app, or use their cloud reader (and create a homescreen shortcut for it and download the book directly in it) http://read.amazon.com - you can't download a Kindle book from the Amazon website in Safari.

I purchased a book on Amazon and clicked it onto kindlecloud because I didn't see an ipad option.  How do I get my book to my kindle app?

Log into Amazon.com again. Click or tap on Your Account at the top and sign in. Then go down to Digital Content and click or tap on Manage Your Kindle under the Digital Management heading. That will take you to a screen where all of your Purchased Kindle books are listed. Tap on the Actions Button on the right next to the book that you want to download and select - Deliver to my - and then select - Your iPad Name -  in that pop up window. The book will be delivered to the Kindle app.
You have to allow the book to sync to the app. It can a minute or so. Tap on Device in the Kindle app and the book should be there.

Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

    Try what Google threw out:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar and delete your email account.
Then tap Settings > Safari > and Tap Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.
Now tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar and re-enter your email account details.

When I try to download updates for programmes like pages and imovie my moacbook keeps coming up with error 20 and asks me to try again later. Is there a way to solve this problem?

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps...  Sign Out of your Acount... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • HT4059 I purchased a book that will not download (says it will download, completes and then then says it needs to download,  then repeats)

So i bought a book in ibooks. It has been paid for and everything (the money has been taken out of my bank account). Yet when i try to download it, a cloud with an arrow comes up. It says 'when the item is finished..etc' but only thing is it has finished, it isnt downlaoding anymore. I keep pressing it and the same thing happens, when i try to re-downlaod the book, sometimes it asks me to pay for it again, other times the cloud arrow comes up and regardless the same process happens.
    Ideas??

I am having the same issue.
I bought a book through Ibooks on my ipad.  Received the message "book is downloading.  when download is complete book will be in library".  The book never showed on my library shelf.  Repeated attempts to buy and download the book leads to the same error message.  I attempted a different book to buy and download and received the same message on that.  Powered Ipad down and then powered back up, and tried again to download but again the same message. Went to my Mac, accessed Itunes, the book wasn't there.  I tried to download the book to Itunes and received the same message.  Should I try deleting the Ibooks app on my ipad and reinstalling it?  Would that delete all my 350 book purchases or would they remain on Itunes where I could then transfer books back onto  my IPad when the issue was resolved?

  • I purchased a book but its not downloading and i've already been charged

I've purchased a book from ibooks and a message came back that my information is invalid, so i try it again and it happens again. I figured its my bank account, so i go check and its fine; the money is there. and the records shows that the money has been taken out TWICE!! I need to know whats going on??

When you make purchases in iTunes, it will and can take up to 24 hours to refresh on your end. So if you have made purchases before this and if you do not know how to keep track of your own purchases, you may have had less money in there, but did not refresh on your account for you to see accurately. so no, iTunes did not rob you, you just don't know how to manage your money, and probably didn't have enough store credit in your account to cover the purchase, so iTunes took the rest of your store credit and paid the rest on your card, and your bank declined the purchase causing the account to have an unpaid order on it.
To view your purchase history go here: See your purchase history in the iTunes Store
You will see there the unpaid order. In order to pay it, you'll have to use an alternative credit card or purchase more iTunes store credit. Hope this helps.

  • Downloads keeps failing with "An Error has Occurred"

    Happy New Year All
New to the Apple Mac World having switched from Windows.  I've just bought a new Macbook Pro and when I go into the App store to purchase, the installations seem to be very temperamental.
I've been to install twitter, along with updating iWorks - with Numbers and Pages failing to install/update at the beginning.
I was finally managed to install pages, but uninstalling and then installing.
With numbers, it did install but kept saying I needed to update, so I did the same and uninstalled but now it just keeps telling me and error occurred please try again in the purchases page, but same problems occurs.  Each time I try  installing again, I notice that the download is always pulling a previous download from somewhere (cache??)  and seems to always fail at the last bit.
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?  Ordered Mac Online and slight peeved that its not working... which is not what I would associate to Apple.

I believe I have found the issue.
Our portlets are being accessed over WSRP. Both consumer and producer portals are BEA 8.1 SP6. The problem was that the HTTPS call back to the producer timed out on the consumer so it was the consumer portal that hijacked the response to the producer request.
In the consumer's WEB-INF/wsrp-producer-registry.xml file, there is the element "connection-timeout-msecs". The default is 60000 ms. When I switched that to a larger time (say 999999 ms), I did not see the problem.

  • Podcast downloads: keeps giving the message Error 9006

I have a problem downloading a podcast. It keeps giving me the error message 9006. I contacted Apple by email and the information they gave me was:" It means the TCP connection was closed unexpectedly. These closings, or time outs can happen for a variety of reasons." This however doesn't resolve my problem. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jim

I have the same problem. It appears to be a connection issue with my ISP. They said they have some faulty equipment which is causing excessive line noise and interfering with my downloads. Yours might be a similar problem.

  • HT204088 I have reset mt iPad3 and lost my iBooks, books it keeps coming up with error how can I get them back without paying again

    Help anyone please

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic book (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iBook store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iBook store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iBook store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen after you tap the store button in the top corner of the iBook app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

    Help!!!!!!

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
