After purchasing then download stopped midway thru and froze, can't get it to start again or cancel. What should I do. Thanks

I thought So too but then I went to Itunes Library and try and buy a single song from an album for $1.29. Now my Itunes Gift card balance is $ 7.10 as I mentioned earlier. it still did not let me buy and kept trying billing my Visa card.
Should I restart my PC and Itunes and retry. What do you suggest?

Purchased two books from IBooks store, no pictures.

I purchased two books from IBooks store (both $12.99). "A Company of Heroes" is one. The books are excellent but do not contain any pictures that the hardcover editions have in my local bookstore. I could have bought the print versions for around $15.00, now I feel it was a waste of $$. It's apparently quite difficult in the current ePub specification to do layouts that combine images and text. The Winnie-the-Pooh book is frequently held up as a very hand-crafted example not easy to duplicate. Supposedly the publishers and other concerned parties are working on updating the specification to address some of ePub's shortcomings, but what might come of that and when is difficult to estimate.

I have multiple phantom books in ibooks on my iPad.They are no longer on my mac, but continue to show up as multiple ghost- unfinished downloads on iPad

I have multiple copies of phantom books in ibooks on my ipad. By phantom I mean, that they appear to be partially downloaded. They will not resume downloading or allow deletion. None of these books are on my mac, they have been deleted. These are books were not purched from the apple store, they are simply book files that I had on my mac. Any ideas on how to rid myself of these pesky epub and pdf files? Thanks Dan

Try deleting iBooks app from your iPad and then download the app again to remove any previous books that were downloaded or attempted to download. Then just download your books purchased again.

What happens when you try? More info would be helpful. In any case, the first thing to try is a reset, cures 99% of glitches. Hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

If the book won't open then try deleting it from the bookshelf and re-download it via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app and see if you can open that.

The cloud icon means that they are only in the cloud, they aren't currently stored on your iPad, so there isn't anything to delete. You can turn off the showing of the books that are in the cloud via Settings > iBooks > Show All Purchases 'off'

I recently purchased a book that im pretty stoked about. but when i open it in ibooks i get ( incorrectly formatted or not formatted for ibooks to recognize) the file is an .epub so i dont see how it could be a format issue.. I tried emailing apple but because of the situation they want me to call. I have very limited telecomminications at my location .. somebody please help

Before asking for a refund, also try deleting the book and redownloading it.
If you find that the iBookstore is does not meet your needs, you can try one of the others like Kindle, Nook, Kobo, Googlebooks, or Sony.

I recently encountered problems downloading and shopping for books at ibooks. I am able to download samples of books, but when I attempt to purchase them, I am unable to. I've rechecked my apple account information, and the credit card I'm using is up to date and listed. More recently, when I visit the ibooks store, no book titles are visible. Any suggestions?
