Go to sounds in system pref and select outputs. When the hdmi cable is plug into the tv it will show as an option under output. Just select that option.

You need a CONVERTER, not ADAPTER The setup:

Laptop (VGA) ---- Converter from VGA to HDMI ------ TV
You also need sound, you can buy a converter with sound OR connect sound directly from laptop to TV.

• In TimeLine set In and Out-Points to the full Movie/Project
• Select ALL - Clips and Audio
• Go up to Sequence and down to Render Only - down to Mix Down Audio
• then Sequense and Render Selected - Both (Video and Audio)
• then Export and as QuickTime .mov (NOTHING ELSE)
• I use to do - Not Self-Contained as it saves both time and space
Your Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard Disk - Needs lot's of free space to work OK - I never go under 25Gb free space on this one,

Your description of the issue is not clear:
What format, bit depth and color was your original file "from the net"? It sounds like it was a Color Indexed GIF, which would cause what you are describing.
In the Macintosh Finder, select said "net image" and do a Get Info on it (Command+i). When the Info box appears in the Finder, take a screen shot and upload it here by using the little camera icon in the Reply Editor in the forum's web interface.
If the image is a 256-color GIF, remember the rule: GIGO = garbage in, garbage out.

Did you place the image as a Smart Object? Liquify got Smart-capabilities with Photoshop CC.

I have a HP Pavillion dv6000 running Windows Vista. Itunes is up to date. I have power cycled the router several times it is a Surfboard sbg6580. still no luck with seeing the airplay symbol on itunes, but Isee it on my phone and can stream music via the airport with my phone. Thanks...I just spent an hour on the phone with Apple Support sorting out the password issues for my various devices!!! My password was compliant with the new rules, but there were some (mysterious) setting issues that required me to delete mail from my MacBookPro and add it back, again. All in all, it was an hour of trouble-shooting which resulted in what, I hope, is a good fix.

Make sure you are signed into the iCloud ID you are using on the iPod when you attempt to locate it, and that it has a good wifi connection. If these are correct and you are and it still says it's offline, turn Find My iPod off on it, then after a minute or so turn it back on. Then see if you can locate it.
