Thank-you so much!! I kept going to the Itune icon, didn't even notice the music one, duh. Listening to my Neil Young song now and it sounds great too. I have a follow up question please. Shouldn't I see this when I go to Itunes on my Sony Vaio and click on >Library>Music? I thought it would be available to play on my laptop too (you don't have to buy the song for each device?) When I go to my Media Player on Windows, it shows the Itunes under my library but no song that I got through my new Iphone. I'm thinking I need to sync it or look into what the ICloud is all about?
It's not a hugh deal, but sure would like to know or maybe you could refer something in the manual (I did look, but didn't see this addressed). Anyway, you got my song to work!! Thank-you and now I'm loving my Apple again. .......Missy

IPod skips at 1:15 on my favorite song and can't get it to play right

The song plays correctly on my computer in iTunes with no skips or through other media players. However on the iPod it skips (only recently started doing it)
I've tried the following:
1. Re-synced, still skips
2. Deleted the song off my computer, re-synced, added mp3 back to my computer, tested it plays perfect in iTunes, re-synced, still skips

Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting the iPod? I don't know what the problem is. Try putting it in manually mode and find the song on the iPod and try to play it through iTunes. If it skips then, you might have to try a different USB port when transferring the file. Also, have you checked the ID3 tags?

PPPoE is a method of connecting to high speed internet modems with additional authentication than just your e-mail authentication. As such you need to check with your internet service provider who offers PPPoE what your username and password are to connect via PPPoE. Some modems have their own built-in PPPoE authentication software, and you should check with your internet provider for your modem whether or not that is the case, and if that is accessible via a web browser connection to a router address. In event it is, the router address based connection may not always work Safari, and you need to download Tenfourfox from:

And then open the router address given.
Most PPPoE modems support a direct connection using Apple's Network System Preference panel.

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

In the Gen 4 they offer "Settings" then "Reset Settings" Then it asks, "Do you want to reset your iPod?" I click on "reset" but then nothing resets. :-( This is what makes me think it might be locked or something....

I am the only one who uses the iMac and am the only person who has signed into it for a very long time. I'm very confused and very frustrated. Help?
Another strange thing that happens: after the error message disappears, the "play" icon (the little speaker to the left of the track name indicating it's playing) rapidly switches between the two songs.

Since you never updated your MacOS X or iPhoto, it will be difficult to update now without the help of Apple Support. There is a bug that makes it difficult. You could use the "quick link" to Apple Support on the main AppStore page to contact Apple Support for help.
Or try to buy a new version. When I look at the AppStore, the price has now changed to "Free", so it should not matter if you buy again or update.
Delete iPhoto from Applications, but do not empty the Trash.
Go to the first page of the App Store and sign in with your AppleID.
Search for "iPhoto" using the Search field.
What does the button below the iPhoto icon show? If it is showing "Free" like for me, click "free" to purchase again.

As for the video specifications for your HP D3000. From what I read, you are either shooting 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second or 640 x 480 at 30 frames per second. And, your video is MotionJPEG.avi. Can you confirm that?

If you are shooting 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second, I would suggest the following, whichever works:
a. transfer the video from the camera to a computer hard drive save location.
b. Open Premiere Elements 11, go to File Menu/New/Project and in the new project dialog set the project preset YOURSELF to NTSC HDV HDV 720p30, making sure that you place a check mark next to "Force selected Project Setting for this project". Then via ADD MEDIA, Files and Folders, browse to an bring your MotionJPEG.avi into the project (Project Assets).
or
a. if doable, attach at USB cable from your camera's USB 2.0 port (it has one according to what I read online) to the computer USB 2.0 or 3.0 port
b. then open a Premiere Elements 11 new project - File Menu/New/Project and in the new project dialog set the project preset YOURSELF to NTSC HDV HDV 720p30, making sure that you place a check mark next to "Force selected Project Setting for this project". Then via ADD MEDIA, "Vidoes from Flip or Camera"/Video Importer and its Advanced Dialog bring your video into the project.
In these cases the project preset will match your source media (no black borders in the monitor space when you edit). If the program has a problem selecting the project preset, as it wants to do, you will probably end up with the default 1080i30 instead of 720p30 unless you step in and do this project preset setting yourself.

Want to count checkboxes in number on the iPad, but cannont figure out the function. There is no Countif function like on the desktop. I've tried a number of varieties of count plus if and could not get it to count the checked boxes in my specified range. Help!

Can't get anything to play in iTunes. Need help please.

I have had iTunes for over 2 years. I upgraded to 6.0.1 probably 2 months ago and have had no problems until last week. Since last week, I can open iTunes but none of my songs will play at all. If I press play or double click on a tune the name comes up in the box at the top/middle of the screen, but it won't play. It's not that it plays and I can't hear it - it just does not play at all. If I use the cursor to drag the little diamond to the middle of the song it still doesn't play.
I have a dell desktop, probably 4 years old (2400 model maybe?), and I use windows xp operating system.
Another issue that developed around the same time is I am not getting sound at all from real player or other players. I do get sound when I use my musicmatch jukebox.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just made a copy of my iTunes Music folder onto my desktop. Than deleted all my songs from my library, but not to the recycle bin. I left them in the folder but out of the library.
Than I re-imported them into my library.
so this guy from my local appleshop told me that ...

So, ok, maybe we have to uninstall iTunes and then reinstall it and then importing our copied music file again.

My Applications Folder seems to have gone missing from my dock. I can see it in the finder window but can't get it back to my dock. Any help would be appreciated!

Close all windows and quit all applications.
Launch Finder by clicking the Finder icon in the Dock.
Right click the "Application" folder and select "Get Info".
At the bottom of the resulting window there will be a blue folder icon in the preview section.
Drag the whole window to the right side of the desktop,closer to the Dock.
Now drag the blue preview folder to the Dock right of the separator line.
Right click the folder icon and select "Folder" under "Display as" if it is not shown as folder.

The tutorial that you linked to isn't the best for someone just getting started.
Try the steps in this tutorial ("Basic workflow tutorial"). If any of the steps don't work for you, write back.
