I purchased and started downloading an audio book, It was a 2 part download. Part 1 downloaded and plays fine. Part 2 downloaded, but it appears the file was corrupt. It would never play in itunes and is no longer referenced in my purchased items.
In addition, since returning I have tried to download part 2 from the apple store, it is not listed as purchased.

I have an iPhone 4 and want to download an audiobook from audible.com. My iPhone says safari can't download the item . Why? Also the audible app is for iPhone 5 and above ? Any suggestions ?
Also the audible app is for iPhone 5 and above
According to https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/audiobooks-from-audible/id379693831?mt=8 it only requires iOS 5 or later and it is "optimized" for iPhone 5. I think it will likely work well on your iPhone 4.
Compatibility: Requires iOS 5.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. -
My itunes looks nothing like the examples in this tutorial. I do not have "display exact duplicates" or "date added". Can someone please help me remove duplicate songs? Also, I downloaded two audio books and they are showing up in my song list. Why???
'Show duplicates' is now under the 'View' menu. To see the 'Date added' column go to 'View options' from the 'View' menu and check it in the section under 'Stats'.
Click an audiobook once to select it and hit command-i (Mac) or control-i (Windows). Go to the 'Options' tab and set 'Media Kind' to 'Audiobook'. -
My audio stops outputting after a few songs in a playlist - itunes says its still playing, stopping and starting track recommences audio output. Mac book Pro Lion 16gb ram. Can be any song, any time, same song will play if I select it again. Bit of a bummer itunes is the main thing I use (macbook pro jukebox).
Most likely culprit is your Lacie drives which are notorious for flaky power supplies which cause just the sort of erratic behaviour that you describe. Have had similar issues myself. Lacie has been good about replacing my power converter-- twice. If you have seven of them, good luck finding the bad one or more. Like I said, the behaviour is erratic. Sometimes it'll work sometimes not. I can't comment on Samsung drives because I've never used them and have never heard anything about them. Same with Softraid. Why not just use Disk Utility. Sounds like you're ready for an external hardware raid. This will be much faster, much more reliable, and may even be cheaper than seven firewire drives. Check out G Tech, and Maxx Digital for starters.
Best of luck

I downloaded an audio book this morning, it did not download completely. I came back to bring back up iTunes to see if the book was completely downloaded and not I can't even bring up iTunes?
Hello robbinredbreast,
I'd recommend putting the iPod into 'manual mode.' This will need to be done from the computer that it's normally synced to in order to prevent removing existing content, but it can then be connected to your computer, and you can add the audio book without removing the current library on the device.
Using iPhone, iPad, or iPod with multiple computers

I have downloaded a Audio Book from Itunes Store, but rencently i have had to reinstall windows, is there any way to re-download the audio book from Itunes, i know that the audio books are one time downloads, but is there any way to get the audio book back as i have already paid for it once and i would not like to pay for it twice.
If you haven't got a backup copy and if it's still in the store then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download (there is no guarantee that they will) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

How does it show up in your library if it's not there?
What happens when you selec it and press Play? -

I am unable to download an audio book to my ipod from itunes
how can i download an audio book to my i pod from itunes? I have downloaded music sucessfully but the spoken word seems to be causing a problem
Hi,
Sync the audiobook to your iPod using iTunes. Find the audiobook on iTunes, make sure it is checked, and when you sync your iPod, the audiobook will be synced to your iPod.
Hope this helps!

Itunes states that my computer is not authorized to download an audio book I purchased from itunes. No problem with purchased songs however.
Hello susanserio
Try Deauthorize your account and then Authorize the account to see if any changes occur. Also there may a resolution in the second article that can be helpful as well.

What do I do to download an audio book to ipod nano
What do I do to download an audio book to ipod nano?
If you are currently using automatic syncing for the other media types, such as songs, you need to go to iPod's Books tab.
First, if you are using the latest version of iTunes, it may hide the sidebar. To show the sidebar, go up to the menu bar, and under View, select Show Sidebar.
Select the iPod in the sidebar, under DEVICES. Over to the right, there is a row of "tabs" that starts with Summary. One of those tabs is Books (if you currently have audiobooks in your iTunes library). On the Books tab, set it to Sync Audiobooks, and choose to sync All audiobooks or Selected audiobooks. If you choose the latter, checkmark the audiobooks you want to sync below. Apply the change.
If you use the manual method (not automatic syncing) to load songs, by dragging songs from the iTunes library to the iPod in the sidebar, you can do the same with audiobooks. Find them under Books in the iTunes library, and drag the ones you want to the iPod in the sidebar. -
I lost connection with the server while downloading an audio book how do I restart the download without paying again?
Go into the App Store, tap Updates, and at the top should appear Purchases. Hit the tab that says "Not on this iPhone" to download again

I downloaded an audio book. It says it was downloaded but I cant find it on my iPad
I downloaded an audio book using iTunes . It says it was downloaded but I cant find it on my iPad anywhere...not in iTunes nor in the audio book app.
on the iPad go to the Music app -> More -> Audiobooks and it should be there. if not try restarting your iPad. if thay doesn't work then I'd recommend a Reset: hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake button at the same time for ~10sec, ignore the Slide to Power Off, the iPad will then Reset, Note: No data is lost during a Reset.

I have downloaded an audio book from the I tunes store. is here an app hat I can now access this from like the iBooks app?
If you've downloaded it on your iPad then it should be in the Music app (and similarly for audiobooks that you sync from your computer's iTunes) - when you have audiobooks on an iPad you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading), so you may want to copy it from your iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of it - it should copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library. -
