I purchased LR just over a year ago, has been working fine until I tried to open the app this evening and it's now asking me for my serial number. There is also no past records of product purchase in my CC account. Has anyone had this problem before and how can I fix it as I am now back on a 30 day trial.
Have you subscribed to the creative cloud photography package?
If you have, does Lightroom show as being available to install from the CC application manager?
Did you update your Lightroom just before this problem started?

I had Photoshop CC, Dreamweaver CC, and Illustrator CC installed as a trial. The trial has now run out and I purchased an account for a full subscription to all adobe software, but in the creative cloud app it keeps prompting me as "your trial has expired" and when I click "license this software" it prompts me with a serial number screen. All uninstalled apps have a "try" or "buy" button next to them when I assume it should say "install" since I've paid for them.
Some things I've read on forums and have tried with no success:
uninstalling and reinstalling all apps including creative cloud desktop manager
used the adobe cleaner utility to clean all leftover adobe files, then tried reinstalling software
edited the hosts file to remove any additional lines.
changed my language settings to International english.
tried signing in and out
I was told this computer had pirated adobe software installed on it at one time. Not sure if this is responsible for why this has been so problematic. Please help, Ive spent hours trying to figure this out. ps i'm on a mac.Jodie84,
I have just checked your account and found that you indeed have bought a Creative Cloud for Teams subscription but you have assigned the single seat to another user hence you ( If you are using your own Adobe ID ) are getting the trial error message.
Two options : Either reassign the seat to your self or add an additional seat and invite your self in the same Team.

Why is Logic pro (downloaded from mac app store) asking me for a serial number?
I recently bought this mac and haven't had any previous downloads on it. I've managed to download and install logic pro as well as the 2GB "essential" add-on. As I clicked to download the additional 19GB of extras it asked me for a serial number that it says would be on my packaging. I obviously don't have this. I quit logic and tried to open it again and it is asking me for the serial number just to get into logic. Really stuck on this one.
It's compatible. Note that there's an App Store (for iPhones, iPads and iPods touch) and a Mac App Store (for Macs, available since Mac OS X 10.6.6). Just open the Mac App Store and purchase Logic Pro 9

I recently purchased Aperture from App store and this was running fine until I upgraded to Mountain Lion. Now when I start Aperture it asks me for a Serial Number . Where can I find this as it was a download and I have no packaging?
I also have this problem! Mine is also not from the App Store. I had purchased Aperture 1, then upgrades for both version 2 and version 3. It's annoying as it is, but I also have to enter my previous serial number as well since it was an upgrade.

If you recently purchased this then it is not likely to be a valid sale/purchase. Adobe does not sell older versions of their products and no one but Adobe provides student/teacher licensing. If you purchased this some time years ago and it is only recently that you find you are not able to reactivate it with the original serial number you can try contacting Adobe Support thru chat and see if they will be willing to work with you to resolve this.

i just payed for the photoshop service but cant download it, its asking me for a serial number but i cant find it anywhere? not in the email or by 'my products and services" ???
It sound like you have CC installed. Try using menu Help>Sign in ... To activate your subscription. Use the Adobe user id and Password your subscription is associated with.
You can sign in to Adobe.com find the My products and services link click on it and see your subscription listed there. -

My Adobe XI trial expired I paid for a month to month subscription on MArch 13, 2015 but I could not activate it. The prompt is asking me for a serial number (which I wouldnt have since I downloaded the trial from the website. How do I activate it with my Adobe ID? "activate with Adobe ID" is not an option on my screen. It only asks me for the serial number.
