Sadly, yes. The iPad application and Mac application are different programs. Buying Keynote for iPad does not also give you Keynote for MacOS.

It will be tied to your old account, so only that old account will be able to re-download it - but redownloading an account's past purchases may tie a computer or device to the account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
Do you have a copy of it anywhere e.g. on your computer's iTunes, or on a backup of your library ? If you have it on a backup then you should be prompted to authorise the account (and I think that the id will show) if you try to add it to your computer's iTunes via File > Add To Library. -

You're almost there. When you look in that Profiles folder, you should see one or more folders with semi-randomized names. The most recent one probably is your last active profile.
You have a lot of options for how to recover:
* Restore last bookmarks backup ([[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]])
* Manually copy over saved password files to your currently active profile folder ([[Recovering important data from an old profile]])
* Attempt a complete "transplant" of your old settings folder to your new installation of Firefox (e.g., this thread: [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/965036 how to install and migrate info to a new laptop with Win 8]) -

This is a user-to-user forum; no one from Apple participates. However, what we do know is the tracks in your iTunes library are matched to the tracks that are available (but sometimes not visible for sale) in your "store of record." So, they are matching to tracks in the UK iTunes Store.

Are there any good DVD authoring programs for Mac now that Apple has discontinued DVD Studio and iDVD? I need to make DVDs that have interactive menus and such (Final Cut X and Compressor 4's DVD option is a little cheap and doesn't provide any kind of professional DVD authoring). Any ideas?

Practically speaking, there are really four options for the Mac platform: Toast (<$100), Adobe Premier Productiom ($1,600 to buy or $50/month to rent), find a copy of Final Cut Studio from 3rd party (+/- $1,000 new) or a boxed edition of iLife to get iDVD ($50 - $90 on Amazon new).
The other question everyone has is how many OS versions before iDVD or FCS breaks? No one knows, but Apple has said they're no longer supporting these legacy apps. Of course, no one is mandated to upgrade to a new OS unless they buy a new computer. So if it works on a system, stay with it as long as it makes sense.

I've been subscribed for ic;oud for 20$ per year and I found it useless for many reasons: that I can not disconnect my mobile while the uploading process and it takes long time for uploading my data .. Its not a reliable system that's why I need to deactivate the space service and take my money back .. Thanks
The "issues" you've raised are nothing to do with the iCloud service.
No service that uploads data allows you to disconnect the device you are uploading from while uploading data. Doing so would prevent the upload from completing. It is a basic requirement for any uploading service that you remain connected to it for uploading to be possible.
The time it takes to upload data to iCloud is entirely dependent on how fast your Internet connection is, and how much data you are uploading. Both of these things are completely out of Apple's control. Whichever upload service you use will be affected by the speed of your Internet connection. -
What a horrible way to treat customers. I was due for updates on my phones and thought I should maybe check some other prices but have been with Verizon for 20 yrs so ended up there. I got 2 new IPhones 5s and the wife couldn’t decide what she wanted so she stayed with old phone but this locked me into a new 2 yr contract . Within a wk one of the new iPhones started turning on and of like 10 –15 times a day. Wk 2 it turned off and would not turn on again . It was my sons who was in college at the time so we talked and he took it in to a Verizon store where he was told I need to come in since the account was in my name. He was away from home , Verizon could see on account it was his phone they said it was not abused, they could not even turn it on , they sold me the phone give him another phone maybe even a loaner till he gets another. So now I need to go to store and explain to 3 different people this is my phone and my son has it and I need a new one. what a waste of time after about 2 hrs and talking to different people and yes they said there were notes on his account from other person he had talked to from different store. So I finally walk out with a receipt in hand and being told I would have a new phone in a couple days. As I sat in my vehicle thinking this is stupid I looked at my receipt and noticed it said droid on it so back into Verizon I went. The salesman said that’s what your son has on his account. My son had activated a friends old phone so he has one since VERIZON REFUSED to give him one. Another hr 3 people and yes they can see he had a new iPhone and notes on it from other store. Sometimes sorry just doesn't do it. I was now late for a appointment . Now I walk out and have been told I will get a new iPhone in the mail in about 2 wk Yes 2 wks again I bought it there just give me a new one and you send old one back. I will also get a new droid that I have to send back because they said they cant cancel it . In about 3 days I get the Droid and sent it back Verizon mistake and a waste of my time . After waiting over 2 wks and not receiving a new iPhone back to Verizon I went . I am now bitter at Verizon after doing 20 yrs of business with them. 3 people 1 hr later I was told it got delivered to my post office . I got the tracking num called the post office and they say o yes that was the droid. Go back in to Verizon another hr of explaining I walk out being told I will get a new iPhone in a couple of days, We’ll see . Once again I got the phone in your store just give me a new one . Do you realize how much of my time you have wasted ? do you care? O what is Your Policy ? How many Billion did you make last year ? I am Locked into a new 2 yr contract . Why don’t you just release me ? After 20 yrs do you think I will ever renew my contract ?

I had purchased Keynote on my ipad and recently upgraded a new SSD hard drive in my mac mini. When I began to reinstall my programs it wouldn't let me download Keynote without wanting me to repay. I can't find the purchase under either username I have though apple. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
The app that you bought for your iPad is for iOS devices only, it will not work on the Mac OS. If you want the Mac version, which operates on Macs and not iOS devices, then yes, you will also have to pay for that one as well.

Thanks for your help.OK, I found what seems to work. That is to open the actual ppt version of the download (not the one that had already been opened & saved in Keynote) in Open Office. So I had to open Open Office & then navigate to the file to open it so that it didn't open in Keynote.
At a One to One training on Keynote where I asked for help with this today he noted that it showed that the presentation had been created in an older version of PowerPoint--apparently 2003 for Windows which could explain some of the issues.
Opening it in Open office it displayed mostly ok. There were 2 or 3 or so slides where I had to tweak horizontal lines between bullet points that had crept up so some where through the text rather than under it. So I just selected the lines & nudged them into position.
Its not perfect & for some reason, some of the lines seem a hair thicker than others (which I guess I could go back & figure out how to use the line thickness tool to adjust, but think I will leave well enough alone for now).
As near as I can tell, this seems to work about equally well doing this on the Mac side or in Parallels in Windows 7. So will stick with the Mac side.
This allows me to run the slide show with me controlling when the different bullet points, etc display. It didn't have any exotic animations or transitions--just rather plain vanilla ones. -

It is entirely up to the user whether they download and install the latest version of iOS for their device.
Personally, I have never found a reason to not run the latest version of iOS on my device.
Whether that latest version is installed or not has no bearing on the ability to sync the device to iTunes. -

It's true that people would, as you put it, be just guessing as to what's actually going to happen after Adobe's decision to bail in the Flash-mobile device market. Nobody knows absolutely. However, that's not a good reason for putting a lid on it or for never asking the question. Some people are good at guessing about these things (remember Steve Jobs) and, being well informed to boot, they might have an intersting scenario to present. From my superficial understanding of the situation, I can only raise the question so that I might learn more by reading others' responses. Then I will decide for myself as to their credibility.
There are some things I know, even more that I don't know and some things I can guess at with resonable accuracy. For instance, I know the mobile device market is big and getting bigger. Exactly how big I don't know. And, I am guessing that no Flash on mobile devices might have an effect on Flash's future on non-mobile computers. Because I am a Flash developer -albeit small time- questions like this are important to me. Maybe there are some forum members who are more savvy than I about these business tech matters, more Jobs-like in their adumbrations. No, not maybe, this I know for sure.
Besides, who knows, maybe the sky is falling!

I can not keep my Ipad 3 sharing with my home connection. I have reset modem, changed firewall settings, etc. Any one have ideas. I am using a Belkin N450 router.
