If it is asking for a serial number for a previous version then you purchased an upgrade version rather than a standalone version. You should be able to determine this based on the price you paid. If you do not own an earlier version then you need to purchase a full version rather than an upgrade. If you did purchase a full version but acquired an upgrade version then you will need to acquire the full version.

I bought a new computer and downloaded my lightroom 4 to it. When I installed the program it asked for my serial number and I imputed it. Then it asked for my previous serial number from my original lightroom 3 purchase. Since I upgraded to lightroom 4 I don't have the serial number for the version 3. How do I get the serial number from my 3 version so I can activate my version 4 program
If you have Lightroom 3 still installed, you can get it from there.
If you don't and you have your box/disk, it should be on there.
IF you don't have either of those,and you registered your software, you can log into your Adobe account and retrieve it there. -

I believe that you have an upgrade version of Adobe Acrobat Pro, in this case it will ask for the serial number of the previous qualifying version.

So I have been creating a logo for my company and it came out great. The problem is, when I format it for PNG or when I want to use it on fresh books or my webpage, the image becomes blurred and the text is not as clear. How do I fix this? Is it because the text get shrunk?

The answer is very simple: You were not the original owner of the phone. Target sold you a phone that had been returned. You can verify the date of the original sale here: Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage. I suspect you will find that the warranty expiration date is not one year from the date that you bought it.

i upgraded from the old imoive(yellow star) to the new iMovie(purple star) , in the old iMovie when i was done i was able to share my project to idvd, i don't see how to do this on the new iMovie. Does anyone know how to burn a dvd with your project from the new iMovie(purple star)? if can't be done can i export my project to the old iMovie and burn to idvd like i used to?
i did what you said and saved the file to my desktop, but how do i get it in idvd now, when i open idvd and point to the file on the desktop either by open existing project or trying to open a new project the file is greyed out and i can't select it

I restored my new phone from an earlier date than my niece's baptism. I don't know if I should have restored or set up as a new phone. But my problem now is that I really want those pictures. I had icloud on that phone and the new one. Can anyone help me or tell me if I can get those pictures back. When I log into my itunes account on my computer it still shows the other phone as a device but I only see where you can remove that device. Thank you need to take a class on all this new technology.
Like a digital camera, you should be syncing your photos from iphone to a computer often. If you have been doing that, you should find the photos on the computer.
If you had been backing up you iphone to icloud, then you could restore the backup, but many users have complained here that they lost all their photos when doing a restore, none seem to have been in the backup. Since your new phone is new, then try doing a restore (you should have done that when you first set up the new phone - if you did and the photos did not come back, then they are lost).

Machine suddenly asks for Final Cut serial number and won't recognise it -
I apologise that I havent posted for almost two years, and praise Shane Ross and the others who give their time so generously. Please could anyone help me? On my MacBook Pro 17" bought just 3 months ago I first installed Final Cut Studio, an upgrade version and it worked sweet on Tiger. I then installed Leopard and upgraded this past weekend to 10.5.2 , dashed out the door in Johannesburg to work in Dubai where client wants edits and DVDs. But when I attempt to open FCP or DVD Studio Pro I get a request for the serial number. It wont recognise the 5.1 original we had before the upgrades, when I get hold of an upgrade number it tells me thats an upgrade put the full one in. I have spent the day calling South African staff and pals there - what a fortune I've spent - and they have given me various serial numbers but no joy. My dealer is trying to get me a Final Cut Studio full pack number ...is it poss that Leopard has caused this, or Time Machine? Has anyone else experineced this issue, I'm pretty desperate and tomorrow if I aint fixed it I will have no choice but to buy another ( third!) copy of Final Cut, the full one in the hope that will enable me to work...

thanks sincerely for responding. I first got serial numbers from the boxes at my office by calling them as you kindly suggested. It was only when they didnt work that I got my dealer to try full package serial numbers for later versions - the serial number for a full pack at our office, the latest one, was for 5.1, so I got a serial number for first version of studio, and for studio 2. both not working. I see Zak recommends repair permissions, I wil;l try that...I have also for the **** of it taken the macbook pro's battery out while I come down here to hotel business centre to use the net...because I am not with the machine I cant accurately answer your question re versions...but I do know that this past weekend I updated all software over the net...so if I recall the FCP is on 6.0.2 and Quick Time up in the 7.4s? But tghe very latest from Apple...

I lost my iPod touch and bought a new one? Is there a way to transfer all the songs I have in iTunes onto the new iPod? I am scared I will lose it all when I sync the new one or that I have to start all over. Please help!!
You can do better than that. You can click on the Restore button that appears under your device in iTunes. This will restore your iPod to factory settings as if it were fresh out of the box. But don't worry. By doing a restore, you will then be given the option to "Restore from Backup." This will allow you to restore the state of your previous iPod!!

due to our operating system we only have 32 bit, purchased lightroom 6 and download cancelled as says needs 64 bit, is there a 32 bit version i can get, otherwise need money back

Hi My problem is: I want to edit NEF's (RAW-Format of Nikon) in Photoshop. I do that in LR3 by "edit-in CS5". CS5 opens (with no ACR-dialogue), and the NEF's with portrait orientation have a 90 degree rotation. Any explanations? Kind regards Ralph
