I attempted to download LR 6 and it said that the download was happening but there was no progress bar showing. I left the downloading screen open for 3 hours but nothing happened.

You can purchase Lightroom 6 as a part of the creative cloud photography package, part of creative cloud, as a stand alone product or as a product upgrade.
If you purchased lightroom 5 as a perpetual product rather than the creative cloud, you would need to purchase an upgrade to Lightroom 6. Udpates are free for stand alone versions, but upgrades need to be purchased.
If you need to purchase an upgrade to a perpetual license that you downloaded or purchased at a store, see this link: Products . Scroll down to lightroom and click "buy". Click on the selectable text by " I want to: "and select "upgrade".
If you are trying to install Lightroom CC 2016 as a part of a creative cloud subscription, you should be able to download and install Lightroom CC 2015 from the Creative Cloud site. Since Lightroom CC is a new product, it will not show as an update in the Adobe Application Manager. Instead, press the install button next to Lightroom in the Application manager. If you don't see "install" by Lightroom in the application manager, please first try signing out and back in: sign in and sign out of the Creative Cloud desktop app

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) have you tried deleting them from your iTunes library and redownloading them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes ? Re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

Download the full installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.
You must either login to an Adminstrator account to run the installer, or right-click on the downloaded installer and select 'Run as Administrator'.

Add-ons contain a range of compatible Firefox versions, and Firefox honors the listed range by disabling the add-on if you are trying to run it on an unlisted version.
I'm sure Yahoo! will update its toolbar eventually, but not every add-on maker supports beta versions of software.

I downloaded an app and it said that it couldn't b/c it required a newer version of Ipod software.

I downloaded an app for my daughter and when I went to install it, it said that it couldn't be installed because it required a newer version of software. So, I went and checked the software for both iTunes and her iPod touch. It said that both were the latest versions. So, what do I do now? I wouldn't mind so much if it was a free app but this one I paid for and it was one that my daughter really wanted!!! So, please tell me what I need to do.

My experience is that you may have the latest software update for your ipod touch but some apps only work with the newest ipods. A nice little way to keep people buying the newest latest thing right? It usually tells you that it's not compatible with the ipod before you download it but I also only use free apps. It wouldn't surprise me if they let you pay for it before you found out. At this point I don't think I would be trying to figure out how to make it work. I would be looking for a refund or on the phone with them demanding they walk you through whatever it takes to get it working. I hate that your daughter can't use the app she really wanted. I had the same problem with a Nook. I bought one that turned out not to let you download or play games. My daughter was really disappointed. On the bright side, she took her points and bought books and is reading a lot more. I hope you have a positive outcome in all of this. I hope this helps.

I solved it myself, after the "note" which came back from FF/Mozilla just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system had , I wnnt back to check my plug-ins etc. I downloaded the latest Java, BOTH 32bit AND 64 bit versions and latest Firefox.
Now all is working.

HT3180 I just upgraded a new version of Apple tv yesterday, Nov. 17, 2013, and now I can't go back to just watching my regular cable tv. It was fine before yesterday. What do I do??

Apple TV was working fine and I could easily switch back and forth to watch my regular cable tv. Yesterday a box appeared on the screen asking me to upgrade Apple TV. Since I did that I cannot switch out of 'HDMI' back to 'TV' and watch cable tv. It says 'Channel not available (no signal).
What happened and how do I fix it?

Thanks again for your help. I ended up calling my local cable provider who simply told me to make sure the channel was on 03. Then I could once again switch back and forth from Apple TV to the cable channels.
I never had to use channel 03 before when I changed the source and since then I haven't needed to make sure it was on channel 03. It works just like before from any station.
Maybe it was just for the first time after I had upgraded. Who knows?? It's fine now.Thanks again for your input.

Bear in mind, when iOS6 does come out, for the first 48-72 hours the servers will be swamped as 'everyone' tries to be the first to get the update. So those that hurry may have to struggle a bit more than those that wait a day or go for it at a non-peak time.
After every update like this the forum is usually very busy with 'i can't get the file' threads...and the key is usually to just be patient and possibly wait for the initial rush to fade.

This I have seen before...
It can be that the SMTP relay server is configured to only allow certain IP ranges or addresses.
It can be that the firewall on the SP server does not allow for SMTP traffic (normally 25, for example for Exchange).
It can be that there is an Antivirus on the SP server(Client AV) that prohobits the Timer service to send email from this server. I have seen MacAfee do this. Needed an policy change.
If, its the builtin SMTP service you are using, check this link:

Same thing happened with my iPhone 4S - no one is any help. Thanks Apple for such a crappy update! Yeah that works, but, it involves a click on the event, a click on edit, a click on the date, keystrokes, plus, since you can't see the next month you have to have a calendar in front of you so as to put it to the right date. It's easier just to cut it and advance the month and paste it, once you are in the right month you can move it around helter skelter willy nilly no problems. Although now that you mention it I will try it, maybe it is easier than cut and paste as I don't really care about the date, as long as it gets moved into the right month I can drag it around all I want.
