Bought books that are now part of a collection, and I would like to buy the collection but not pay for previously boughten books. Is this possible or will I have to pay for them again? (Tsd training mechanics collection)

i bought some books about automotive engines by TSD training. A total of 3 books.
Earlier i was browsing the iBooks App Store and noticed these books were now part of a 14 course mechanics collection of books.
I wanted to buy the remaining 11 courses (iBooks) in this collection thinking I could just "complete my album" per say as you can when purchasing a collection of music on a given album but it seems I do not have this option. Will I have to pay for these 3 books again if I buy the collection? is there a way around this? Can I choose only the remaining books I need? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

If you want to buy the other books in the collection, you will not be charged for the books you already purchased.

My previously bought TV Shows now shows that I have to pay for them again.

I bought several seasons of "The Office" and everything is available except for most episodes from 7 and 8. It just shows the monetary value and that I must pay for these.
How do I recover these episodes? I have gone through the hide and unhide route.

On your computer's iTunes, do they show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the store homepage for redownloading ? Or go into Preferences and on the Store tab tick the 'show iTunes in the cloud purchases' and see if they then show in the TV shows part of your library with a cloud icon against them for redownloading.
If you've changed countries since buying them then they won't show for redownloading.
And if not already doing so you should be keeping and maintaining your own backup copy of all of your downloads, any item (app, music album, tv show) could be removed by the content providers at any time, if they are removed you won't be able to redownload them

If I delete purchased (not rented) movies to free up space, do I have to pay for them again in the future...

My iPad 1 is gettting full and I've deleted some seasons of a TV show to free up some space. I would like to watch them again in the future. Do I have to re-purchase them again, or can I just download them.

You can re-download them in the future! Just go to iTunes> Purchased> and locate your movie show! The only time that you will be charged twice is when you have a new Apple ID.

HT201272 Hello, I've downloaded music videos in the past and I found that I can download them from my "purchased list" and thought that I wouldn't have to pay for them again. However, I am being charged for some payments ...which I did not know.

Can I run a factory reset on my MacBook Pro and later reinstall my purchased apps, or will I have to pay for them again?

My MacBook Pro is a work computer, and my company may need to run a factory reset on it. I don't have much faith in their abilities to save any of my info, so I am backing all my photos and videos up on an external hard drive, but I am concerned I will lose my purchased apps in the process.
Is there any way I can get those back later if I need to? There's a lot of purchased apps on my MacBook Pro.

Like posted above if you purchased them from the Mac App store all you have to do is Login to the MAS with the same Apple ID used to buy them and they will be available for Re-Download and install.
If you purchased some of them from the developers website then the developer might of sent you a registration code in an email. Find those and make a Text Document out of them and then Print that text Doc and save it to that external for safe keeping.
You can then go back to the developer website and re-download their program and install it using that key/reg code to authorize it.

Unfortunately, redownloading of past music purchases isa still in beta test and only available in the US right now.

If you bought them on your iPad then you will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library and you can then sync them to your iPhone - ringtones are a one-time only download, so you won't be able to redownload them directly on your phone.

If you are in the UK, and the film studio allows re-downloading, and you are signed in with the same account that you bought them with, then they might show under the Purchased link under Quinklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page for re-downloading - if they don't show then check to see if they are hidden (hiding and unhiding).
But you should be keeping and maintaining your own backup of your downloads and noy rely on being able to re-download any item as they are occasionally removed from the store by the content provider (film studio, tv company, record company etc).

Yup, your question and Diane's answer helped me also. Tho' I had had problems before getting into the iTunes store I always managed to find a way. Today they had me blocked cold with the "Update to 10" advert no matter what I did. Other questioners are being told, incorrectly as it turns out, that they have to update their OS to accomodate iTunes 10 and upgrade to iTunes 10. I did the download which did not take up much more room on my crowded old hard drive and now I'm back in business.

To turn on/off retail mode, go to settings, general, legal.
Do not open legal, just put the cursor there.
Then, on the remote, type this sequence : right - right - left - center.
The AppleTV should reboot.
