I purchased music on i tunes and plugged my phone into my computer to download the new songs and update .
I Tunes message read I tunes was donwloading software update version 4.3.1 onto my phone. Then it said download 1 item, and then there was a problem
and my device now has no information and i must restore my phone .... Help... is it my computer or have i done something wrong on I tunes..Im a new phone user and frustrated.. Help

believe it or not I have only synced my phone twice..and i had the same problem before so I was nervous about trying again. I do think my USB port is faulty as it didnt seem to make the connection.. anyway i resolved it last night by following some instructions i found on community help..
i disconnected the iphone from the computer
closed all running porgrams on the computer
created a new user with admin priviledges on the computer
logged out of the origional user
logged in to the new user
attached my i phone
i tunes recognized my i phone devise
i ejected my i phone from itunes
closed itunes and logged off the newly created user
logged in to the origional user and lunched i tunes
connected i phone...and yes i tunes recognized my device.. i have to restore from back up..but i have my phone back..
I might have missed the messages asking if i wanted to install the updates. thanks

However, my purchases are not yet downloaded to the iphone and not available to download. If I go to "purchased > music > all > recent purchases" it will show me the purchases that were most recent the last time I synced my phone, but not the purchases since then.
Any thoughts on how I can remedy this and make all of my purchased music available on my phone without requiring syncing?

Fortunately, AirPlay does not cost anything as it is a streaming protocol used by Apple. Currently, the AirPort Express and Apple TV are AirPlay-ready. A number of other companies, like JBL, iHome, Denon and Klipsch are also rumored to be working on AirPlay versions of their products.
Your other option would be to get an AirPort Express and connect it to your Onkyo analog or optical digital audio input and stream from iTunes that way. I currently do this with my 10+ year old Harmon Kardon HT receiver.

If he sets his MacBook and iPhone 4 as one of my devices (1of10) on iTunes Match will he be able to see his purchases and mine on his computer? Will I be as to see his? Can he still use his apple I'd? I'm new to this....

Unfortunately, if Apple simply allowed people to log into different accounts and download content, everyone would be using everyone could share everyone else's content and bypass the need to purchase anything. To protect against this, they limit you to logging into a new account to once every 90 days.
If two or more of you, have different accounts and use only one computer, you should each have your own user account on the computer, to avoid the need to log in and out of iTunes.

If you were instructed to call them, then that's what you should do. They will probably need to verify your identity before helping you with the security question.

You can use different ID's for iTunes and iCloud.
Just delete the account in settings > iCloud and create them their own account.
if the children are minors, you wiil need to create and be responsible for each account yourself.

If you had the hard drive from the original machine, a backup of the same, an iPod with the media, or a subscription to iTunes Match then there would have been hope, but alas no.

If you are using the latest version of iTunes (4.6), then you need to make sure your ipod software is up to date also.
When you have done this, authorize your music in iTunes by playing a few seconds of it, and it should transfer by whatever synching method you choose.
Get the latest updates here.
If you have done all this and still can't transfer it, post back with more info about what is happening.

What country are you in ? If you aren't in the US and the address on your account isn't in the US then try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select your country.

Can't copy purchased music from iTunes to iPod(logged into a Windows domain

I'm running iTunes on Windows XP. I've been using it to manage my music including purchasing music for iTunes.The laptop I'm using I also use it for work and log into a work Domain. I recently purchased an iPod (video) and attempted to transfer music via iTunes. When I manually try to transfer purchased songs only iTunes closes. I can transfer songs that have been imported into the library via CD. I receive a message "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." My user login has administrator rights to the PC (where iTunes is installed). All my music files are kept on an external hard drive. I've called Apple support and reinstalled the software several times with the same results. I did create a new user that logs in to
the PC (not the work Domain), that can somehow transfer the music to the iPod. But I can not see any folders, playlists, or purchased music that was established when logged on the work Domain. That solution isn't sufficient because I can't normally create different users
and run iTunes (and other products) this way.
Anyone encounter this problem? Any suggestions?

This sounds like an interesting snag - clearly if you can get copied CD tracks onto the iPod there isn't an issue PC to iPod.
I wonder if the inability to copy downloaded music is related to the very clever stuff Apple do to prevent you writing more than seven copies of those tracks? Just a thought - I have no idea how it all works, but it occurs to me it could get embroiled in network stuff?? If you are friendly with your administrator ask them if you can have a go at connecting your iPod to a computer with admin rights, and see if you get a more helpful error message.
