I purchased photoshop elements 6 and premiere elements 4 from adobe in 2010. I can't find my installation cd but have my serial number.

I have purchased a new computer after my old one crashed. Can I download it from the website? I see support for 7, 8, and 9 but not 6. I can't afford to do the online use of photoshop. I am a home photographer, just use it for my flower photos and family. Can anyone offer me a suggestion. I even have my original box and receipt but no cd!!

This is bad and I am sorry to hear that you are running into these issues.
Let me connect with you, so right now, the current state is that you have installed copy of PSE 8 in trial on your windows 7 machine, and when you are trying to enter the serial number from your PSE 8 Box, it is saying the serial number to be invalid?
It might sound pretty obvious, but please make sure that you are entering the serial number correctly and of PSE 8(in case you bought a PEPE box)?
Have you tried the steps mentioned below by Barbara?
If possible, you can send me the serial number through PRIVATE MESSAGE and I can check it on my end that whether the serial number is indeed invalid or that the issue is with your machine?

I don't think so because only purchases within the 30 days of new release qualifies for free upgrade. however, some countries have different rules and your best bet is to phone your local office of Adobe and speak to them and be prepared to send them (via email and/or fax) proof of your purchase so that they can consider your status.
Also, it is a good idea to register the product (this is separate from activation of the product) so that there is yet another proof of purchase.

If you registered PSE when you first installed it, go to the main page of adobe.com and look for My Adobe on the upper right side of the page. By working your way through the links there you should find your serial number.

Apple apparently doesn't do email support. You could try sending an email to Apple corporate and see if it kicks up any dust. Otherwise, see if you can contact the place you purchased the software.

If you still have the receipt or other proof of purchase, you can ask Apple to send you the serial. Otherwise, bad luck mate.. Good news is, you can now buy Logic Pro 9 from App Store for just 199 USD
