I purchased QT Pro years ago, but it seems to have disappeared after upgrading to Lion.

I still have my key codes, but I cannot find a way to re-download QT Pro without repurchasing it. The primary reason I feel the need to reinstall QT Pro is because for some odd reason the only video files that will play with Quicktime are .wmv files (which really strikes me as odd, seeing QT will only play .wmv files and not .mpg or .mov files) -- this seemed to also happen once I moved to Lion. Like many questions that've been posted, when I try to play a .mov or .mpg file, I get the infamous Codec error code.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

If you had it in Leopard it was moved to the Utilities folder when Snow Leopard was installed. It installs in the Utilities folder in Lion, too.

Trying to delete podcast from nano (5th) but only seems to have disappeared from iTunes

My daughter set up my nano a few years ago by putting running songs on, which was all I wanted it for then . Am thinking about getting another Apple device so have been teaching myself how iTunes works and also other things about this neglected nano. I decided to try downloading a podcast through iTunes, which worked fine, with it showing in the podcast library and then transferred it on to the nano where it appeared correctly in the Podcast menu and played.
I don't actually want that podcast (was just using it to trial the process ) so tried to delete it from the nano. I thought I had followed instructions gathered from here (the user manual wasn't clear) which said I had to do it via iTunes.
Result: I have managed to delete the podcast from the library (shows as nothing in there) but it is still on the nano.
Woudl be very grateful for help on where I go from here!

Further report: I reset the nano, deleted everything and reloaded the music. It worked - no lingering unwanted podcast - but surely there must be a proper way to do this ?

Audiobooks are a one-time only download from the store. Just want to ask about the full screen icon that used to be on the play bar but seems to have disappeared since upgrade to mountain lion, any way to get it back?

Since upgrading to mountain lion I've noticed the full screen icon which used to be on the playback bar in quicktime has gone, I know you can go to the menus to make it full screen but if you're watching something online like with apple trailers I can't seem to make them fullscreen anymore, is it me or have they just taken this option away now?

Strange! It works for me. Here is a link to a screen recording of me wayching a trailer in Safari and later watching a trailer download. In both cases the trailer could be expsnded for full screen viewing and then reduced back to the size of the original 720p player display screen. If you can't do this then you may have a player problem also.

Why did apple make these changes when they worked perfectly the old way, I mean if it ain't broke don't fix it!
Only Apple whould know for sure but my guess would be that other users may have requested the "Share" pop-up more. Makes no difference to me because I normally use the key shortcuts anyway.

I changed my email address and apple id a year ago, but i am not sure how to change my icloud acccount information so it meshes with all my apple devices which include: an original ipad, iphone 4s, and my macbook pro. I keep seeing this message, " I cloud unable to access the account ( my old email address) Review your account information in your settings. OR it asks me for my old email address password, which i do not remember!

Sign out of the iCloud account (In System Preferences>iCloud)
Then sign back in with the correct ID and password.

My 1 year warranty expires in 2 days and so I was wondering if I can register that APP on my MBP now (before the 1 year warranty expires), even though the APP is a year and a half old?

If your mom registered her AppleCare plan, it doesn't matter whether she ever used it or not, it's already linked to her computer. If she bought it at an Apple Store, at the same time as the computer purchase, it may already be registered. If it was bought separately, and never registered, then you should be able to use it yourself.

If you are in a country where you can re-download music, and they are the same songs that are still listed in the store (e.g. they aren't different releases of them), and you are signed in with the same account that you bought them with, then they should show in the Purchased link for re-downloading

It sounds like you are trying to download a purchased album, but not all the tracks are listed as being purchased. If you still have the receipt that was emailed to you when you bought it, you can use it to report a problem with the purchase to the iTunes Store directly with this article:
