I purchased the download version PE13 from adobe. Got serial # from adobe,however when serial number is typed in I get a message that says it is invalid. Help! I am using windows 7.

I am having issues trying to start up with Mountain Lion on my 2010 Mac Mini. Here's the scenario:
1) After starting up, I get the usual gray screen with Apple logo.
2) After a few minutes, a darker gray screen scrolls down and in the middle of this is a black dialogue box with reversed (white) text. This text, in multiple languages, reads: "You need to restart your computer." Then it goes on to instruct on how to shut it down and restart it.
3) I follow this instruction, but get the same dialogue box over and over agin.
Any ideas?

If you can't boot in the usual way, try a safe boot. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
During startup, you’ll see a progress bar, and then the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all. Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is on a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

I had a month long trial of Lightroom and I decided to purchase a prepaid 12month Lightroom/Creative Cloud license. When I uninstall Lightroom and then reinstall it, I get a message that says trial ended with the option to 'buy'. How do I install the purchased year long license to my desktop or add a license number? Also wondering where I might find this number?

It's a POP account. I decided to clean up my mailbox today after noticing the computer was real slow after USA Today started sending their daily top stories with new graphics. Also before I noticed the problem with mail deletion - two things happened. 1) I updated security sofware as prompted by Apple and 2) downloaded Mackeeper and went throught some preliminary scans but did not buy their package. I just downloaded the Adobe XI trial version and when I try to start it I get a message that says the trial is over.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

When i try to open firefox i get a message that says Windows has encountered a problem and will notify when there is a solution. Then you can click on the explanation and it says DEP will not allow it to open. Can you tell me how to fix this?

I was able to install and have an icon on my desktop. When i click on it it automatically pops a box up that says: Firefox has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Then it highlights an icon at the bottom to show what the problem is and it is DEP (data execution prevention. I tried a few suggestions there but it didn't work. So it said to see if there is a download version compatable with DEP

I down loaded Firefox 3.6.10, did the execution and still when load it as my browser I get a message that says "Almost there". What is going on?

When I load Firefox as my browser, a screen comes up that wants me to download the 3.6.10 version again but, as I said, it has been downloaded, executed and I have tried this several times with the same result. I run Vista Home Premium operating system. I can still browse the internet but still get my home page as "You are almost there" or some such. What should I do?

I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. Sounds like you created a "Reference" file here. I.e., a "Reference" file is a file that tells the player how to play the data contained in a "Resource" file. When you try to open the "Reference" file in the QT Player app, the first thing the player does is check to see if the "Resource" data file is is still available where it is supposed to be. (I.e., moving/deleting the resource file or moving reference file without moving the resource file to maintain the relative path between the two will generate the error message you mentioned.)

That depends. Deleting a file does not actually erase the data immediately. Instead, the operating system just tells the system directory that the space containing the movie data is available for reuse if/when needed. As time passes, the chance that some of the data sectors will be re-written by other data continuously increases. To restore the file normally requires use of a special utility that both locates and restores all of the linked sectors containing the "deleted" movie data in their correct order. Other methods of restoring files would depend on the software you routinely have active on your system. For instance, do you use "TimeMachine?" or orther software that automatically backs up your data periodically? If so, then follow the instructions for your particular application to recover a deleted file.

I've been encountering problems with this from the beginning, when I realized that my iTunes media folder was engulfing most of my storage. I bought an external drive, followed all the steps, and since then I've lost 1 movie and several songs, and now I've lost some magical file that means I can't move anything now. The files are still on my computer (I moved them back after losing the movie and songs) and I can't move the media files. It does create the folders for me all the way down to the artist and album BUT when I open that last folder it shows me NOTHING! please help this is incredibly frustrating.
