I purchased the itunes match. How do I download music that is not from itunes store?

I have been trying to download music from my PC to the cloud. iTunes Match picked up the music I purchased from the iTunes store but did not download any of the music from my PC library. How do I download that music?

I do not follow what you are trying to do. Firstly you don't download music from your PC to the cloud - you upload to the cloud!
Where is your music? Is it on your computers hard drive? Has iTunes Match scanned your iTunes library?

Yes, I know that deleting songs from iTunes does not necessarily mean they are deleted from iTunes Match, too. Not checking the box when deleting songs is definitely not why this is occurring, so hear me out. My Mac hosts my main iTunes library. What I do there, is synched with iTunes Match. In iTunes in Boot Camp, I have no local files, so all that iTunes on Windows shows me, are the songs that are matched with and uploaded to iTunes Match. As far as I can tell, it's exactly the same as my main library on my Mac.
It's a different story on my iPhone, though. There are songs that show up on my iPhone that I have deleted on my Mac. Some several times, even. A little while ago, I ripped one of my CDs and had it matched with iTunes Match. I made some changes to the metadeta afterwards, though, so I deleted the songs and added and matched them again. And again, that same day. I did the same things with a single song.
And now I'm stuck with three copies of the album and of the song in iTunes Match. But the weird thing is, that only one of each shows up in iTunes on Windows. That library, again, does not have any local music; it only shows what's in iTunes Match. I have tried disabling iTunes Match on my iPhone, I have deleted all local content on my iPhone, I have deleted the album and the song – the files that are showing up multiple times on my iPhone – from my Mac, updated iTunes Match, re-added the files and updated Match again. Unfortunately, none of this helped.
After deleting the files and updating Match, I saw only two instances of the album and the song in question, instead of three. After re-adding them and updating Match again, there were three of each again. That means that there are two instances of the album and of the song 'stuck' in iTunes Match. And yet they don't show up in iTunes on either OS X or in Windows.
Why is this happening? And, more importantly, how can I fix it? In the grand scheme of things, this is obviously a minor problem, but it's annoying me a lot nonetheless.

Is there really nobody else with this problem? Really?

Connect it to the computer. Open iTunes. Select it under the Devices heading in the iTunes' sidebar. Click on the Summary tab. Click on the Sync button in the lower right corner of the window. This will setup your first sync and backup. After it is completed click on the Music tab in the iTunes window. Select the music you want to sync or click on the Sync All radio button if you want all the music synced. Of course, there must be sufficient space on your phone. Then click on the Sync button to transfer the selected music to your phone.

I have just bought an 80gb ipod and it automatically put the music in itunes onto my ipod. However I have far more music in my c:\itunes that wasn't put in itunes and wasn't put onto the ipod. How do I get all this music on my ipod without having to play all the songs?

You don't have to play anything to get it into iTunes.
File -> Add folder to iTunes.

The iphone is not storage/backup device.
The sync is one way - computer to iphone.
The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

There are hardware converters that will convert HDMI to various other types of output, however there are some issues with doing so that you should be aware of.
HDCP
HDCP compliant converters will not allow you to watch HDCP protected content such as that from the iTunes Store. Non compliant converters exist but we cannot discuss them under the Terms of Use for these communities.
Resolution and aspect ratio
I'm not aware of any converters that will scale the output from the Apple TV, any TV or projector which is used will need to be widescreen and support resolutions of 720p.

All you have to do is plug in an external USB HDD, enable it and forget it (not literally forget it, but it works automatically in the background). With the device connected, click the Summary tab and you will see the "Convert higher bit rate..." option. Set it to 128. See picture below:

I have jut bought a new iPad and want to download all my existing albums. I don't always have Internet access or access to iCloud or iTunes on my MBP, and am happy with duplicating my music on/to all my Apple devices. I can't find out how to download all my albums/songs in one go rather than one album at a time? Can anyone help me please.

Currently you would need to go to each album and download them to get the songs. You do have the option to go to the iTunes Store app and go to More > Purchased > Music > All Songs, there is a Download All button in the upper right hand corner and that will only work for purchased content from the iTunes Store.

Last Thursday someone put a virus in my laptop and I have not been able to see or play any of the songs that I have purchase from itune. I had about 230 songs that I puchase from itune.

A virus was put into my laptop last Thursday and I have lost all of the songs I purchase from iTunes. Can you help me recover the nearly 230 songs I purchase from iTunes?

Not a good idea to post personal information on a public forum.
Good news - you have not lost your iTunes purchases. You can re-download them to your computer or to another computer that you have authorized your Apple ID to iTunes on as follows:
1.     Open iTunes and sign on with the Apple ID that was used to make the purhases
2.     Click on the iTunes Store
3.     Click on Purchased under the Quick Links sidebar on the right-hand side of the iTunes Store window
4.     Click on Music (or whichever media you are looking to recover), then on "Not in My Library". Then click on Albums or Songs, Most Recent.
5.     You can then re-download individual items as you wish, or select "Download All" at the bottom of the screen to download everything

ITunes Match - see list of downloaded music? on the iPhone??

In iTunes, can I see a list of the songs I have downloaded locally on my machine separately from the ones available in iTunes Match? Is there a function to see this in the iPhone version. This is where it would be very useful. Too much scrolling!!!

If you are using itunes match to add your music to icloud you can quickly delete all music on your device without effecting the icloud data.
Go to Settings/General/Usage
Under the storage section go to music and select it.
Press edit in the top right corner, then the stop sign and the delete button that will then appear.

How do I put music on my iPod from itunes and icloud

I recently uploaded my music from itunes up to icloud.
Today I put my ipod classic to itunes and 'synced' and found that the only songs that are now on the ipod are ones itunes hasnt uploaded to icloud or songs I 'downloaded' icloud to me itunes on my mac
Please dont tell me the only way I can sync the Ipod is to redownload all my songs from icloud onto Itunes again...23000 songs..

Hmm, after you uploaded the music that wasn't already matched in iTunes did you then delete the tracks from your library or are they still there? If you iPod is set for automatic sync and you removed the tracks from the library then naturally they would have been removed from the device. The iPod classic doesn't come with wi-fi so you can't download content directly to it as you can with an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch, but even with those devices it is not necessarily a good idea to remove your own local copy of the content. iCloud isn't really an alternative to a local library, rather an adjunct to it, letting you access stuff on your library on demand from a device that can't hold it all at one time.
If I've misunderstood then if may be that you simply need to restore the device to repopulate it.
