I purchased tones on my ipad, but they don't show up on my computer or iphone

Being that Apple doesn't allow my ringtones from my 5 to transfer to my new 6, I had to purchase new tones, from itunes. Well, I purchased the tones from my ipad, but now they won't show up on my computer, or my iphone 6. I set all of the machines up to sync wireless, and to share as well, but have had no luck. I am almost inclined to return this **** phone; can anyone please help? Thanks

I connected the ipad to the computer, but it is not the computer assigned to the phone (we have two different desktops). The older computer is where the ipad gets synced, and the new computer is where the iphone gets synced.
Is there a way to get the tones transferred to the new computer?

Settings > Sounds > Ringtone > they should appear in the list.
If they don't show, try syncing your iPhone with your PC and then see if they appear.

There are some good programs that you could use to convert the format, Handbrake or Mpegstreamclip are two good free ones. Convert them to MP4 and then try importing them again.

I had the same problem and was able to fix it. Go to your iTunes and click on the Tones folder on the left under library. Some of my ring tones had an exclamation mark next to it and those were the ones that did not sync. You have to click on those and find it in your computer. Once the exclamation mark is gone, go to Tones section of your device in iTunes, make sure you select the tones you want synced, and click apply. I hope that helps you!

I have signed out then back into the cloud. I have comfirmed location of the photostream folder. I have have even restored settings on my phone. any ideas on what I can do to get it working again? or do I have to accept defect, and manually save my photos?

This could be a result of Automatic Downloads not being enabled, the apps were too large to download via the cellular data network or a cellular data connection was not available at the time of download. The best option would be to download the missing apps via the steps in the second article below.

I've read the 'How to re-download' article but it doesn't address my problem. They just aren't showing either as purchased or downloaded on my iPhone...but if I connect my iPhone to my PC and select Tones from the dropdown list, they are all there. How can I get them to show on my phone or why don't they show...??

When you look at your iPhone, are you looking in the Music app or in the iTunes app? Be sure you are looking in the Music app, and look in the Songs category. If your songs are not here, you may want to try syncing your information again through iTunes. To do this, uncheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync in the bottom right corner of iTunes, and then recheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync again.

I transfer documents to Pages, but they don't show up?

I transfered two different documents through iTunes (one document in .doc and the other in .rtf), and it said they both synced. But when I disconnect (or even still leave the iPad connected), my documents aren't showing up.
I even tried restarting the iPad, but that didn't do anything as well.

From Pages (and the two other iWorks apps too) you need to go to the my documents screen and touch the icon with the open-top box and in arrow and then touch the Copy from iTunes button.

I purchased songs on my iPhone but they don't show up in my iPod touch

The 1G iPod (iOS 3.1.3)does not support the automatic download feature. You have to sync them to your 1G iPod.

Hi I have Pages installed on my iPad and when I look on purchased app it showed as installed on iPad and iPhone. However on my iPhone it doesn't appear as an option to install. Do I have to purchase pages again?

If you don't have automatic download of apps turned on (and only when connected to Wi-Fi) it will not appear on your iPhone automatically. When you go to download or "purchase" Pages on your iPhone, it will say this was already purchased and begin to download, assuming you are using the same Apple ID for both.

I purchase ringtones on iphone, but they don't show up as purchased in itunes and i can't transfer from iphone to itunes.

I have an iphone 3 on which i downloaded ringtones, two of which are not showing in itunes. I now just purchased the iphone 4s. When I synced the ringtones, those two were of course missing. How do I get itunes to recognize that I purchased those ringtones on the iphone 3?

Well Defcom, your last response didn't fix it, however, it helped!
You had me delete com.apple.ichat.AIM.plist and com.apple.ichatAgent.plist. I did that and restarted with no luck. However, when I was in there, I found one other file that was related that you didn't mention, com.apple.ichat.plist. I deleted it too, restarted and boom, it works and she shows up now. Also, the fonts and such are working properly now too haha. So while you didn't solve it, you pretty much did! Thanks for your timely and helpful responses!

Merged contacts to iCloud on iPhone but they don't show up on my iPad2

I just completed the upgrade to both devices last night. It went very smooth ( not quickly mind you ) with only one issue noticed so far with the Apple native Apps. The iPhone went first. I sent my Calendar and Contacts to the cloud. All seemed OK. I then updated the iPad and after turning on calendar and contacts I noticed the calendar was still there but the contacts are not. I turned both off and on and no change.

I had the same issue....within the address book app..... tap the "groups" tab and the page will flip and you will have the option to choose contacts from the cloud or from the computer..... choose the one with your email address associated with the cloud.... this worked for me.... my address book was then populated with all my contacts...
