These and other forums are full of people with iPhone unlocking problems - the net result is that, as others have said, is:
If you bought them from Apple they will be (and stay) unlocked.
If you bought them PAYG from CPW then they will lock to the first SIM activated.
Any other contract or PAYG phone iPhone bought from the networks WILL be locked by them too.
However, all is not lost. The original purchaser can request for the phones to be unlocked by Apple, via the carrier. The carriers usually charge around £20 to do this, or gratis if you're out of contract.
You are the original purchaser, right? If not, you need to get in touch with that person and pray they'll help you out.

iTunes states " There's a problem with your Iphone, please contact apple service center " Also i took my iphone to a local service man and he told me the IMEI code has been corrupted and there's nothing that can be done about it. Please help, if you have any solution.

My dad got this iPhone for me a few months ago as a gift since I had a really awful phone before. The only thing is, I can't seem to upgrade it to the latest software without it telling me it's already updated to iOS 4 or something like that. (I would be able to give you the exact iOS version, but ever since connecting my iPhone to iTunes, my phone isn't responding so I can't check the settings or anything.) I can't download any apps (I get an error message saying the software on my phone is too old) and so I pretty much am extremely limited to what I can do on this phone. I'm very frustrated at this point and incredibly displeased with Apple's products.
If someone could please explain to me why this is happening and what I can do to fix it, I'd be extremely grateful.

If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. -
I just uploaded firefox 5.0, which does not support the top sites feature I've used so happily. Is there a similar add on that does work with 5.0? I feel like I'm blind!

It has NEVER been possible to purchase an unlocked iPhone 3G in the US. Your phone was hacked. Updating it has re-locked it to AT&T. AT&T will NOT unlock iPhones for any reason.
The phone is now useless to you. There is no legitimate way to fix this. Buy a new phone. Preferably in India. -
My old computer had itunes and downloaded songs that I put on my ipod. Well, my old computer got replaced years ago without saving hard drive info or passwords and my iPod burnt out years ago and will not activate. I now have a new computer and iPod and I have an iTunes account on my iPhone5. How can I get access to my old songs on new computer? Are they lost for good? Is there anyway to find a new font on Pages for iPad? The letters are hard like a rock when you use foreign languages like Thai. The fonts on device do not support foreign language.

Purchased Seagate network drive, ethernet attached to wireless router, set up went well but attempts at backup with Time Machine failed. "Do I need to erase disk and reformat or is this error message "The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features" indicating some other error?
That means the NAS drive's OS isn't compatible with the version of OSX you're running. See if the maker has an update.

When i connect my iPhone to iTunes, it says i have to set up my iPhone, and wont allow me to sync any media i have already purchased on it. My phone is not new, so I dont understand? This all came about when i updated the iOS 6 software. I have tried to re-set up my phone but it makes no difference and deletes everything off my phone.

For the first time, I'm trying to use adobe premiere elements 10 that came with my pc Windows 8. I created a single project, saved it but cannot open it. My pc shows the file I created but I get an error message that says this type file is not supported or the codex is not installed. I am unable to create a new Actionscript Mobile project. The new project dialogue gives the error: "The selected Flex SDK does not support building mobile projects." I tried seting the default Flec SDK both to the SDK included with Flash Builder 4.7, and also to a version of the 4.6.0 SDK (build 23201) with AIR 3.3 SDK overlayed on it, which already existed on my computer. Both resulted in the same error. Any ideas?

Actionscript Mobile projects use AIR SDK by default in Flash Builder 4.7 . Flex SDK won't be used for Actionscript projects.
Could you please try creating an Actionscript project in fresh workspace and let me know if the issue still exists.
Also attach screenshot and error log if any.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
