I am having the same problem. Ever since I updated to iOS 5 my iPod doesn't appear under iTunes it doesn't even pop up anymore. When I connect it to my PC all it does is charge! A movie rented on an iPhone can only be viewed on an iPhone. If you want to view on TV you need to rent directly on ATV or via computer (and stream using home-sharing)

If you are unable to reset the iPod (assuming the hold switch is not in the On position either), then you'll have to let the iPod's battery fully drain. Then connect it to a charger and leave it to charge for a couple of hours.

Ipod nano is already "named" and it does not show up as a device in Itunes...

I have a brand new ipod nano 7th generation straight out of the box, but it's already named as "Kathi's Ipod". How can I change this name? Plus, I've already synched it with my Itunes account and that worked fine, but it does not show up in Itunes under "devices"????? Please help...

Hi, Yes you are correct in iPhoto Prefernces, Advanced tab editing I used to have iPhoto and "Use external editor.". It changed to iPhoto and iPhoto Library. I have einstaleed PSE 9 and downloaded the update. There is still no lkink to external editor in the drop down box.
