I put my iphone 5 on charge and now its just a blue screen!

I've tried holding the off + home button at the same time! NOTHING. I've tried plugging in to the computer but it doesnt recognize it? Its been like this 5 hours! Should I take it to verzon or what!

Hold sleep/wake button (also the on/off button) + Home button for AT LEAST 30 seconds.  If you've held them for at least 30 seconds and nothing happens, go to the Apple Store or call Apple as suggested.

    Try restarting your Mac.
If that doesn't help, open a Finder window. Select your Home folder (it has a small house icon) in the Sidebar on the left.
Now open the Library folder then the Prefernces folder.
Move the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the Trash. Restart your Mac one more time.

Connect the iPod to a charging source and then try the will not turn on topic of:

If you have a 2G iPod and did not have the iPod connected to a charging source it is likely that the battery fully drained before the erase was complete since it can take hours to do the delete.

  • My ipod died, I put it in the charger and now its not working, Why is it doing this?

I need help, Whats going on !!!???

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPod touch 5th generation isn't working. I plugged it in last night to charge and now its not turning on or responding to anything.  It used to do this thing where it would freeze when it was 100% charged and plugged in and I was using it.  I'd just unplug it, restart it (home button and top button) and then it would be fine.  That had happened like 5 hours prior to me plugging it in again and then it going totally blank.

Connect to your computer, fire up iTunes and do a Restore:  From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore.

    Hello,
    This will fix your problem!
To put the device in DFU mode,
    1. Connect the device to iTunes
    2. Hold both the power button and the home button down simultaneously
    3. After 10 seconds, release the power button but leave the home button pressed
    4. iTunes should then recognize that the device has entered DFU mode and ask to restore.
That should get you back on your way.

  • Okay, so my baby brother had put my iphone in microwave and now it turns on only on the charger, the screen will not work and the date and time has changed, is there any way it can be fixed or how much it would cost

okay so my brother had put my phone in microwave , it now only turns on on charger, the date and time cahnged, but it will not let me use the screen, is there anyway this can be fixed ?or how much it would cost.

I would very much doubt that. The radition level inside a microwave is termendous. I am totally flabbergasted that there is much of it is still that much working.

My iphon isnt charging. I started recharging, when there was 40% charging left. But it didnt work both with USB and wall charger. I am now trying to reboot and reset, but its not working. Just a black scree is appeared. What to do?

Try a different cable to charge, use only a wall charger, clean the dock connector on the bottom of the phone.

It has been doing the same thing the whole night so I dont know what to do? Oh and when I plug it into iTunes, iTunes just tells me theres an error and the iPad wasnt synced, im really worried now so i need help Thanks

    Hello francesca62,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
The following article has some troubleshooting steps for you to go through, specifically steps 5-7.  Even though the title says it's for iPhone, the same information applies to your iPad.
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • Macbook screen spontaniously went dark then bright and now its just very dark and flickering!?

The screen on my white Macbook 2010 has spontaniously dimmed dark and then back to bright then flickered back to dark. Now it just seems to be dark and constantly flickering to the point where i can hardly see anything and can use it at all??
    please help

Hey did you get an answer yet because my Macbook is also having the same problem.
The screen just goes black when I either turn my computer on or let it Sleep or clamshell it.  It turns on for a split second then goes black.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377
But that only covers for Macbook Pro. I took it to the store today and they confirmed it's only for Macbook Pro, although it's obviously the same problem.

  • HT1430 i recieved an ipod touch 2nd generation as a gift and they have reset it to factory settings and now its stuck on a screen showing an adaptor with itunes music symbol on it. I do not know where to go from here.

I recieved an apple ipod touch 2nd generation as a gift and they have reset it to factory settings and now it is stuck on a screen with an adaptor showing with the itunes music symbol at the top of the screen.

    Restore...
Connect via cable to the computer that you intend to use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore and you have IOS-6 or lower, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • I've deleted Wheel in Macintosh HD permissions and now I receive a blue screen at Start up

    Details:
    Mac Book Pro
    Snow Leopard OSX 10.6.8
    Problem:
I was looking at Macintosh HD (ctrl-i) and saw "wheel" under permissions.
I foolishly deleted "Wheel" (command delete) from permissions.
I got the processing icon aka beach ball.
I may have clicked something in frustration because Color (Adobe?) popped up. This may be nothing.
I tried to force quit (command-option-esc), no luck.
I held power button down, computer shuts off, I wait, I turn on.
The apple and gray screen with loading symbol (gear) then blue screen with loading symbol followed by light blue screen.
    Blue then lightblue repeats.
    What I've tried:
I try loading in safe mode. (shift)
    Blue Screen.
    Restarting (command+p+r and other).
    Blue Screen.
Using 10.5.4 install disk > Disk Utility > Hard Drive permissions Check, Verify, Repair.
    Blue Screen.
Also Change password > reset ACLs etc. first Macintosh HD, then Root.
    Blue Screen.
I tried using a small external HD and booted from 10.5.4, tried updating to 10.6 but no.
I don't have Snow Lepord. No backups (2T external died).
Anyway to just replace the OS and keep my data without 10.6.X disk and not have to backup and install down to 10.5?
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
