I put on ipod on my other computer and it will not let me download my music
I used to use my desktop computer then I went to put the music from my Ipod to my laptop and it said that my computer was not authorize and i could not find how to authorize computer. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

Be sure you are connected to the internet. Go to iTunes. Click the Store Menu and choose "Authorize Computer..." and enter your iTunes account name and password. If you forgot your account name, check it on your old computer. If you forgot your password, use the "Forgot Password?" button.
If you plan to no longer use your desktop, do not forget to deauthorize it (iTunes>Store>Deauthorize computer...), because you can only authorize 5 computers at a time. If you plan to use both computers, leave it authorized.

I have had iTunes on my computer, which is not an apple poducts for about 6 or 7yrs now, just recently it will not let me play the music I have downloaded. I get a error message stating this computer is not registered. So I put in the information to register it, and it tells me that this computer is already registered. But I still can't play my music, the error message just keeps popping up. Can anyone help me?
Check the information on the song, Right-Click -> Get Info.
In the fist pane, (Summary), you will see the AppleId (Account Name) that was used to buy the song.
Be sure to login to use this account to register this computer to play the song
What I often see, Is that people have many different AppleID, sometime not even knowing it, which is a big problem. -
I have an older version of iTunes on my office computer and it will not allow me to upgrade to the newer version without an administrative password. How can I get around this???
If you have an iBook G4, (PPC) you can't do much.
But if that is a MacBook (intel) you may be able to

That'd be a first step. Or even the Model number
which should be visible on the outer case by hinge.

I just got this new ipod 3. I plugged it into the computer and i have itunes and it updated to the IOS 4.2.1 and now i have downloaded the IOS 4.3 to my computer but now how do i down load it to my ipod. ? when i open up itunes with my ipod and click summary below the picture is said backups and options. But nothing about updates. Please help ASAP!
If you can't download using your phone, then just download it from Itunes and then sync your phone.

I am using a pc with windows 7 and I also installed itunes, but when I want to sync it tells me that it can only sync to one computer, and that syncing would erase all the data on the ipod touch. I need to get pictures, videos and music off my ipod touch.

but I am not worried about any music on my ipod touch, I have not even ever purchased a song from itunes, but only copied my own personal music cds.

I have recently purchased the ipod classic and and Ipad. After syncing my ipod with my laptop I cannot eject the ipod the message that appear is - cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in us by another application - does any one know why this is. I do have some music in my itunes which is part of my husbands library but he has authorised my laptop to use his music.Have you looked at the previous discussions listed on the right side of this page under the heading "More Like This"?

when i try to sync my music, it gives me the option of erasing content from ipad (which i do not want to do). it will not give me the option to move the music to computer from ipad. when i try to transfer purchases, it is only tranfering apps.

FCP X doesn't show up on my 'Purchases' in the App Store. I have 10.0.6. I'd like to use it on my other computer and would prefer not to copy it to do this. Thanks.
Turns out I had to 'unhide' purchases. I unhid before but FCP X still didn't show up. I had to sign out then sign back in for some reason. Afterwhich I had to unhide from the iCloud box within the App Store. Worked.

It does not magically appear in a new place. It will only be where you put it.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
