While runnnig the rda.sh, i am getting the below mentioned error.
Error: Perl not found in the PATH or in known directory locations.
Although the default RDA engine requires Perl, compiled versions
without Perl requirements are available for major platforms. Please
download the platform-specific RDA engine from MetaLink and place
within the top directory of your RDA installation.

I am trying to collect RDA for Cash Management.
I ran Oracle Diagnostic tool using SYSADMIN.
selected Cash Management filled the form providing Responsibility ID, Application Shortname , apps username and password.

when i am creating infopckage check box is disable for real time data?
U have to create TWO infopackages, one for Initialize Delta Process, and other for Real Time load...
Tricky thing here is, before creating Real_Time infopackage, u should load data through first infopackage (Initialize Delta Process).... Then only real time check box is enabled

RDA for Transactional Data Changes (But needs to load as Master Data to IO)

Hi,
I would like to use RDA to load Data changes into IO (Not for DSO).
I tried using this, i can able to load data into PSA. But, from PSA to IO, No datapackage is getting transfered. i.e. Transfered records = 0.
We considered several options i.e. remote cubes etc. We need to implement RDA.
Note: I have gone through the Documentation on RDA. Which SAP mentioned, RDA won't support for Master Data if we have aggregates. We don't have any Aggregates build on my cubes.

RDA DTP is used for supplying data to the Data Store Objects but not to the Master data infoobjects...

Difference between RDA delta and normal Delta

I have some doubts regarding the RDA [Real Time data Acquisition] process I am aware that RDA enables us to get the data every minute with help of Daemon process.What is the diffrence between th delta mechanism that is followed in RDa and normal dataflow.

RDA is Real Time Data Acquisition . In this We can retrieve Live data . While using Normal DTP We can t pull live data
For example :- Today We have Create a 50 orders . This 50 order information pulled after completion of sales order creation . we can t see live . But RDA process pulled the data at the point of sales order creation it self ,It support only Stranded DSO .It will use Some industries like FMCG.Retail,banking sector they want to know current data information from BI Side then RDA.

BI 7.0 Question on RDA (Real Time Data Acquisition)

Those who have all implemented RDA (real Time Data Acquisition) in BI 7.0, could you please tell me if this is limited to only a few of the extractors or available to all the business content extractors. Reason I ask this question is I read that if you have PI_BASIS 2005.1 then RDA is possible, but when I go into ROOSOURCE table in R/3 I do not see the Real time flag checked for any of the transactional Businees content extractors!!
Also does this mean that we need to set this flag manually and if so is this supported by SAP? please throw in expert your responses...

RDA Requirements

Dear Gurus,
I currently have an ECC 5.0 R/3 system connected to BW 3.5 and running perfectly on major business areas like sales, inventory, purchasing, FI/COPA etc.
I am in the process of implementing BI 7.0 as a separate server connected to the same ECC 5.0 R/3 system and intend to use the same datasources currently linked to the BW 3.5 system.
The requirement is that we will be expensively using RDA for the BI 7.0 extraction and current PI_BASIS component in R/3 is 2004_1_640 at level 10. I suppose this level does not support RDA and I need to upgrade PI_BASIS to the next version.
The question is would it affect the existing data sources and delta which are already mapped to the BW 3.5 server if I upgrade the PI_BASIS plugin to a version that supports RDA on the R/3 source swystem?

How you say that they created in bw side? its standard data source.
Above data source might be loaded from source(data services), in that case replication is mandatory.
Take your colleagues help and follow the manual work if program was not working.
List the available data sources, divide the list and assign work to other bw consultants.
start working as manual activation.
Please try this once.
Replicate your data source in RSDS version.
Later run above program, select inactive objects and enter data source name.
execute in background and see. it may works.

RDA method to extract MAster Data from R/3

We need to implement the way to extract the Master Data from R/3 As soon as it available in R/3, but it's not like the new MAster Data is loaded in R/3 every 5 minutes, it's more like 3 o 4 times a month and i thought about RDA method, just wanted to see you opinion on wheather it is a good option for such an infrequent loads to BW
Does this DAEMON eats a lot of system resources? Pleas if the answer could be provided by someone who actually use RDA, it be great!

Hi,
We use RDA for systems where the load is very frequent, but a Process Chain would do the required in your case as the data gets updated only a few times in a month.
RDA will be occupied in the Background Process, so that would create some problems. And it keeps on chiecking for new data.
I feel its unnecessary. So, go for Process Chains

RDA and MAX

Dear community,
I have a short question on a strange behavior of vi containing legacy DAQ functions.
I need to start NI MAX first before launching Labview and vi files, otherwise
loading hangs up at /DAQ/lvdaq.dll. Any traditional DAQ channels cannot be created on the front panel,
any data acquisition vi cannot be used.
Also, without staring MAX first, I cannot open Labview example vis in "daq" folder.
It seems somehow that lvdaq.dll cannot be loaded properly.
However, if I delete a legacy device created RDA needed for data acquisition, then everything works without any issues.
Would you tell me how to fix this problem?

Thank you for your message.
A PCI-6014 DAQ card is on a remote computer and I'd like to access to this card through RDA for a simple analog input measurement.
I could recognize this card on a client computer and a test on MAX was also fine.
If I close MAX and try to open a Labview vi file which contains NI-DAQ functions, loading always hangs up at /DAQ/lvdaq.dll.
In another example, If I create a NI-DAQ channel on a blank front panel, Labview itself got frozen.
However, if MAX is launched first, then these problems never show up.
My guess is that loading lvdaq.dll has a problem.
If you need more info to fix this issue, please let me know.

How do you configure multiple PXI 1011 chassis' in MAX?

I have two PXI 1011 chassis'. The first has the MXI-3 card hooked to a MXI-3 PC card through fiber. The second chassis has an 8176 controller and the 6052e GPIB card. Both chassis have multiple SCXI cards. The problem is the configuration in MAX. MAX 3 picks up the MXI-3 card and chassis with all the SCXI modules, but will not pick up the 8176 chassis. This 8176 is hooked to the PC through a CAT5 ethernet switch.I know there are problems with multiple chassis configuration, but I'm sure I'm just missing something here.

It sounds like you are trying to configure your PXI-8176 system as a Remote System through an Ethernet connection. Is your PXI-8176 running Windows (if so which version) or Real-Time (RT) operating system?
If you are running Windows XP on the PXI-8176 and also on your computer you can use XP Remote Desktop to control your PXI-8176 system through Ethernet (see the following link for information on that):

How do you configure multiple appservers in iisproxy.ini?

I am coming from the WebSphere world, and trying to figure out this whole WebLogic
thing. The problem I am having is for the weblogic plugin for IIS. In WebSphere,
the plugin was proxied by path and port #. I setup an iisproxy.ini and got it
working for one appserver, but when I went to add another one of our appservers,
I couldn't get it to work.
What I have is:

Script or tool to collect/discover/explore informations about a database

Hi there!
We have a new customer who already has Oracle databases running. In this project we have to take over the servers and databases. So in future we are responsible for the databases. To operate these foreign databases we have to know and document them an their configuration in a first inventory-step.
My question now is are there any scripts or tools that do this discovery of fundamental information, for example like tablespaces, users, datafiles, usage statistics, performance parameters.
I know there's a tool called "remote diagnostic agent" (rda) but I don't know if this fits my needs.

OK, maybe it's the best to use RDA for that matter. I already thought about it but that solution dosn't have that charme as a nice small script which gives me the information i need to get a quick overview.

Well, it's not a problem to write a script which collects all these data by getting them out of the database repository. But I think you would agree with me that it's verry senseless to put some effort in developing something if someone has already done that. And as I'm not shure if I have all information I need it's a good help to orientate at a work of experienced dbas.
Would it be to cheeky to ask you if you want to share your script solution?
