You may be referring to the "Oleg Pliss" hack (not a virus), in which some people (mostly in Australia and New Zealand) have had their Apple IDs hacked and used to remotely lock their iOS devices. If that's what you read about, be sure that you are using a strong password on your Apple ID, and consider enabling two-factor authentication on your Apple ID to make it difficult or impossible for a hacker to take it away from you.
If you live in Australia or New Zealand, it may be worthwhile to turn off Find My iPad on your iPad, at least until the cause of the problem has been determined. Of course, that reduces the protections against theft. You'd be better off to just make sure you're keeping the iPad backed up, so you can restore it if it happens to get locked.

I got an Itunes card and when I loaded it itunes downloaded an album that I did not order; so my question is how did this happen and how do I find out how much this album costs cause I would like to get my money back.

My wife got me an iTunes card today and as soon as I redeemed it a music album that I did not order downloaded and deducted the cost from my iTunes card. I did this happen and how can I get my money back? I do not listen to the type of music that was downloaded and feel like I was robbed in a way cause the only way things are suppose to download is if I click on them and enter my password. Relax, they weren't converted to PDF.
You can tell by right clicking ANY of them and choosing "Properties". You'll see there that they're STILL .xls or .xlsx files. The "association" has changed and Windows now indicates that they open with Reader, which isn't right.
Where it says "Open With" under the General tab, you can click "Change" and re-select Excel as the default app to open thim.

When I finish my work I turn off the imac and then again when they return to work and care, it can not connect to Time Capsule Airport, making it impossible to remove the files and make back up by Time Machine only works when I turn off and turn on the Airport Time Capsule , but I think this may end up with the unit. Estou tendo dificuldades com a minha Airport Time Capsule, fiz todas as configurações de acordo com o manual, mas tem existido um problema de conexão com meu iMac. Quando termino meus trabalhos desligo o imac e depois quando retorno pra trabalhar novamente e ligo, ele não se conecta a Airport Time Capsule, impossibilitando retirar os arquivos e fazer o back-up pelo Time Machine, só funciona quando desligo e ligo a Airport Time Capsule, mas acho que isso pode acabar com o aparelho. In the airport utility bring up your Time Capsule.

Please also make sure you are set to ipv6 in your wireless or ethernet .. whichever is used.. and do tell which.
This is wifi in your computer.
The following are important..
DO not use long names with spaces and non-alphanumeric names.
Use short names, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
eg TC name. TCgen5
Wireless name TCwifi
Use WPA2 Personal security with 10-20 character pure alphanumeric password.
read apple instructions to help with TM and TC.. they did finally admit it has issues in Mavericks.

Why would this happen and how can I get it resolved? I have since tried to remove and reinstall the iCloud application in my computer's control panel. I have verified that I am using the latest Apple operating system and the latest iTunes. I have reset my photo stream. Not sure what else to try... I was also having an issue with my calendar where it would sync from my computer to my iPhone but not vice versa. Somehow in all the resetting that's resolved, but the photo issue is not. Again - photos are going into the photostream, but not wirelessly being put into the file on my computer.

To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

This issue has nothing to do with Time Machine or local snaphsots. No built-in feature of OS X does what you describe.

Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then either copy or drag it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. She is making in app purchases. Probably not knowing what that means to your monthly credit card bill. Use the Settings app to enable restrictions and turn on restrictions for iTunes, App Store and in app purchases, mabe some others too. The restrictions will be set with a passcode to prevent your daughter from changing them.

My macbook pro keeps getting stuck on a black screen with a visible cursor, why is this happening and how do i fix this?

I have a mid-2009 13" Macbook Pro running OS X 10.9.4 and I've been noticing a problem lately (I think it used to happen before too but not as often as now). My screen will sometimes go black, and my cursor remains visible. It will stay like this, regardless of button mashing or trackpad tapping and clicking. It usually doesn't stay for too long but the other day it was staying like that for a good 5 minutes before switching back to the password-enter screen. It happens sometimes when the computer goes to sleep but sometimes it suddenly happens in the middle of use, stopping whatever I'm doing and locking me out for a few minutes. I want to know why this happens and how to prevent it from happening (or perhaps there just needs to be a patch?). What is particularly strange is that my girlfriend just bought a brand new Macbook Air and she already has the same exact problem as me.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
