I really want a free app from the UK but I don't live there. How can I get it?
Look, I'm from the US and I found an app that is only available in the UK and I would really like it. Is it possible I can get the app? Its a free app apple. Really.

It's not a matter of the app being free. The issue is that your credit or debit card account must be associated withe the same country where you reside. Even if you don't have a credit or debit card on file with Apple, you can only purchase iTunes media from your own country.

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Siri always contacts her own server at apple. They may be performing maintenance or applying updates, should be back soon.

iTunes Match! Activate it (it's about 20$ a year) and all your music will be moved to iCloud. It will be in your iTunes library and iPhone Music app, but it will actually physically be in iCloud. iTunes Match then removes it from your iPhone, saving lots of space, and you can (if you need) delete it manually from your Mac HD. But do keep a copy somewhere, on an external HD or something. Even if it's iCloud , you never know!

Some apps do indeed come off the market. The vendor stops selling or supporting them for whatever reason.

See if the app is still in the App Store. If so, you can download it. If not, it is gone. -
I have 2 Itunes accts. from previous Iphones. I now want to put the music, apps, etc onto my new phone from both accounts. When I sync one account to my new phone and try to sync the other items from my 2nd account - it wants to erase all of the items I synced from the 1st account. Please help! ????
There is no solution other than getting all of your content into a single iTunes library. By design, iPhone syncs or manually manages with one computer/iTunes account at a time.

I wanted to back up my phone as have bought a new 6 so went to settings I cloud then back up but it wouldn't turn on . I went in to view the backups and it wasn't done since September last year , then I clicked on my phone detail and made a mistake of pressing delete back up . the phone now isn't listed just my ipad which is linked to the phone . So how can I back this phone up please and perhaps restore the phone detail in backups

Transferring files over from the hard drive of a previous computer. How can I get my library back?
A couple weeks ago, my old, old laptop finally breathed its last breath and shut off suddenly while I was using it. Various parts of it were broken anyway so I got a new one rather than try to figure out what was wrong with it. All of my files were totally undamaged since it wasn't a hard drive issue, so I just got one of those enclosure things where you unscrew your old hard drive, stick it into the enclosure, plug it into your new computer with a USB cord, and then can drag all your old files onto the new computer.
I could get all my old music back this way by dragging those folders, but if I want to get my library back -- specifically, my playlists, and ideally my info on play counts/date added/etc -- is there a way that I can do that? Is there some "Library" file, series of files, or folder that I can drag onto my new laptop in order to get those things back without having to recreate all my playlists and lose my play info?
Have been running Windows 7 on both my old and current laptop, and was using iTunes version 10.7.0.21, if that information is necessary. Can give you whatever other info you'd need. Thanks!1. If you were upgrading from below 5 to 5.1.1, you likely disconnected the iPad from your computer and iTunes before the full upgrade completed. It's actually a lengthy process to rebuild your app library on the cloud and then replicate them fully on your iPad.
So, connect your iPad to your computer and in iTunes, when your iPad is found on the left side of the iTunes screen, click your iPad's name once to open it in iTunes. Then, click on Apps and choose the apps (either all Apps or just those you want with a check mark). Click apply on the lower right hand side of the iTunes screen then Sync to build a backup. -

Please review your account information." When I click Review, then I click continue, I Agree to the terms and conditions, then it wants me to enter my credit card number! BUT ITS FREE!!!!!

Is there a way to manually manage apps? I have lots of apps that I don't want on my iphone all the time, but I don't want to delete them from my itunes account permanently.
Deleting apps on your phone does not remove them from your account. They can be re-downloaded for free from the App Store, or synced from your computer as needed.
The easiest way to manage apps is to connect to iTunes on your computer, go to the Apps page of your device in iTunes, select which apps to remove, then sync.
