I receive an error when attempting to distribute a new form

I saw this post at some point with no answers. My error states, "The filename you specified is not valid because it does not include a .pdf extension, contains one or more invalide characters or the path preceding it refers to a protected system location". I am choosing to manually collect responses in my email inbox and to distribute it by sending it automatically using Adobe Acrobat; however, i've tried to other response and distribute options and get the same error. My file name is TestForm.pdf and I have save both a Static PDF (*.pdf) version and a dynamic xml pdf version to trouble shoot. All options still get me the same result when using the distribute wizard. Also, I have Administrator rights to my C: and netword drives, so there's no permission (path) error, no invalid characters issue and it has a pdf extension. - Angela

I have not. I think it was answered, but I had to find another solution. Waiting months for someone to answer from Adobe was not an option for me.

I have an HP Officejet Pro L7590. It worked fine on my previous HP computer with Windows XP PRO. I got an HP computer wiht Windows 7 Pro and updated the driver and it worked as well. At some point I started getting the following message and now can't open the HP Solution Center. I tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling.
I gave up and used my Sony Laptop with Windows 7 Pro and it worked for 2 years but now I have a different message on that computer which I will address if we can fix this one first.

Missing points + error when attempting to report them with form

Heya, I made a substantial purchase (multiple appliances) on the website on June 15 and the points aren't showing up in any way (pending or other). When I try to fill in the form for missing points, I get this message "The information entered doesn't match our records. If the purchase was made in the past few hours, please try again later.". And, obviously, the purchase was made many weeks ago, so that's not the problem. Where do I go from here? Thanks.

Hi Stina,
it really gets complicated if you want to live in your own world. At some places you just have to change delivered settings. At places where customers need to change something normally the settings the customer did are kept after an SP import.
But you should create your own objects wherever possible.
You should also use the export feature to save your config settings somewhere else.
If you really want to have a totally new "Default"Properties structure, you at least have to edit the delivered "DefaultPropertiesStructure" and remove the "**" from the Resource Type paramter.
It works about this:
If you create a new resource, it is of a special Resource Type, the "normal_rt"
If you create your own resource type (myown_rt), users can decide during creation/upload of new resources that the new document is of type myown_rt.
At the PropertyStructure (PS) you now can define for which resource types this property structure is used and in what situations. If you enter ** in the resource type paramter the PS is used for all resource type. I you enter myown_rt it is used only for your own rt.
With the parameter Display Modes you decide in what situations the PropertyStructure will be displayed (during creation/upload, during display, during editing).
This means, the easy way is to add your new property to the DefaultPropertiesStructure or into a Property Group which is referenced in this structure. You export this setting, to have it available if after an upgrade it would be overwritten, which should not be the case.
The middle way is creating your own PropertyStructure and changing the DefaultPropertyStructure only a bit (removing the **).
The hard way is first creating your own ResourceType and afterwards all the rest.
I suggest the easy way...

I'm having the same problem. I just bought an album from my iPhone and when I select "Transfer purchases", I get the same message.

Acrobat 11.0.7 electronic signature error, "There was an error when attempting to commit this signature".

Since updating to Acrobat 11.0.7, the electronic signature function has broken. Users receive an error message when trying to insert an electronic signature "There was an error when attempting to commit this signature. The document was not saved. The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder. The document could not be signed. HFT error. This file is already open or in use by another application."
Error occurs even after saving the PDF locally and renaming. This issue is affecting multiple users and has never occurred in previous versions of Acrobat installed. Temporary workaround is to rollback users to Acrobat 11.0.6.

"Unknown Error" when attempting to publish through Muse

I recently updated my log in information to better organize log in credentials that I currently have deployed. I edited just the basic email and password as well as adding another one of my alternate email addresses. When I did that the ability to manage the site I have published through muse disappeared through the website interface. I also am receiving an "Unknown Error" when attempting to publish from the Muse application itself. Log in credentials are definitely updated and correct, just not sure where the others went.
Any help in the right direction is appreciated!

Seems that your Microsoft Office Document cache is corrupted. please try deleting cache folder :
Clear the Microsoft Office Document Cache by opening the Upload Center->Settings->Delete cached files.
Clear the Office File Cache at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\14.0\OfficeFileCache.
Clear the Office File Cache at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\OfficeFileCache.

Error analysis

Only related SDN post is following, but solved by changing permissions for saposcol.
Only related SAP Note is SAP Note Number 597743 "DB02: Poor entries for critical objects list", but not applicable for current SAP version.
For me strange is that this issue occurs on the development system, but not on the acceptance and production system.

Received the solution from SAP Active Global Support:
This error occurs due a corruption in the table MONI.
For solving this issue you need to clean the records of this table via the following path :
1. Call transaction ST03
2. With GOTO -> Performance database -> Content of database
3. Push button Delete data group
4. Enter ID DB
5. Continue
6. Confirm the delete
If you wish to backup the data before deleting the entry please follow the steps in the note 1000275 "DB02: history data backup procedure".

When you are using the Internal ITS,you need not run the report W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES.(only SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INT )
ALso pls check the foll:
-->activate the services through SICF tcode.
> Go to SICF transaction and activate the whole tree under the node Deafult host>sap>bc>gui>sap>its.
>Also maintain the settings in SE80>utilities>settings>internet transactuon server-->test service/Publish.
Table TWPURLSVR should have entries for the / SRM server line as well as gui and web server.
Could you please review again the following steps ?
Did you check that ICM was working correctly (TA SMICM) ?
1-Activate the necessary ICF services
With transaction SICF and locate the
services by path
/sap/public/bc/its/mimes
/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
2- Publish the IAC Services
With Transaction SE80 locate from
the menu Utilities -> Settings ->
Internet Transaction Server (Tab) ->
Publish (Tab) and set On Selected
Site = INTERNAL.
3- Locate the Internet Services SYSTEM and WEBGUI.
Publish these services with the Context
Menu -> Publish -> Complete Service
4- Browse to http://<server>:<icmport>/sap/bc/gui/
sap/its/webgui/! and login to the
webgui.

Hi All - After the upgrade, I am getting SP-Crawl Error for certain links. I check the Crawl component has proper permission.
Google is showing some article like

Right click the filename that won't download and selsct 'Get Info'. Look at the file path, does it have a //?// in it? That is a problem with Amazon downloads that prevent iTunes from finding the file. Use 'Add Folder' to add the album to your library and try syncing it again

I'm sorry to hear your conversion process has stalled. It sounds as though the problem isn't specific to one file, as you've been unable to convert anything since the first four chapters converted successfully.
So, let's try this:
If you're converting via the ExportPDF website, please log out, clear the browser cache, and then log back in. If you're using Reader, please choose Help > Check for Updates to make sure that you have the most current version installed.
