  • I have set up another account with a different email which is not mine. AN email has been sent to this email to verify the account, how do i stop this being created?

I have set up another itunes account by accident. I do not have access to this email as it must belong to someone else. An email verification to set up a new account has been sent to this email know. How do I stop this account from being created?

To change accounts on your Mac, go to System Preferences, sign out of the current account, then sign into the new account.  When you sign out of the current account it will delete synced data from your Mac.  Assuming your data (such as contacts, calendars, etc.) is in the other iCloud account, it will be synced to your Mac when you sign into this account.

whenever I open the mail application a flurry of past emails appears from nowhere. How do I stop this happening ?

    1. If by flurry of emails you mean they all appear opened as if clicked on.
    2. Or do you mean your inbox fills up with a whole lot of 'new' unread emails downloaded from the server, so that if you delete them they return next time you open Mail.
If it is 1. Press (three keys) Option + Command + W
This will close all mail windows including the inbox.
Then press (two keys) Command + 1
    to return the inbox.
That should stop any flurry next time you open Mail
If 2., Open Mail Preferences > Accounts (select the account in question if there is more than one), click on Advanced, and where it says remove copy from server after retrieving message, select that choice and click Remove now.

  • I have a 3g iphone and just now started getting a pop up from icloud to enter password for my email and face time? How do i stop this

i have a 3g iphone.  I dowloaded Icloud months ago.  I have just today started getting popups on my phone to ...Sign in to ICloud... Enter the apple ID password for "my email address that i use on my iphone".
Is this a virus? And how do i stop this madness.

How did you download iCloud with an iPhone 3G?
Accessing an iCloud account is not supported with an iPhone 3G.
There are no viruses that affect or infect iOS, unless you have purposely jailbroken/hacked your iPhone which removes all built in security included with iOS allowing you to download unofficial apps from unknown and untrusted sources which can include malware.
Don't remember where you access your Apple ID with the App Store with iOS 4 which is the latest version for an iPhone 3G, but have you checked there? If so, try logging out of your Apple ID followed by logging back in with the iTunes App Store.

My ipod Touch keeps on crashing. Started when using Echofon/FB, but now does it on email, apps, games, Google etc. How do I stop this happening? Thanks

    Try here:
iOS: Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store
    Also try:
    - Resetting the iPod. nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restoring the iPod from backup
    - Restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • HT4528 My phone will not send me the email to verify my iCloud account, how do I get this to happen?

I first got my iphone 5 in July and I set my phone but my iCloud account would not verify so I have tried to delete the account and do it again but it will not send me the email I need to verify my account. So please someone help me with this. Thanks

    Hi Belinda80!
I have an article for you that can help you address this issue:
I cannot sign in to the iCloud Preferences pane on my Mac due to an alert stating that my email address has not been verified.
If you cannot sign in due to an alert stating "Account not verified - Check your email for instructions for verifying your account":
Close and reopen the iCloud Preferences pane before logging in again.
If that does not resolve the issue, check your email folder and Junk folder for a verification email sent from Apple.
If there is no verification email in your email folder or Junk folder, click the Resend Verification Email button on the iCloud Preferences pane.

  • I have a mac and when I read my emails, I find that emails are automatically rolled up into one, attaching all the emails under one 'group'.  How do I stop this grouping?

I check my emails on my mac, but find that emails which form part of an ongoing discussion, or where I have just clicked Reply to an existing email in my inbox (as opposed to creating a new email from scratch and rekeying an email address or using my contact book) all group together.  So when I am looking for en email that I know I received say on a Friday, it will be grouped under another email that I received today, simply because I am emailing that same person - even it is about something entirely different.
Is there a change of settings I can do so that every email appears as a standalone (boring I know but this suits my fling style!)
    Any guidance appreciated!
PS It is Mac OS X, version 10.7.5

If you go to View Menu in Mail, you can uncheck "Organize by Conversation" - I believe it is checked by default.

  • HT204053 Naive question I know but here goes. One apple ID, multiple apple IOS devices (touch/pad/phone). Books purchased via Kindle sync to ALL devices via iCloud. How can I stop this? I want to separate each of the family's reading prefernces from the d

    Naive question but here goes.
As a family we have one Apple ID. All devices are synced via my PC and backed up to it rather than to iCloud.
Books purchased via Kindle App appear on all the devices within the "cloud" option. How do I separate each reader's prefernce to their own device? I want to make sure that the younger one's dont have access to anything unsuitable.
    Thanks.

You can have one AppleID for your purchases so that all teh devices can use all the apps without having to buy them again, and at the same time, have different iCloud accounts for each user so that their content is not intermingled with everyone else's.  You can even go so far as to have your iCloud Account enabled for "Find my iPhone" for each of the other devices allowing you to keep track of where tehy are when they get misplaced.
If you need/want, you can share iCloud Calendars between different iCloud accounts as well.  This is exactly what my wife & I have done.  We share calendars so I know when she has classes or dog competitions, and she can see my work schedule so she knows what nights I have to be in late, etc.

  • I have trouble adding attachments to my emails in my yahoo-account - how do I fix this ? When I try the same files on a PC it does work...

Since a few days I am no longer able to attach certain files (ppt, pdf, jpeg) in my emails on my yahoo-account.  I click the attach button, go to my file and select it - and then the signal keeps running and running, and the file doesn't attach.  Sometines I get an error message, but not always.  The files are not very big ones (3 or 4 MB) - well below the 25 MB that is the maximum.  Some files do attach - I cannot figure out why the others don't.
When I use my husband's PC, I can attach the "problematic" files without any trouble. When I work with gmail on my Mac, again no problem.
I tried the help desk of yahoo, but they could not solve my problem up til now.  Is this a Mac problem, or a yahoo-problem ? I don't know where to look for a solution, but at this point I am pretty desparate because I cannot work without both !
Has anyone a suggestion what I can do about this ?
    Thx !!!!

Are there any dialog boxes popping up behind your Yahoo screen?
I have intermittent problems attaching files in Yahoo mail and this is usually the reason.  I'm also using an iMac (10.7.3) and this is likely the problem.
It is generally a Yahoo issue rather than a Mac problem.

  • My email keeps deleting me mail how can i stop this?

how do i stop my emails from deleting themselves from my mailbox

If you delete an email from your computer it will be deleted from your iPhone when you next open the iPhone's mail app.
If you delete an email from your iPhone it will be deleted from your computer when you next open your computer's mail app.
That is the way the IMAP mail protocol is designed to work. The deleted emails should still be in your Trash folder on your computer, and if you open the Trash folder on your iPhone it should sync.
If you don't want your emails deleted from iPhone or computer but don't want them in your inbox create a folder on your computer for Saved Mail, and, instead of deleting email, move it to Saved Mail.
If you don't want it to work this way then delete the mail account and add it back as a POP3 account. POP3 does not sync, but also does not support folders and will require that you delete all emails twice to get rid of them.

  • TS4337 my scroll bar continues to scroll up to the top when I'm in the daily or weekly view of ICloud calendar - how do I stop this?

When I am using the Icloud calendar on my PC in the daily or weekly view, my scroll bar on the right continues to move up to the top of the page.  This has just happened today so I'm sure I pushed something on my keyboard.  I have restarted my system, disconnected then reconnected my keyboard but to no avail.  Any suggestions?

If you're using Chrome as your browser, try increasing the font size in your browser settings (see https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/96810?hl=en).

  • My phone is receiving the messages from another phone connected to my account, how do I stop this/

My cousin has an Iphone and we share an Itunes account. I am recieving the messages between her and her friend. Is there a way to stop the messages from being shared?

You have to use different Apple IDs for iMessage to prevent this.  Decide which of you will be changing, the on the one that is changing go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (Receive At if on iOS 5), tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID.  You can continue to share the same ID for purchasing if you want (in Settings>iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6 or Settings>Store in iOS 5).

  • My email account has been hacked and my address book has been used to send unsolicitated emails to all my contacts, how can I stop this activity

My email account has been hacked and my address book has been used to send unsolicitated emails to all my contacts.

    First of all
Run windows in safe mode (with network) and change your password on your email account.
    Then
run several anti-malware programs (there are many free ones, but not all are trustworthy)
    Malwarebyte >> http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
    Microsoft Safety Scanner >> http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
    Windows Defender >> http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/using-defender
    Spybot >> http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
    Kasperky >> http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan
    Rootkit scanner TDSS-Killer >> http://support.kaspersky.com/5350
And when all is clean, change password for your email account again.
