My Folder - Mail in folders but cannot access
I transfered email to my folders and it shows that the mail count. Yet I cannot access them when I select he folder.
You have to access your folders from the My Folders section on the left-hand side, not the folder management page. You can't access any folders directly from the folder management page.
If the section is collapsed (meaning you see the My Folders heading but not your folders underneath it), try clicking on the little arrow next to it. (Should look like a triangle that is pointing towards the heading when collapsed, and pointing down when expanded.)

IPad receives mail just fine, but cannot send mail
I am using a POP3 server with shaw (the server for both incoming and outgoing mail is shawmail.vc.shawcable.net) and, as stated in the title, my iPad will not send any mail. It refuses to interact with the SMTP server. It says "Cannot Send Mail The connection to the outgoing server "shawmail.vc.shawcable.net" failed. Additional Outgoing Mail Servers can be configured in Settings > Mail, Contacts Calendars."
I have already tried everything that I have found already suggested on these forums and others, including inputting both a username and password for the SMTP server, changing the port to 25, and restarting my iPad after each of these changes. All of the settings on the iPad match those on my mail program perfectly (which works without a hitch, and has been for some time now.) I am connected by Wi-Fi to my home network, the exact same router I use to get my mail on my personal computer.
One other detail: whenever I change the settings for the SMTP server in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, it says that the SMTP server does not support password verification, which is just plain untrue. What is wrong with my iPad?What did your email provider, Shaw, say or suggest about settings needed for the iPad?

I am trying to connect my ipad to a wifi network at my work so I can access the internet. It connects to the network fine, but I can't get on the internet. I'm not sure what info you need in order to help me, so please let me know, and I will provide you with what I can! Thanks.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.

Suddenly on both my iPhone and iPad I cannot access my AOL mail. It tells me my user name or password are incorrect. Yet I have no trouble accessing from other devices. This occurred randomly in the middle of the night. I'd done nothing different or unusual. I've tried re-starting both devices, tried deleting and re-installing my account information. Hmm... looks like this is an issue for that email provider for some reason.
A user in a bt.com forums recommends turning off Push Emails settings.

It could be a simple problem that needs a reset for the related devices. Other than that, try to control the security settings and passwords of your home network. You might be using WEP password protocol to connect your home network. Try to use WPA protocol instead of WEP. Maybe it will help to solve your problem.

When I go to access my albums from any app on my phone or iPad, I cannot access the iCloud albums, only the albums synced with iTunes/iPhoto manually. This is frustrating because I cannot add to those albums from mobile device, I have to add to them during a Mac sync. I would like to be able to use my iCloud albums to organize my photos but if I cannot access them from apps it seems pointless. I will end up having to maintain both an iCloud library and a separate iPhoto library which is more work that seems necessary. I want everything easy to organize and access. It seems like in this age where most people are more likely to use their mobile devices than their Macs (and some do not even own Macs) that there should be a mobile solution. Hopefully I am simply without a clue and you folks can help me out with a fix or a source of info as a solution. I have not found answers yet.
