I received a $25 iTunes gift card when cashing in my Air Miles points and when removing the label on the back or the card (which had tape over top of it) there is a number missing from the 16 digit number.  What do I do?

I received a $ 25 iTunes gift card - when I cashed in some air miles points.  Unfortunately the label on the back was covered in tape and when I tried to remove the tape and the label I found that there were only 15 numbers out of the sixteen.  How can I find out what the number/letter is that is missing?  If I provide you with the GCA # will that help?

What e-mail are you talking about?
    What exactly did it say?
Are you sure that the e-mail was not your receipt?

  • HT1689 i have a balance left on an itunes gift card but had to create a new account when i got an iphone- is there any way of retrieving that unused balance?

i have credit left on an itune gift card - that used to just show up wheniturned my computeron- but ihad tocreate a new account wheni got an iphone_ is there anyway toretrive that unused balance?/

You can't transfer gift card credits from one account to another. You'll have to sign in using the old account on your iPhone to use the credit balance. =)

  • My 2 children share an itunes account.  now that they are older and receive lots of itunes gift cards, it's very difficult for them to each redeem cards fairly! how do i set up separate accts

can anyone tell me how to go about setting up a separate account for one child without messing up the original account?  or can anyone give suggestions about redeeming gift cards so each child does not have to keep track of the others purchases.  its' causing a lot of stress around here and potential inequity.  my daughter wants her own acct.  i assume i would set that up under a separate email and will she lose everything?

You will indeed need another email address, but you just then set up the account as you did your current one. You can use your daughter's gift card to set up the account. I'd suggest you give each child his/her own user account in Windows, if you haven't already. That will give them each their own iTunes library and keep each child's purchases completely separate.
As to the existing content, once you've set up the user account for your daughter, just copy the content you want your daughter to have from your current iTunes library to a shared location (either on the computer or on removable storage such as a USB flash drive or an external hard drive), log into your daughter's user account, launch iTunes, and drag the content into the iTunes window. Then just authorize that copy of iTunes to that iTunes Store account (Store menu -> Authorize) and she'll be able to continue to play and sync that content. Log her into her own iTunes Store account for future purchases.

  • I received an itunes gift card by mail and I got 15 £ but I don't now how to redeem it because I have no code

I received a 15 £ itunes gift card by mail and I can't redeem it because I have no code. What should I do? Please help!

The code is under the scratchoff area on the back side of the card. Note that an iTunes card sold in the UK will only be valid in the UK, so if you live in another country, you will not be able to use that card.
    Regards.

  • How To Determine the "Identity" of an iTunes Gift Card Redeemer

Good morning!  I need to know if it is possible to determine which Apple ID was used to redeem an iTunes gift card.  Here is the situation...
My 9 year old daughter received a $15 iTunes gift card for her birthday.  After opening presents, my daughter and her "friend" went off to play with my daughter's new ipod.  A while later, she came back to me with her Touch saying she needed help.  Ultimately, the problem was that she was receiving this message:
"The Gift Certificate or Pre-Paid Code you entered has already been redeemed."
This was a brand new card that had not yet been scratched.  We think her friend grabbed the card and redeemed it using her Apple ID.  Of course, there was a shaky denial given when confronted on it, but before I go to this child's parents, I need to have proof.
So, is there a way to determine which Apple ID was used to redeem an iTunes gift card?
    Thanks!
    Keith

    No.
    Sorry

  • Why has my iTunes gift card suddenly stopped working?

I received a £25 iTunes gift card for my birthday in November and I reddemed it on my iPod touch. I had purchased a film for £6 shortly after Christmas using it and then I decided to wait for the new Disney film Frozen to come out so that I could use the remaining money on it to buy it. However, when it came out at the end of March, I tried buying it but then I saw that the gift card had been taken off my account. Usually it showed that I still had it in the iTunes store at the 'Redeem' section but it didn't have any signs of ever being there. I tried re-redeeming it but it just said that that gift card had already been redeemed.
The only purchase since I reddemed at first was that film I mentioned earlier. I understand that gift cards only expire 2 years after they have been activated so I have no idea what has happened. It's a great pity to lose all the money that was still on it and I really wanted to get that film!
Could someone please help me understand what is going on and if I can still get it to work again???!!!!!

    Hi Ncsimac,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like the iMac is not recognizing an ethernet connection. What is it connecting to? I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

  • Why can't I use my iTunes gift card to purchase an app?

I received a $15 itunes gift card for my birthday and I redeemed the card on iTunes. The $15 is in my account but I can't use it to purchase an app for my mac at the app store. I heard other people had problems with the itunes and app store connections too. However, my friend had purchased an app with the itunes redeemed credit. Am I stuck being able to use it only for itunes purchases? Any answers?

    This is incorrect.
    A. ITUNES STORE, MAC APP STORE, APP STORE, AND IBOOKSTORE TERMS OF SALE
    PAYMENTS, TAXES, AND REFUND POLICY
The iTunes Store, Mac App Store, App Store, and iBookstore services (“Services”) accept these forms of payment: credit cards issued by U.S. banks, payments through your PayPal account, iTunes Cards, iTunes Store Gift Certificates, Content Codes, and Allowance Account balances. If a credit card or your PayPal account is being used for a transaction, Apple may obtain preapproval for an amount up to the amount of the order. Billing occurs at the time of or shortly after your transaction. If you are using 1-Click purchasing or your PayPal account, your order may be authorized and billed in increments during one purchasing session, so it may appear as multiple orders on your statement. If an iTunes Card, iTunes Store Gift Certificate, or Allowance Account is used for a transaction, the amount is deducted at the time of your transaction. When making purchases, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits; your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.

  • Missing iTunes gift card

I was supposed to have received a $100 iTunes gift card free with my retina MacBook Pro on education pricing, that I received in September 2012. I just realised that I received an email stating that the card was delivered, but it hasn't. Can I get a replacement?

Sorry, we're just users here - no one from Apple here. You'll just have to get in contact with iTunes Support - http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html - and go from there.
    Good luck,

Never mind, I changed an 8 to a B and it worked.

  • Issue redeeming a US iTunes gift card for Australia registered account

I received a US iTunes gift card for Christmas but currently have my apple ID registered in Australia. I tried to switch my iTunes store registration from Australia to the US to redeem my gift card, but am unable to do so because iTunes says "you still have rentals that have not expired". How do I delete the rental record so I can switch the country and redeem my gift card? Thanks

You can ONLY use the itunes store of your country of residence AND ONLY while you are physically located inside the borders of that country.
    Are you in the U.S?
Do you have a valid U.S billing address on your credit card?

  • ITunes gift cards for kids under 18

My 13-year-old son was given an iTunes gift card which apparently he cannot use without either giving credit card info or setting up a paypal account. I am not giving my teenager my credit card, and he is too young to legally enter into a paypal contract. Can he use this gift, or what? Any suggestions? If not, we will tell his relatives not to bother with gift cards this year.

Instead of trying to setup a new account directly, go to the iTunes Music Store and find the link that says "Redeem Gift Certificate" or similar. If you're not already logged into an account when you do this, then it will guide you through creating a new account, and it will not require a credit card if you do it this way.

  • HT201209 Can I use iTunes gift cards for iBooks?

Can I use iTunes gift cards for iBooks?  How?

Yes, I've used them to buy from the ibookstore, app store, iTunes and the Mac App Store. They can be used in the ibookstore in the iBooks app (or via your computer's iTunes) in the same way as you use your account's balance to buy music or apps - so you first need to redeem a gift card so that it gets added to your account, and you can then buy things from the stores with it.

  • Revalidation of expired itunes Gift Cards

I hope that I've found the right site to convey this appeal............
Can someone please let me know how I may revalidate 3 No. expired £15 itunes Gift Cards which were mislaid but have now been found in a drawer.
One of the many problems of the ageing process is forgetfulness and I would prefer not to lose £45 worth of value now that I've recovered the Cards,
which were Birthday and Christmas Presents, and therefore, no receipts.
I hope all is not lost and that I can be given instructions to get the matter sorted out soon.
    Thank you for your help.
