bascally I received it from the Usa and when I insert my tmobile sim card it wont work and I dont have that AT&T sim card to activate my iphone any help?

Your phone is locked to AT&T and you will not be able to use it with anyother SIM. AT&T will not unlock an iPhone for any reason. Best to sell the phone and get an unlocked version if that is what you need.

Yes - unlocked means unlocked, but if there is a problem that requires an exchange under warranty, the warranty would be honored in the US only. You would need to return to the US for an exchange under warranty.

You aren't serious are you? Send it back. It is not yours, you do not own it, therefore selling it would constitute selling stolen goods. You would be committing a crime, and you would be screwing whomever you sold it to.

As Wjosten says it is locked to AT&T and they will not unlock it. Even though o2 unlock iphones they can only do this with phones originating from them. So, yes the phone is not able to be officially unlocked.

you could buy it somewhere in Europe. I know Apple sells them unlocked here in Germany and if I am not mistaken also (among others) in France and Italy.
Yet, as Peter wrote, the warranty can become a problem. Not sure whether a one country only rule goes for the European Community as well though.
As for the price, the 16 GB model costs 679,- € (equals roughly 550 £). Currently there is an average delivery time of 4 to 5 weeks.
LTE connections will not work with Orange or Vodafone. Only EE is about to offer a compatible LTE network. DC-HSPA and regular HSPA+ will work fine.

Unless you live in the US & plan on using the iPhone 5 in the US, you DO NOT want a US iPhone 5. Apple will sell three different variants of the iPhone 5. The model sold in the US will only work, for LTE, in the US & Canada...no where else. You've been warned.

I am using iPhone 4 from the last one year and went dead and got it replaced by paying Rs.12500/- to Nyasa Sion Koliwada Mumbai Service Provider but now again after 38days the problem has started, what do i do? Is this is the quality & service we boost? On visiting the store we get only one reply you may write to Apple directely. we have the similar kind of problem with iPad which is being used by my wife Mr.Neelam Vij and paid Rs.16000/- to get it replaced within a year & 6months use. so in totality we have paid Rs.28500/- + Rs. 3000/- diagnostic charges.

Moreover, we have no information to contact whom. even the replace set has a warranty of only three month which further confirm that Apple itself is not confident wheather product will last after replacement for more then three month. Slightly against laws in the US and in other countries.

I bought an iPhone 5 from the Apple store with a new Sprint contract in Sept. 2012. I would like to know if I port my number to T-mobile and pay off my Early Termination fee with Sprint, will my iPhone 5 will be unlocked to use with T-mobile network?
As Ethmoid says, it is still a CDMA phone as I told you earlier, and it will not work with t-mobile. Even if Sprint unlocked the phone, it would only unlock the GSM side for international use. They will not unlock the GSM side for domestic use in the US.

Sounds like the music you had on your phone was not the same music on his computer. The iPhone/iPod touch is not designed to be a storage device. When you sync with a computer that doesn't have your music, it deletes your music from your phone.
Was this music you purchased from iTunes? if so, and you are in the US, tap on itunes app, tap updates, tap purchased and tap on the cloud icon to get each song back. If you're not int he us, get iOS5 update later this week and do the same.
But you need to move your itunes library to his computer. Create a user account on his macbook pro for you. From your external drive backup, load your itunes library on it. Then sync as usual! (Don't tell me you don't have a backup for your computer!)
