I received a new iphone and it will not sync my songs or apps? help
I received a new iphone 4 and plugged it in to sync my stuff from my old iphone4 (it broke) and it will not transfer my songs or any of my apps. I have tried everything. I just want my new phone to have everything my old phone has on it. THANKS

So I know this has been a problem for a lot of people and I have seen some pretty random solutions, but none have worked for me. I have an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2. Both are running their latest version of iOS 5. My Macbook has the latest version of iTunes installed. This problem has lasted since the previous version of iTunes as well, however. Basically, neither of my iOS devices will sync. I have tried both syncing over wi-fi and USB cable, and I have had no success. Both devices get stuck on the first step, "Waiting for sync to start." Eventually it will time out and quit. I have tried all of the solutions such as turning off the phone, quitting iTunes and then restarting everything and retrying. Nothing has worked. The only thing I have not tried is uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes as I've read in multiple places that reinstalling iTunes is pretty much never the solution. Even though I know it's not likely, I'm worried about losing information out of iTunes if I tried that. So I'm hoping someone has another solution for me.
Well, I got incredibly frustrated last night so I just did a whole restore again. After the restore, my phone synced back up putting all the apps and such back on. Thought it was fixed. But now that I've gotten home and tried to sync again, it's back to not working. I figure this has to be a software issue on my mac since it's both the iPhone and the iPad, right? If it was a problem with the software on the devices, it wouldn't be affecting both. Or maybe I'm wrong. Would an uninstall and reinstall of iTunes do anything?

My Iphone and Ipad will not pick up my new email messages..for the last few days...I have tried deleteling the account (a number of times..) and setting the account back up? and it still only picks up the old messages? Anyone else having tis problem? Any ideas how to fix it?

I have moved from the UK to New Zealand and Itunes will not accept my new Zealand bank details, I am trying to change my details on the Iphone 4s
Do you have a new Apple ID to use in NZ? If not open iTunes Store. Log out of your old Apple ID, then try to login. Select Create Apple ID from the dialog that appears. Make a new Apple ID for NZ with a NZ email address. Once that is approved and verified, log into the iTunes Store with the new Apple ID. This should fix all other issues.
Change iTunes Store Country on an iDevice
1. Tap Settings;
2. Tap iTunes & App Stores;
3. Tap View Apple ID;
4. Enter your user name and password;
5. Tap Country/Region;
6. Tap Change Country/Region;
7. Select the region where you will be located;
8. Tap Done.

Some messages sent/received on my iphone and ipad do NOT show in Messages Beta. Why?
In the past 4 weeks I started experiencing this issue: some of the messages I send from my iphone and ipad will NOT show in Messages Beta for Mac OSX. Likewise, some of the messages received on my iphone and ipad often don't show on my Messages Beta.

The best I have on this at the moment is that the Messages App is still Beta.
Secondly there have been some changes to the way the iMessages parts are syncing.
This may be due to Apple making changes to the iMessages server and the resultant sync issue to do with that.
Of course in the change over, if my guess is right, some messages may have been lost.
Some of this seems to be altering the way Messages get Flagged as to whether they were delivered or not.

You will need to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 in order to update iTunes to sync with your iPhone.
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

Good morning, I installed ios6 on the new iPad and siri will not work. Each time I try to use siri she says "uh oh, I'm having a problem. Please try again. I have tried turning siri off and back on again. Resetting the iPad, resetting the network, turning Airplane Mode off and on again. All to know avail. My iphone 5 works great and so does my wife's iphone 4s with ios6. I have called Apple support but there only suggestion was that the servers were busy. If that was the case my other devices would not work either. Plus the servers wouldn't be busy for four days. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. I was looking forward to using siri on the new iPad and other folks don't seem to be having a problem.

It's very possible Apple's servers have been busy for 4 days as not everyone downloaded iOS 6 on the day it was announced. I downloaded it last Friday, myself, as an example.
There are a millions and millions of people using Apple iDevices.
Just because everything went fine with the iOS 6 updates of your iPhone 4 and 5 doesn't mean something couldn't have gone wrong with an update to your iPad3
If the iOS update missed something during the download, I am not sure how to go about re-downloading iOS 6 to fix the issue you are having. -
I got a new iPhone and i am trying to buy songs but when I go to buy a song on iTunes it says I have to answer my security questions and I don't remember the answers. I pressed where it says for them to email you your answers but I haven't gotten an email. Is there another way to change or get the answers for the security questions?
If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I just received my IPad and it will not sync with ITunes and my Mac doesn't recognize it any form. The screen is black with the exception of the annoying ITunes/USB cable graphic on the screen which appears momentarily and then disappears. Any ideas?
Things you can try first off,
is make sure you plug in your USB at the back of the mac, rather than for example keyboard.
Check out another usb cable.
Hold down sleep/wake and home button at the same time to reset iPad.
Make sure you have the latest iTunes installed or you may have to reinstall iTunes.
None of these work then I suggest you to take it to an Apple retail store for the genius guy to check it out. -
I have just bought a new Imac and it will not load my copy of FCE 3.5 as it says "PowerPC applications are no longer supported". So how do I get to use the version of FCE I am used to and have paid for ?
I do not have any experience with Final Cut, but if you have existing projects that you MUST access; then you are in need of a solution on your new iMac in Mountain Lion!
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. Purchase a used Mac that will run Snow Leopard (with the optional Rosetta installed) and continue to run FCE on that Mac (you can actually use Screen Sharing with a "headless" used Snow Leopard Mac Mini and use the 27" screen from your iMac to view and work FCE in the Mac Mini environment);
2. Upgrade to an Intel compatible version of FCE and hope it converts your existing projects to its newer format correctly. There is much debate that the newer version of Final Cut are eliminating many needed features; for example Final Cut Pro X vs. Final Cut Pro 6 -- many users are staying with version 6;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels and then install FCE in the Snow Leopard environment:

Neither iPads nor iPhones sync to Apple TVs. They can however, stream to them. Is that what you mean? If so, yes, you can use both your iPhone and iPad with your ATV, though not at the same time.

Remove all of these items in the following order:

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.
