I received a notice to update my "inpirational brwoser" for Elements 9, but it wouldn't install after the download. I follwed the instructions to remove the old file to the trash and install the new one, but got an error message(#2038) saying it would not install and to contact the author of the program. Could find nowhere to that, and wound up here.
What's wrong...with the program or what I did?

Can't answer this specifically for elements, but failing updates are usually caused by blocked installer databases or version conflicts with other Adobe products. You should uninstall everything and start from scratch, then do any updates in order of priority, i.e. update your older Elements version first before updating Flash/ AIR/ ADobe Reader or whatever else you may be using additionally and whose newer components might confuse the updater.

Make sure you are using the correct App Store
1. Tap "Settings"
2. Tap "iTunes & App Stores"
3. Tap on your Apple ID
4.Tap "View Apple ID"
5. Enter your user name and password.
6. Tap "Country/Region."
7. Tap "Change Country/Region"
8. Select the country/region where you are located.
9. Tap "Done".
Note: If the change doesn't take effect, sign out of account and sign in again.

It sounds like the apps were purchased using your dads account, so they will have to be updated using that account.

all I remember is that my iPad mini performed poorly under iOS 7. Try to update it to the very latest version. Also you will have to use iOS 8.1.3, because 8.1.2 is no longer signed in case you were trying to install that. You can get the latest IPSW from http://IPSW.me just enter in your device and it will forward you to the right Apple ios download link.
Another thing is keeping your device memory free, if you have a 16 gig device, it's harder to keep space free. my iPad mini is 16 gig, but all I can ever keep free is 1 GB so I keep it at that. Turn off "iCloud photo sharing beta" and that will help a little bit. also when you do a restore from iTunes, don't restore your backup right away, see how it performs fresh, and then add your apps back in one at a time you might have to sacrifice photos and other personal things for performance.

I think we'd better see if some other application (other than QuickTime itself) has dropped old QuickTime componentry in the system files on the PC. (If there's a version mismatch between the old componentry and the "QuickTime proper" componentry, that can create those symptoms.)
So we'll go looking for the older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view options on the PC.
1. Open My Computer from the desktop or Start menu.
2. In the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab.
4. In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders" make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected, and the "Hide extensions for known file types" option is unchecked.

The box appears after I'm on the internet. It's on my desktop when I go to shut down my computer and after I've shut down the internet. When I click on the x it doesn't disappear. Best thing for you to do is set up a mail filter and just throw those into the trash or delete them the second they come into your email box.

I have not seen much in the way of alternatives coming from Adobe on the Premiere Elements 13.1 failed updates.

The CC people seem to have the advantage of an online download of their update as well as the one via the Help Menu/Update.
Premiere Elements does not have that perk - update only via Help Menu/Update.

Updated to Flash 10 for OSX10.4 but it doesn't work on some websites

I'm using Firefox but it happens in Safari as well. Some websites are OK. But others with flash appear blank or on myspace the music says i need to update my flash player. I have the newest flash player. I went to the check if flash installed correctly and i see the animation and all is fine. But some websites with flash don't seem to work.
Is there an easy fix somehow? Why do some work and others left blank?

ITunes 12.1 update in App store continues to ask me for an upgrade, but it´s already installed

App Store asked me for an iTunes update to iTunes 12.1, I did it as usual, waiting everything its ok, but after upgrade app store stills asking for the update, I can´t find another similar issue on forums, so I decided post my question in here with the hope that somebody have the same issue and of course to know a solution.
