I received an email that said if I didn't verify my icloud information that my acct was going to be cancelled withing 24 hours. Is this legit..
Apple will rarely if ever initiate contact with you. They will let an iTunes account sit there with an expired credit card for months or years and not care....until you try to make a purchase, then they'll care. Usually you have to do something first to get them to contact you.
Scams like this are horribly common and I think, between this and yahoo telling me my account will be terminated unless I verify my details, I get at least a couple of these a day.

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. When will I receive my email that my iPhone 5 has been shipped?
I still have not received my email that my iPhone 5 has been shipped. I ordered at 6 in the morning on Friday. When I check my order all I get is this "We received your order and it is in process." But, it does say I should receive it this Friday. I'm just very anxious for this will be my first smartphone!
I ordered at 3:38 am EST online. I never recieved an email confirmation email. On 9/17 I saw that Verizon had charged my account for the phone. So on today (9/18) I dail *611 from the phone that I applied the upgrade to then went to option 4 then said "order status". Right away it said a text message would be sent to my phone with shipping information. Before I could hang up they sent me the Fed Ex tracking number which said it was shipped from West Chester, PA @ 12:33a.m. on 9/18. So I'm expecting mine maybe tomorrow or Thursday. So I never recieved an email from Verizon, but I will be getting my phone before the release date how cool is that?

In a hurry, I opened an email that said "order was shipped from "ammazon". I downloaded the order document and it ended up being a zip file. I then realized what it was, and did not actually open the file. This was on my Iphone 5. What should I do now!?
Delete the email. The zip file will have no effect on your iPhone.

NanWMP is a windows proprietary format.
It is not supported on iOS devices.
QuickTime player is built into ios and used for all video playback-nothing is being converted.
You can try downloading an alternate player that can playback wmp or use a computer. -

Not unless it goes back online. If it was stolen it may have been restored, in which case it will never appear again in Find My iPhone.

Stop using the drive immediately, un plug it.
Buy a copy of ProSoft DataRescue 4 and use it to search for deleted files. -

My husband received an email from Apple stating our account was frozen and we needed to update our credit information. We recently got a new credit card and so went ahead and updated information. They asked about mothers maiden name and social security information. Now we are feeling skeptical. Are these the kinds of questions Apple would ask? That email was a phishing attempt to get your iTunes account and payment details - iTunes accounts aren't 'frozen', and iTunes don't need your social security info.
If your husband entered his card details then he should contact the card issuer immediately and get it cancelled and replaced.
He should also change the password on his iTunes account e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on his computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

Hi! I received this email today that says that my apple ID is about to expire and that I have to verify it before it expires so I clicked on the link that says "Verify now," and asks me for my credit card information and personal information just to verify my account. (and even the type of font the use is kind of strange.)
These folks are very "crafty" - clearly they use Apple images, fonts, etc. It is easy to do when the official Apple Style Guide is publicly available to all ☞ https://help.apple.com/asg/mac/2013/ASG_2013.pdf

What else?Go back to your homescreen, then completely close down your mail app by double clicking the home button to open the multi-tasking bar. Hold your finger on the mail app icon and then click the red circle that appears on the left of the icon.
Once you have done that, reopen the mail app and you should be sorted.
