I recently bought a wireless router the wrt600n. I pluged the external HD ubs cable to the storage link on the router but it would not read the HD. I tried using the easylink advisor to add device but then when searching for the External HD its is not found. But when i go into the router setup manually under storage it detects the HD and i have it on share mode. The router is setup on my pc. When i got into my computer it does not detect the HD but on my macbook it detects the HD in share when i access the HD my connection cut right away. Why is that? Can someone help me. thanks

I have an iphone 4S on ios 7.0.3 and am attempting to use airplay with an airplay enabled AV receiver (Pioneer VSX-53). I also recently upgraded my wireless router and the roouter is working fine with the five elements on the network. Prior to the upgrade to 7.0.3 and the router upgrade the airplay feature working fine and i was able to consistently use airplay to stream music th the AV receiver. After the upgrades the airplay icon no longer appears on my iphone or on my macbook running itunes. Any suggestion on how to trouble shoot the missing airplay icon is much appreciated.

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

i just bought a wireless router and i cannot get it to work. it is a wrt54g v6. the power light keeps flashing. I tried talking with linksys to get it fixed, but nothing is working. it says to disconnect from the modem and update my firmware, but i cant get the IP address to come up on the address bar. can someone please help me out.

If you have just bought the router and it has a flashing power light return the router. It is not worth trying to revive a broken router in that case. Return the router and get a properly working one. I would not want to start with a broker router even if you may be able to revive it. You'll never know what caused the problem and whether you will have more issues later.

I have bought a wireless router WRT150N and configured it. I have a DSL Cable modem. I am not able to connect to Internet sites (even when connected to the router through cable). I have a VPN client in my laptop and i am able to connect it. after connecting the vpn i am able to browse all the sites. why i am not able to browse the sites without connecting the vpn? If i directly connect to the modem (i.e without router) i am able to browse.
Is there any configuration settings i am missing out?

Yes i think you are missing some configuration setings on the router ....
As it is a DSL connection .... you can use this link to configure the router using DSL connection ....

How do I make my wireless router the "preferred network"? I have to manually re-select it each time I boot up or when it comes out of standby. This has only started to occur now that I have a new wireless router. I want it to automatcially select my router.

Only thing I think you can do is to try and appeal to Apple's better nature and explain what has happened, I would not hold your breath though.

I have an adobe ID, have enterred the redemption code and been informed it is not "active" How do I proceed to install my softwared from the CDs? The plastic "label" over the code on the back of the box had not been tampered with.

If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

Someone used a pc to access my wireless router, the admin name went to their name, now I can get online with my MacBook???

A friend used her Dell to access our wireless router. She entered the router number on her pc, and it asked for the administrator. She typed in her name, now the rounter is under her name, and my MacBook is under her name. It won't let me or her connect to the wireless. It works fine if I hard-wire it. I've restarted the MacBook, and the router. Reset the modem and the router, still no luck. Any ideas?

I have the new IPad and am using it with the verizon mifi2200 wireless and when i am using apps the location services cannot find me wifi is working and location services is on this does not happen when i am using a wifi that is at my office or in hotels does anyone know anything about this because verizon dosn't?

I recently bought a version of the student/teacher extended edition of Photoshop CS6

I registered it before realizing that it's for WINDOWS, not MAC! So obviously I couldn't use it and downloaded a Mac version... but is the registration going to matter if I need to return it? I can't use the PC version because I don't have a PC and we bought it at best buy WHILE BUYING A MAC and the salesman didn't even say anything.

I thought PS had to be installed before regeresting... But regardless Adobe Support should be able to help you out. Contact them with all sales info.

I have recently bought iphone 5. at the beging all my apps synced with itunes but now apps are not synced.

Would these be the iLife apps that are preinstalled on new Macs?
There is supposed to be a process of accepting these apps into your Apple ID account.
1. Be sure that you have enetered your iTunes/Mac App Store (MAS) Apple ID in System Prefs/Users & Groups/Password.
2. Open the MAS and sign into your account.
3. Check the Purchased pane, the apps should be listed with Accept buttons.
4. Accept the apps.
After accepting the apps you should be able to update them. If they are not listed on the Purchased pane of the MAS then I would return with the Mac to place of purchase and enlist their aid in getting the apps into your MAS account.
