I recently bought an iPod Touch 5th Generation to go running with, thinking it would be like my iPhone but it doesn't have GPS. Have I wasted my money or does anyone have a solution? I was wondering whether the Nike sensor would work if I buy it?

ipod touch and running

Yes, the Nike show sensor works for the iPod touch.

Apple have never accepted trade-ins agains the cost of a new device. You will need to sell the one you bought and apply the proceeds to the model you want.

  • I just bought a ipod touch 5th generation space gray but i think there is a problem

I just bought a ipod touch 5th generation space gray today and I feel that the audio isn't as good as I expected. When bought an Ipod touch 4th generation, the audio was so good but now its not.  I bought a 5th generation expecting that it would be just as good as the first time I played audio on  my ipod touch 4th generation.
    What should I do?

Yo have 14 days after purchase to return it for a full refund if yo purchased it from Apple.

  • I bought an iPod touch 5th generation in December,2012.

I bought an iPod touch 5th generation in December,2012. However, my screen was broken yesterday. Why I have to pay the bill for the broken screen?

The Apple warranty does not cover accidental damage, only manufacturing defects.  Same as an automobile warranty does not cover an accident you might have.
Take the iPod Touch to an Apple store genius bar for an out-of-warranty replacement, on the 5th generation Touch that will be $149 (US).

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

  • I have recently bought a ipod touch 5th genertion.  I set the passcode and sadly forgot it so now my ipod is disabled and says connect to itunes. I did but when i did it said that my ipod was locked and that I needed to unlock it. But my ipod is disabled!

Put the iPod into Recovery Mode and then restore it:

If that still doesn't work, as a last resort try DFU mode:

  • My iPod Touch 5th Generation won't charge with the cable

There are no bents on the charger. When I plug it into my computer (MacBook Air) it says that a USB has used to much power and something like that... I already have my iPod updated to the ios 7. I had the iPod for about 3 months now. What is wrong with it?

    Not Charge
    - See:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use. Your error messge typically means a bad cable
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Hey, I just bought an ipod touch 5th generation, but my lightning usb is not working anymore.

It didn't got wet, neither is phisicaly damaged... the problem is i'm not from the US (where I bought it) so I can't use the warranty.

Is it? okay well today I went to my capital city where there is an Apple Store, and they said the warranty is not international! I'm from Ecuador btw.
I don't know what to do since no one I know is traveling to the US in the near future.

  • Hey I just bought a Ipod touch 5th Generation. I redeemed an Itunes card and tried to buy my first song. However it asked me to answer my security questoins. I forgot them so i clicked to get an email regarding on how to change my security question answer

    Can anybody help me

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Cracked Ipod touch 5th generation. Although it still works. How do i trade it in for a refurbished one?

                                               CRACKED IPOD 5
I bought an ipod touch 5th generation around A year ago. Now it has cracked. The crack is not that big but still noticebal. But the Ipod still works perfectly, but it still bothers me that theres a crack on the glass. I read online that apple can trade it for a refurished ipod. But i dont have a warranty or i dont have any of the stuff anymore. Just the charger and the ipod. I lost the box and headphones because ive had it for awhile now. And i tend to lose things. So is there still away for me to trade it in or get it repaired from apple? If you have any information for me that could help me    IF YOU HAVE A SOLUTION NOTIFY ME ASAP.

Do not post your personal emails on a public user forum for your own privacy.
Book an appointment at an Apple Store and ask them if you could get an out of warranty service. Apple do not repair devices they replace them so for a price due to accidental damage they may replace your iPod.
If you do not wish to go to an Apple Store then give them a call and see if you have postage service options for a replacement in your country/region. Follow the link below for the number in your country:

  • My iPod Touch 5th Generation loses charge when the device is turned OFF!!! Help!

I bought my iPod Touch 5th Generation a couple months back and it has been working beautifully. I loved the new design, features, color choices, etc. However, just a couple days ago, my iPod has been acting up. I turned it off one night with a FULL battery (I usually turn it off when I'm not using it) and when I turned it back on in the morning, half the battery was gone. Originally, I assumed that maybe I just didn't swipe to turn it off right. WRONG. I charged it up, used it, and turned it off again for the night. When I turned it on the next day, the battery was practically gone. I tried not to panic, so I just restored the iPod to its original settings. I erased EVERYTHING. Then I charged it for a good six hours. The problem didn't go away.
This isn't a cheap device. I'm sure you guys know that. The only reason why I think this could be happening could be because of the new iOS 6.1.2 update. I updated my iPod about a week or so ago. And now I'm having this serious problem? That is the ONLY possibility I could think of. And this thing is brand new. I treat it like it is made of glass. Literally. I'm so meticulous when it comes to my things.
So can someone please help me try to fix this problem? I still have a warranty and the iPod is under a year old. To replace the battery now is ridiculous. It's brand new. I didn't pay hundreds of dollars for my iPod to croak on me after using it for a couple of months.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!
