I recently changed to lion 10.7.4
Hello
Before my new osx i use snow leopard. I have two network disks an airport with 2gb and a qnap t219pii with 2gb.I could simultaneous transfer the same file both external disks. Now with lion i can't do the same .
Is it something i have as a problem ?
I noticed that also i am unable to set jumbo frames in network settings ?
i appreciated a solution.
iMac 21.5-inch, Late 2009
Processor 3,06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)
thank you
hello
i was able with latest snow leopard to send both servers the same file simultaneous.
im certain because i have menumeters which i get a result of 85% and above in my gigabit network .Now with lion the second transfer waits for the first .In menumeters now i get the max 48% of the same network.Just because of that i m thinking to go back. If i do i will try to take a snapshot of desktop to see that.
thank you

I have mac book pro and recently changed to Lion. since then it will not recognise my epson r2880 printer telling me it is not connected when it plainly is with usb connection?
Turn off your printer.
Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan > Printers window and delete the printer from the list, then add it back.
Turn on your printer.
Any difference?

Recent change to Lion (and I'm still fairly new to Mac)
All,
I am experiencing something on my Macbook Pro since installing Lion and I am not sure how to repair it. I have 320 gb of HD space and something labeled "other" is using up 250gb of my hard drive and it won't allow me to even perform software upgrades because it says I don't have enough disk space. Secondly, it is saying my startup disk if full. Not being a Mac person until recently, I am uncertain of my next steps.
I suppose I will have to save everything to an external hard drive and then erase the disk, but that is something I've never done before.
Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks!Yet another example of why it's a VERY BAD IDEA to do a clean install of Lion unless you are already VERY familiar with how to tweak the Mac OS. There's a reason Apple engineers removed it as an option. To accomplish it you have to erase your disk; not for the faint hearted.
Do you have a backup? PLEASE don't tell us you did this without a robust backup.
You erased the operating machine, so your computer went to the only place it could find one, the Recovery partition. And it's minimal, so it has to download everything in small chunks to reinstall itself. So yeah, it could take 10 hours.
Here's another option. Do you still have the original disks that came with your machine? Put one in and restart from it. You can reinstall your old system much faster. Then go to the Mac App Store and your purchase history and see if you can redownload Lion (I think that still works).
And this time just do yourself a favor and install per Apple's instructions. When the machine starts into Lion, use Setup ***'t (the first thing that fires up) to migrate from your backup.

I have Lion on my laptop and I want to back up my calendar TO my iphone. Not the reverse. iCloud only goes from iphone to iCloud to mac not the other way. Also, why doesn't "sync" mean update most recent changes across all devices? I thought that was the point of iCloud. Any suggestions since iCloud doesn't seem to work?
It's a work computer so I wanted to save them to my iTunes so I can access from another computer. Should I go to a home computer and just Import for best results? If so how do I do this? Also, why would I be synched with another library and how do I find out what this is? Very new/green user here

I have recently changed my email address and cosequent apple ID when I went to buy Lion download the old email address comes up?
By default, the email address that you last used will be automatically displayed in the Apple ID box, leaving you just the password to enter. Just change the email address and enter your password an you should be fine. Note that you may see that old email address pop up a few times more - here, in the iTunes store, etc. - but if you've changed both all of your purchases, etc., should be linked to your 'new' Apple ID.

Hi. I recently changed my MacBook Pro password, and now I don't recall what it is. My hope is that I can somehow gain access without deleting everything currently on it. I do not have the MAC disk that it came with. Is there something I can do myself? Should I take it to the MAC store? Thanks in advance for your help.
It helps with this kind of question to state which system version you are using on the computer as the answer will vary.

I recently changed Broadband provider
I recently changed Broadband provider and my email address, which was also my Apple ID. I have managed to change my Apple ID and icloud on my ipad and iphone 4 to the new email/ID, but cannot change icloud on my Macbook Pro (which is on Lion OS x 10.7.5). It keeps coming up with a box to tell me there is a problem with icloud and shows the previous email/ID. But when I enter the password for the old email/ID it does not recognise it. This means I can no longer sync the Macbook with the other 2 devices. Can anyone help me solve this please?

I not so recently changed my email adress I associated with my Apple ID and my iCloud ID. My old email still shows up for iCloud, and won't let me change it to my new email. When I try to delete it and replace it with the proper email, it wants my password, which it won't accept because it's an invalid username.
I had this same issue and got it resolved very simply when I contacted Apple SUpport

My new iMac has recently had OSX Lion installed on it and now when I start the machine it looks like its updating something every time, and the wireless doesn't work. So I restart and everything is OK - until I have to start up again the next time - then I have to repeat this again! Any help appreciated.
I've been having the same issue, but have just discovered something on my own that hasn't been pointed out in any of the forums I've visited. In what I thought would be a vain attempt to help myself, I went to System Preferences, Users & Groups, and then clicked on Login Items. I discovered that one of the Items that was listed to open automatically upon login was iTunes Helper and that there was an exclamation point beside it indicating that it was incompatible. I simply deleted that item and now I don't have the situation you described and my wireless is connected. Hope this helps!

I recently changed my Email address which required me to change my username for my Apple ID and my password. The changed has been successful, but each time that I open my iPad, I get a message that I need to enter my Apple ID to continue to receive downloads. The problem is that the username that comes up for entry of the password is the OLD Apple ID username. I have entered the old password and then then I am directed that it is not correct and given advice to change my password or username. I can't figure out how to resolve this issue.
If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

I recently changed my Apple ID online, but I can't find a way to change it on my iPod touch. When I try to purchse an app, the iTouch keeps showing my old ID. However, when I purchase an app online with the new ID, it downloads to my iPod. What do I do to change the ID on the iPod itself?
Have you went to Settings>Store and sign out and sign back in?

I recently changed my Apple ID but I keep getting messages from my Cloud account asking for my password to my old Apple ID. If I go in and delete the current Cloud account that appears to still be associated with my old ID and set up new one with my current ID will I lose all the stuff in the Cloud?
Did you just change the address or did you create a new Apple ID.
