You shouldn't need any application except what you already have: iMovie, iDVD, iPhoto....

  • Cannot get onto the Internet on wifi

I am connected to my wifi at home and am not able to get onto the network. I am using the cellular connection at the moment.
    Ha anyone had this issue?

    Hi Jkh12,
On the iPad, turn the WiFi off and back on again. Go to Settings -> WiFi. Turn the switch to Off. Wait a few seconds. Turn it back on. Try connecting to the WiFi network again.
Restart the iPad. Press and hold the Wake/Sleep button until you see the red slider button. Slide to power off. Wait a few seconds. Press and release the Wake/Sleep button to power it back on again. Once it powers back up, try connecting to WiFi again.
Try reseting the iPad (different from restarting). Hold down on both the Sleep andHome buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds (ignore the red slider button). Keep holding both buttons until the Apple Logo appears. When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of both buttons. Once it powers back up, try connecting to WiFi again.
Try resetting the network connections on your iPad. General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.
    Hope this helps!
    ~Joe

i have a  ipad 64GB Wifi 3G and i can not get onto the internet, i dont have a data plan yet & i have  set up wifi but it wont conect to the internet

From your description above I conclude that the WiFi transmitter and receiver of your iPad appear to be working, but I abviously cannot tell how well they are working.
Have you reset your iPad already?
Press the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until only the white Apple logo appears on the screen - usually 10 to 15 seconds - ignore anything else.

  • Downloaded coupon from shopathome and now can't get onto the internet how do I remove it

In order to get access to download coupons I had to upload their information and toolbar which is visible on my problem loading page from Mozilla. I was able to get this far by going into windows safe mode.
I can not get on line by Internet Explorer or MSN. The address is correct. I fear that a virus maybe backdoor or simply the ShopAtHome site has locked me out of the internet. All other computers in the home work on the internet. Is there a way to go back before I downloaded this or is there a way to delete it

    Instructions from the ShopAtHome.com web site ( http://www.shopathome.com/pages/faqs.aspx#gen13):<br />
    '''''For Windows Users:'''''<br />
'''''To uninstall the Toolbar, go to your Windows Control Panel. Next, click on "Add/Remove Programs". Our Toolbar is listed as ShopAtHome.com Toolbar or SelectRebates. Click on the appropriate name, then click on Change/Remove. With the "SelectRebates" version, you will see a box which gives you a choice of uninstalling both the Toolbar and SelectRebates software, or only the Toolbar. (Please note that if you uninstall the SelectRebates Software, the Toolbar is also removed.) Make your selection to uninstall only the Toolbar; or both the SelectRebates Software and Toolbar, and click "ok." With the ShopAtHome.com Toolbar you will not see any box, the software will simply go through the uninstall process and remove the necessary files. The Toolbar and/or Software are removed after your reboot your computer. '''''

You have an item installed that is considered malware/spyware/adware, "My Web Search Plugin Stub". This type of pest is usually installed along with software you download from the internet; generally free programs, but not always. Carefully watch for "extra" items that will be installed and un-check or opt-out of them.

  • Wifi is no, Able to search internet but not to update iOS software ( it says i haver no internet connection, but i do because i can surf the internet?? Can anybody help.

I need help with This thing. I Have na iPad 3. It. says no service although it does show the wifi bar. Also I am Able to surf but on general it shows there is an update for the software and when i try to start it, it shows i'm not connected to internet. How can that be?  I Also tried to connect my iPhone to the same wifi and it says no internet connection. anybody?.

    Hello there, Learning.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great, basic troubleshooting steps for issues with Wi-Fi on an iOS device:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
If the issue persists after performing the initial recommended steps, then try the following:
Unable to access the Internet while connected to Wi-Fi
If you're using a public or commercial network, you may need to log in or subscribe.
Check to see if you have a self-assigned IP address:
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected and tap .
If your IP address is 169.254.xxx.xxx, you may not be able to access the Internet.
If you do not have a self-assigned IP address, see if other Wi-Fi devices on your network have Internet access.
If they do not, consult with your network administrator or ISP for further assistance.
If they do, reset network settings on your device by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
    recently used Bluetooth accessories
    VPN and APN settings
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

    1. Go to http://appleid.apple.com and change your password: make sure it has at least eight characters (more would be better), at least one of which is a capital, at least one lower case, and at least one a numeral.
    2. Sign out in System Preferences>iCloud then sign back in again and re-enable Mail.

my ipad2 's wifi is connected but i can't go internet. who can help me

Check the IP address assigned to your iPad (touch the ">" next to your network name in Settings > WiFi). If it starts with 169 then your router has not assigned a valid LAN IP address to your iPad. It might appear to be connected but you will have no success on the internet.
Sometimes restarting your router by temporarily (30 seconds) removing/restoring power to it will solve this problem. If it doesn't check that your router has up-to-date manufacturer's firmware and test your iPad on some other networks to see if it works properly there.

  • Recently downloaded Mac OS X Mavericks and Safari has become noticeably less responsive; slow to load web pages. Also, when Safari is open, the Finder randomly comes to the front. Any ideas?

Recently downloaded Mac OS X Mavericks and Safari has become noticeably less responsive; slow to load web pages. Also, when Safari is open, the Finder randomly comes to the front. Any ideas?

In fact, I am runing some plug-ins:  ClickToPlugin (Flash blocker), Collusion and Disconnect.
There is quite a history of new versions of Safari breaking third-party plug-ins/extensions becasue the plug developer did not have an updated version available by the time the new Safari version dropped. What you report--worked fne before but won't now--is exactly what history says happens in such a case.
First, turn off all third-party stuff and see if Safari smooths out. Alternatively, create a new user account and, from there, test Safari in its native state with nothing added. That is a good diagnostic to see if the issue is a plug or extension.
If either of those helps, check for updates to the add-ons. If the developer is slow in reacting to the updated Safari version, (not unheard of), stop using that extension until an update is available.

My airport extreme (generation 5) was set up using wifi and has worked flawlessly (on macbook pro 2 iphones and window 7 HP pc)until recently. I have reset to factory defaults over and over but still cannot get on the internet. However I can then take my DSL cord and insert it in a different Ethernet port other than the WAN port and I can get internet on my Mac and iphones but only wifi on my husband's PC.  I hate to spend another $179 if this is just something I'm doing wrong. I'm having a bit of trouble confirming that the ZyXEL is a combination modem & wireless-N router. If it is, then you really won't get any advantages of using the 802.11g AirPort.
If the range of your ZyXEL is limited, you may find that doing either or both of the following will help: 1) Move the ZyXEL so that it is higher vs. lower in the room, that is away from any closed areas or placed in a metal cabinet, and 2) Changing radio channels. The latter is especially important in you live in an area where there are a number of competing Wi-Fi.
A good utility to find out, is iStumbler. You would use this to find these other Wi-Fi and find which have the strongest signal value. Those that do, you would also want to note which channel they are operating on, and then, change yours to one that is at least 3-5 channels away. So, for example, if you find strong ones on channels 1 & 6, change yours to 11.
